I sent a 7 lb bag of excellent condition and brand new items to be sold, and they only accepted 4 items and donated the rest. Their "clean out" bags are now my new "garbage" bags! I would have been better off selling my things at a yard sale or on Ebay!

I sent a bag full of kids clothes that were like new and a few women's pieces and they only picked three pieces out of the bag. What did the do with the rest of it?? Wouldn't surprise me if it ended up on another site. And their payout policy is crap!!

Sell or consign your clothes to anyone but these people. I packed up at a minimum $1k with of designer labels (black halo, frye, etc.) and shipped off my box excited to see what they came back with. I initially got a response that they received my shipment - they notified me it would take 2/3 weeks to process. That day came and went with no communication so I emailed them to check in. Over a week later they finally responded to say they were behind and gave me a date two weeks after THAT day as a new processing date. Finally, I get the email notification that my box had been processed. I logged on to find a COMPLETELY different shipment, with some of my clothing mixed in. On top of that, I only received a $63 store credit for the over 30 items they processed under my name. I was so frustrated that I didn't even reach out, took my $63 credit to purchase a purse and gave up. What a joke.

Great company. Honest and very functional. I would ( and have ) recommend it! Buying is a pleasure, selling is a luxury. They are worth trying! I buy items (some with tags) from this site for lovely gifts even!

I sent 2 bags filled with clothes that I had outgrown but where still in perfect condition. Designer pants, blouses and a leather West that was like new. After waiting FOREVER to receive any sign that they received my donation, I finally received their payment: $15.51 total for everything!!!! For a hat that I donated, originally worth around $ 45 (crazy, I know), they have me $ 0.75. This hat was hat new and I bad they sold it for a high price. Long story - frustrating story! I will NEVER use ThreadUp again not will I recommend this to any of my friends. My daughter had the same experience: She donated 4 huge bags full of clothes and they GENEROUSLY gave her $ 30 in total. That is just not right.

I have nothing but good things to say about them. Have bought several things from them and all great quality and super great prices. Quick delivery. Sweet packaging. Easy to navigate app. I just wish they had more nike shoes, I'd probably buy them out !!

I almost cleared out my closet and sent them items in perfect condition. I am getting close to nothing back. Even a brand new BCBG blazer with tags still on they sold with a discount that I wasn't informed off and they tell me after I'm getting even less back for it. This is an absolute scam and I regret doing it with every bone in my body. I would have rather given it away for free than give any profit to this horrible company. I will be reclaiming all of my close and end up losing money in the process but I will not give them my clothes for free. They say they donate clothes that are not sold in their stipulated time period but I highly doubt it. Stay far away!!

Very disgusted regarding payment for clothes sold. Maybe great for shoppers wanted great stuff for next to nothing, but the ones sending in the items makes peanuts. I would have done better at a yard sale.

I purchased a great pair of black shoes from here that are still in great shape. Unfortunately they lied about the jeans. I bought a pair of jeans and the waist and hip size was definitely smaller than advertised. They fit, but too tightly, and I wonder now if they even bother to correctly get the measurements for their advertised clothing. Not happy.

I've left another review. Before ......thread up is like that old boyfriend where your curious but deep down you don't want herpes... don't do it people....I'm still mad about there emails telling me to not bother them and selling a $2200 Valentino dress to a youtuber and not buying it from me. These people have A. No fashion sense and B. A smart little operation going. Don't believe any good reviews swear on my favorite dog....do but don't sell list your stuff on eBay for 0$....call me I will list and sell your stuff true story...NO one wants herpes or crabs of the bad kind.

this company is unorganized and incompetent. Whoever runs this company shouldn't be running a company unless its goal is to rip off people. I don't even want to give it any stars. I really hate myself for trusting this company. no more and if you are thing of buying or selling to this company, do some research. They do bad business. Also they only reply to good comments and don't have the balls to reply to the bad ones. Research people this company is bad business.

My first time trying to purchase something off Threadup with most likely be my last. I found a purse that I wanted. Apparently someone has it in their cart. It expires in 6 hours. I click notify me (Im the only one at this point who liked it too) I wait, go back in 4 hours and its not up to 16 hours in a purse. No notification. So I wait again. Get an email. The second I got it, I went and its in someones cart. For 17 hours.. this has been going on for 3 days. Seriously? I dont want to stick it in my cart, I want to BUY IT! This is so ridiculous! Stupid app and asinine rules...

After finally getting someone to answer me email. I am more angry. I sent them 2 large bags of nice designer shoes ,purses, and clothes. I was told they received my items. Now they tell , me they lost one of the packages and gave me a 35.00 credit.i was robbed. There were new designer items in those bags. I am thinking when they saw what was there they kept them for themselves. I feel like I was robed. They should be ashamed to be doing this to people.

My review is twofold. As for selling to ThreadUp - DON'T DO IT! I sold a boxful of Torrid and Lane Bryant tops, jeans, boots to them, approximately 20 pieces, and received $8.36. Pitiful and disgusting. As for buying, if you stick to the clearance items, you can get some really great deals. I recently spent my $8.36 credit and got a pair of Lane Bryant capris, Lane Bryant dress pant and Torrid dress pant and spent an additional $31.01, including shipping.

Its a risk you take. 3 of 6 items in my recent order said 'you might think this new' hahaha! Obviosly HOLES, BROKEN BUCKLE, MOTH THINNING SPOTS...not ordering again. Complicated return, some like my MOTH eaten not eligible for return. EBay has more consumer protection against lying sellers!

I bought to different items. They said they were on there way. NOt sure who's fault it is but my address to deliver was wrong. I have been waiting for some response from them sense each package has been returned. My address in my account is correct. There is nothing on their web page as how to contacted them.

I had the opportunity to shop with this site last year, I've gotten some very nice pieces for my closet. I have had an issue with filtering. I purchased three pieces not appropriately assigned to the right category. Two I was able to gift to a younger person.The third piece I still have because I know no one that tall and heavy.. More recently, I've been unable to re-establish my account and support has been able to resolve the issue. I don't want to have to signup with a new email.

This has become one of my favorite go to places to shop. Very nice items with very nice prices. I have bought everything from jewelry and shoes to purses and clothes. The only thing I have noticed is that often times, the prices they charge for, lets say a Coach bag or Kenneth Cole shoe, I can get them for practically for the same price new, when these companies send me their sales ads.

We browsed the web and found that this business has an active Facebook page. We have found that this business does not have SSL (secure sockets layer), which means that you should think twice before trusting this business with your data, such as personal information or credit card details, because your information will not be digitally connected to a cryptographic key and secure connection cannot be established. We found that the domain for this business is older than two years which could be an indication that this is a trustworthy business with an established customer base and experience in their field.
