I did the 9 in 6 challenge in Southbank which is now shut.
The genius of this scam is the great environment they create during the process hence the great reviews for those in the midst of it.
The scam is that they guarantee you to lose the 9kilos if you follow the program exactly and they’ll give you your money back. But they keep your money if their guarantee fails? I don’t see the part where they guarantee anything.
But wait, it gets better. If you fail they keep your money, if you succeed they also keep your money as they pressure you to put the money back into a gym they’re going to shut down or just not give it back with either excuses or just plain avoidance by the end.

The worst is watching my friend get cancer at the beginning of the challenge & them refusing to refund the money when she couldn’t participate. Instead they offered the money to be transferred into a gym membership!

Need I say more?

Keep your hard earned money. These people don’t deserve it.

I had been suffering from a few injuries which made me stack on a lot of weight...
I was really concerned with my arm because i had already ruptured my bicep tendon...
The team at UY Tulla were amazing and very supportive huge shout out to Bec, Sarah and Alan who where there to help me drop a massive 11kgs in 6 weeks....
After this Georgia and Trent convinced me to take on the challenge of Muscle Camp which took my fitness and strength to what it used to be when i was in my early 20’s...
2 years later I’m still in shape and still training at Tella... Tessa and all the friends i have made make this place a second home...
I highly recommend coming down and having a chat with the UY Team....

Before you join Ultimate You, Please read all other reviews, personally, I've done the 9 in 6, pass the challenge, then done muscle camp. The program is ok, the diet plan is not that great. The few things that I would comment on about Mount Waverley Ultimate You is that the facility is not that great for the price that you paid, bicycles peddles is falling apart, tighten bike seat as hard as I can go to use it, it still moves, gym equipments feels like home gym equipment, weight is not the same size in diameter, therefore trying to get the right form is hard due to 10kg weight is much smaller in diameter then 15kg weight, not enough equipment when there is 4 or more people trying to do weight, you have to book to use the sorna, sorna only fit 2 people, ( other gym, you do not need to book, and the sorna fit at least 8 people) female shower door is chock open with a chair because there is no ventilation, there is only 1 male shower, ( other gym multiple shower cubicle) tap in male toilet leaks, went and told the owner the tap is leaking, instead of fixing it, the cold water tap is now turned off, so there is only hot water. Shelving in male toilet got some kind of bird dropping on it, not professional at all. Wouldn't recommend Mount Waverley Ultimate You, owner dont seem to care to much when issues is raised.

Lose 9 kilos in 6 weeks for free looks like a scam. I lost around 12 kilos and when I asked for a refund of my deposit, they said that I have two Facebook accounts and must use the other account. It's my personal choice on which account to use for check-in. They didn't mention about the minimum number of friends required in the Facebook account. All that I was told is that you have to have a Facebook account. They are saying that my refund is rejected.


The trainer was really good. He was more supportive and encouraging. He helped me a lot.

I have been part of Ultimate You Mount Waverley for 12 Months
Started last November, initially lost 8.5k in 4 weeks, this has been one of the best experiences of my life! Have since done Aftermath, And Muscle Camp phase 1 and 2, I am sixty and in the best shape of my life, even have abs, cant thank staff and trainers enough for their support. If you want to lose weight and get fit this is a great place to join, also if you lose the required weight you get your money refunded. What have you got to lose, except weight and an unhealthy lifestyle, give it a go!

I joined the 5 in 4 week challenge and lost 6kg. The classes were challenging and it was great to do it together with a group of people with the same goals.

This is promoted as a “free 6 week program” and throughout the info session a sense of urgency was created, forms rushed into our hands and we were reminded to “just follow the damn plan and you’ll have success and get your money back” but this is not the case.
After following the plan to the letter I lost 6.5kg in 6 weeks and didn’t get my refund. I tried to initiate a mid-way catch up that after a week of chasing, consisted of “If you’ve plateaued and have lost motivation, then get motivated!” Simple apparently...
Anyway, safe to say I wasn’t thrilled with my results and felt a bit embarrassed about falling for their marketing but I can say the sense of community amongst most trainers and other contestants was great, the training was enjoyable and challenging most of the time and the food plan initiated some good habits.
All in all, not a horrible experience but the one piece of advice I’d give is that If you don’t have the money to spare, don’t do it as there is a reasonable chance you won’t get it back! But If you’re looking for a way to get back into exercise and eating well then this maybe a good option.

I'll admit I was sceptical and hunted for the catch - refreshingly it was all very clear & there isn't one! I'd tried a few similar "challenges" this one was by far the simplest and most succesful. I signed up at Mount Waverley & have attended classes at 3 centres so far - all been down to earth & honest, no gimmicks, no pretensions, no judgement, no lululemon, - but lots of camaraderie, group support & laughs. It's not easy, if you give 100% you get the results & more. The change in mindset & focus is even more rewarding than dropping dress sizes.

I signed up to complete the 9 in 6 program 18 months ago at Ultimate You Geelong.
They provided a set meal plan based on my initial weight that was easy to follow.
The classes are perfect for all levels of fitness.
Yeah it's hard, yeah it's time consuming but SO WORTH IT. I lost 10.65kg!
The trainers will support you every step of the way to achieve your goals!
They have a full information session explaining the program at the beginning.
They set out the requirements to be eligible for the return of money and in return you essentially get almost personal training and a diet plan.
It really changed my life!

