For $110/year, you can post to find pet sitters as often as you need them. I've only used the service twice, but both my sitters have been fantastic. Both times I listed, I had offers very quickly from folks who wanted to come to Santa Fe, NM. The only reason I didn't leave it 5 stars was I found the system a bit difficult to use and no one ever answered the phone number they had when I tried to get questions answered. But, I did eventually figure how to operate their system. They have an option for you to do both, be a pet sitter and recipient of the services for only $30 more.

We were directed to this website by word of mouth. I can't believe what a positive experience we had from the first step to meeting our sitter and coming home from our vacation. We've paid pet sitters in the past, but to my mind, this experience was infinitely better. The fact that you can interview possible sitters and find the best fit for your situation is a real plus. I can see why people apply to be BOTH house and pet sitters and pet sit for others. This is a wonderful site to explore.

We started using TrustedHouseSitters about 4 years ago and since then have had about 10 or more housesitters in to look after our pets. Every one of them has been superb. Some of them have become long lasting friends and some have come back for repeat house sits. The dogs are much happier staying home than going to kennels, and we are happier having someone look after the house while we are away as well. I highly recommend this company.

An amazing organization. They not only attract pet owners, but also the pet care-givers to the folds. They employ a screening process to elicit the character and qualities of the parties. The result is a match of like-minded for the care of the pets. There is no compensation for the duty; instead, the exchange is the use of a comfortable home, the owner the confidence of trusted care while away.

We had very positive and wonderful interactions with our sitter! Hopefully we will be as lucky to find other sitters, if our lady cannot accommodate us to watch over our pets. I have read some of the reviews, and yes it is quite scary if you have made plans and a "no show" happens. We would certainly be mortified! There should be an area that you could go to on the site and let others know of this person who does a "no show". I am sorry to those of you who have had that bad experience.

We have just completed our fifth sit through TrustedHousesitters. We joined as we saw this as a great way to travel and meet some new animal friends. We like that we only apply for sits we believe match our abilities and interests. We recently returned from a 3 week sit in Ireland. We knew we loved Ireland, but we didn't know how much we would falll in love with the border collie we cared for. It was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend TrustedHousesitters.

I believe there is a certain magic about TH that allows for human connection through a common love of animals. Trusted house sitters makes a difference in people's lives by reducing the stress brought on by pet owners having to leave their furry babies. This is such a greaaaaat service! It's a win win for everyone. I've had great luck with sitters I've used. The only reason I didn't leave 5 stars is because their website and mobile app are a little flaky and confusing to navigate. Hope they'll put more worm into improving the user experience there.

We had a great time over the 5 months we sat Bosco in SE Kelowna. The loghouse area is beautiful, close to ski hills (45min) and trails and the mall/downtown (10min), which inspired us to move to Kelowna! Bosco was a very low maintenance dog to care for. Easy food routine, doesn't need very long walks and likes to be outside guarding the house. We had so much fun playing with him in the snow/fetch everyday in the big backyard. We would definitely recommend sitting Bosco!

We had a german girl who is a digital nomad house sit in Astorville Ontario Canada for 5 weeks. She would not communicate with us once we were away would not answer e mails or phone on whats app. She was completely unreliable our pellet stove in livingroom stopped working and VD would not tell us if it had been repaired. We have used trusted house sitters in the past and had much better housesitters. We did not renew our application

Penny is a lovely cat, nice and cuddly likes lots of attention which I was delighted to provide. Her mom Lindsay and her partner are kind and helpful. Location is convenient, just 15 minutes walk from a large shopping centre or you can take a bus just outside the door that will take you there or in to Central Perth. really enjoyed the sit could have stayed for at least a month!!

The idea is not common in the American online community, but I love the idea of an exchange based on trusted (a word that is in their name). Because it costs money to join and is based mostly on trust and personal contact, the site seems to self-select for people who believe in their word. Of course there will be exceptions, but our experience has been good. Also they do not try to police off-site contact, like Airbnb and other sites that make money by serving as intermediaries.

Don't know how we missed hearing about Trusted Housesitters......but once we did, we joined.....and haven't looked back! So many opportunities to travel, meet great pets and their caring owners..... The trusted house and dog sitters (a couple) that took care of my house and my old chocolate lab, Luna, went beyond what I could have hoped for. They sent pictures regularly, so I could see that Luna was enjoying her favorite walking spots, and when I returned the house was sparkling clean! Their reviews had indicated that they were an excellent choice, but they were better than I ever imagined. Such a relief to know my dog and home were in good hands!

I have used trustedhousesitters numerous times over the last few years with 100% satisfaction. When I first heard about the site, I thought that it was too good to be true, but it is not! We have met some lovely people and become friends with some - all trustworthy and reliable. People tend to look after a home as if it were their own. I firmly believe that anyone who misuses the site would be banned in a hurry. Highly recommended!

I housesit full time and love every minute of it. I live in one of the most expensive cities in the world (Vancouver) and trusted housesitters has allowed me to travel within and outside my hometown and live for free. As a bonus, I get to care for a meet all the lovely pets that make great company. It's perfect if you work remotely and love the company of animals. I recommend it to everyone I speak to!

We love the site and have had many positive, if not perfect (!), experiences so far as house sitters. The only feedback I would have at this point (members for over 4 years and 7 sits completed) is for home owners to be required to respond to an application within 2 or 3 days with SOME kind of personalized reply (not a copy and pasted template). The reason is because when applying for a house sit the house sitters are working with scheduling: arranging multiple locations/times/transportation/flights etc so it would very helpful to know one way or the other if you are considered a or not for that house sit. Often an application can go unanswered at ALL and the applicant is left waiting and wondering. Perhaps some kind of point system or requirement or rating for the home owners in terms of response times could be added to their profile/listing ("this home owner usually replies within 1 hr, 1 week, 2 weeks or more etc)?

In the year since I joined, I've used this service 3 times with great success. Two of my experiences were especially delightful, but all my sitters gave me confidence that my animals (1 dog, 2 cats) wouldn't be lonely and my house would be well looked after. As with any online service, it's important to read reviews, meet the sitter beforehand if you can (or at least talk to them), and then trust your instincts.

My husband and I joined Trusted House Sitters 6 months ago. We were interested in settling in the Seattle area but wanted to explore different locations.