I've been with UY now for 24 months, previously, due to a back injury I had joined other gyms and was very careful how I approached workouts and weight training, I really didn't get anywhere, during this 24 months I have successfully lost over 11-kilos during the 9 in 6 phase, as well as completed a muscle camp phase, this is due to the trainers, coaches, and other gym members assisting and coaching me through to not just protect my back but strengthen the muscle around the injury. I am 50 this year and have been the fittest I have ever been thanks to UY

I have previously done two rounds with Ultimate You and was so happy with the results that I signed up to be an ongoing member. I finished up with them when the location was no longer local for me. A couple of years later and I was excited to be starting up with them again and I signed up for a round that was due to start 20/3. However with the Covid situation, that round didn't go ahead. And yet, I didn't receive anything from Ultimate You to say it was postponed or cancelled. Nothing to try and replace the in-gym experience. In fact, I never even got details for the kick off meeting (which was due to happen just before the government confirmed gym closures). No nutritional plans, nothing! They don't answer their phone, emails, online enquiries or social media messages. After giving them plenty of chances and talking to Consumer Affairs to confirm my rights, I'm left with no option but to take them to VCAT. It's unscrupulous to keep customers money when you haven't provided that service. It's even worse to ignore them. Super disappointing.

I began at UY North Geelong in May 2018, have completed two 9in6 challenges and have been a member ever since. Total weight loss to date 17.75 kilos. Love the culture and the people within the four walls of this gym. No macho men, no barbie dolls, just real people achieving real results. Thanks to all the Crew at UY for helping me to make a better version of myself. Give it a try, what else have you got to lose aside all the extra kilos ??

I discovered Ultimate You North Geelong in October, I had seen friends have great success on their programs and decided it was time for me to invest in myself. I had gained a lot of weight and lost focus and confidence. I was nervous walking in the first time but was met by the most welcoming and supportive team. The trainers were kind, the franchisee the warmest, most kind hearted lady and the other members were all so full of passion and positivity. From day 1 I knew I had found my tribe. I have felt so supported on my journey so far. The guidance to set and achieve my personal goals has been perfect. I have learnt so much already and am so grateful that I took the first step. I would highly recommend anyone who is ready for a change to get involved. It's not just weight loss and nutrition. It's their holistic approach and dedication to helping people reach their full potential that I love. I feel much more confident in myself, I feel better equipped to make positive decisions in my life. Thanks to everyone that has been a part of my journey so far!!

As stated by many here, I completed a successful challenge and met all their terms and conditions, yet 7 months later no refund. I've had to repeatedly email them which then culminated in them giving me a call apologizing for the delay in providing the refund but..... they would be happy to convert the money into a years membership. When I declined they said that the refund would be in my account within 4 working days. 3 weeks later and no refund.
Beyond a joke, went to consumer affairs, sent them a letter and still no response. Next step VCAT!!

I joined the 9in6, did the work and lost the weight. No thanks to this gym, never spoke to me once. Didn’t clarify the rules when I asked (after class they’d say).

Been five months and haven’t given me my money back. I email once a month and they tell it’s being processed. End with “love and high fives” which I don’t want, I’d much prefer my money back.

Im trying to get my money back its being 5 months. Can someone take responsibility and get back to me. I'll keep pursuing this until it is returned as my mother has inoperable cancer and I need it to help with expenses.

This is my first week and absolutely loving it. Already seeing a difference in my lower stomach and lost all my inflammation. I Highly recommend and cant live without it.

I wish I could give this zero stars. I completed the 5in4 successfully losing 6.35kg's, I didn't enjoy the environment and found the trainers arrogant and unprofessional, but persevered as I really needed the money back. When I finished the challenge successfully they made me come in again on another day to complete an exit form, which I did. They then said I would get the money back within 30 days, it's been 3 months and 10 ignored emails since then. They never had any intention of giving the money back. An awful experience and a complete scam.

I joined UY Bowen hills in Brisbane city hoping to loose some weight for summer. 9/6 sounded perfect to me as I needed to be motivated! It certainly did that!
By week 5 of my challenge even though the pounds were not falling off I had completely forgotten about the scales! For the first time in as long as I can remember I was no longer worried about the numbers and focused on my training!
Coming from a history of eating disorders Aditi the manager and Mel and Declan the trainers, took tome to know me and care about me, for the first time in my life I felt a healthy relationship with the gym and people that cared about me and my wellbeing! They never shut me out or feared my history with food and fitness, instead they guided me into a healthy mind frame.
When I started the challenge I had no intention of signing up as the gym isnt close to my house but by week 5 I was signed up for 12 months and now Im my aftermath!
I cant praise enough about the family vibe and love and support that comes from this place!
I walked in wanting to loose weight and ended up with a lifestyle change I didnt even know was possible!
Since compleating I lost 5kg but gained muscle definition, confidence and a family who support me! I even was able to quit smoking after 15 years!!!
If there was 10 stars I would give it!

It’s been 2months + since I completed the 9in6 challenge which I achieved the goal and did everything else that one is required to do. Signed the form for my refund and upto today I haven’t been refunded. Still chasing up - I don’t know it when?? A very disappointed client.
Put your money elsewhere where it’s worth.
