US Message Board

This site is like many "political discussion" forums. They have "rules" but do not enforce them at all against those who have similar and obvious hate-filled and bigoted views. If you enjoy hateful rhetoric this is the site for you. Openly bigoted, misogynistic, racist remarks fly constantly. Attacks on children and victims of crime, as well as personal attacks, occur at all times with zero moderation, as the moderators themselves are responsible for many of these atrocious remarks/comments.

I found USMB to be the best place I have found for Constitutional discussions and arguments. The Conservatives there are better at the political arguments; the Liberals are better in the religious discussions on secular reasoning. There are sections just for slamming and taunting, so there is no need to get banned if people stay in the right sections. I think the Mods do a great job, but maybe it's because I don't cause problems for them or other members.

These Ex-USMB Whingers are just that,whingers..if the site is too hard to take then get out of it......but your experience is not mine. If you find piquant situations difficult to handle then you have become a possee of whinging BORES. I've been a member of USMB for 8 years. I'm not a charter member, but I do see things. I think there are some guidelines for message boards and forums on the internet, and moderators do not have a choice but to stop some issues such as racism and stalking, so it is not much of a board that welcomes either. There are laws about the internet use against threatening other posters, which is the #1 reason for people being banned. I saw a banned notice on one member and sourced out his last 10 posts. Holy cow, the poster threatened the life of another poster 4 times before he was even caught breaking that rule--no life-threatening of other posters. I find it a well-run board. And it's a good place to learn the do's and don't's of political discussion if one doesn't know them. Oh, and I'm sorry to see people get banned, and am happy to see them come back if they can let stuff go.

I love the board, I can say just about anything I want. They allow users to use just about any words they like except for a few of the worst ones, but you can still get your point across without them. A lot of leftist moonbats don't like it because their arguments are usually completely debunked, their lies are exposed, and their sycophantic zealotry of all things anti-American are ridiculed mercilessly. They can't get away with trolling the forum with cut/pasted media matters agitprop like they do on every other forum. It's nothing like the Fox News Comment section where they flood the board with asinine drivel all day, on USMB they are the ones being ridiculed by the majority of people, even those with no real loyalty to any political perspective.

Bad site. I was banned for answering a bullying question by some right-winger who is crazy over guns and what she calls "abortion on demand." Now I'm banned until March 3 for warning another poster that this same woman is abusive. I don't post with profanity, I don't call anyone names, and I don't make sexual remarks. Apparently, this is a site for right-wing hystericals who can't stand any opposition to their "wise thoughts."

WestWall leads the pack- what a prick. Beware not to make this moron mad ! A bunch of old Right Wing geezers refuse to be proven wrong. FACTS be damned. Delete your posts if they don't like it or bury them in another forum. Democrats and Independents post at your own risk.

I used to love USMB because it was a great place to meet unsatisfied married women and kill time btwn cab fares. But then I met Sttab on a men seeking men Craigslist ad and now my life is so exciting I don't messageboard anymore.

I only gave it a 2 because it has a wide variety of serious and just fun threads. This board seems to attract the worst of the worst. Hackers, unhappy lonely delusional people sums the regulars here. All boards have issues, but my advice,,,,dont hang out with these losers.

USMB is by far the most broadly tolerant of all the politically oriented message boards I've ever found. While extremely offensive nonsense is not tolerated the moderators on USMB permit the free exercise of opinions and they never impose their authority on participants who maintain reasonable positions. The board is widely versatile and is very well maintained. The negative reviews I've been reading are assuredly written by left-wingers who cannot tolerate the level of freedom of expression permitted by USMB Administrators.

Data mining. Personal information used by two staff members to harass, discredit and expose to possibility identity theft and unauthorized use of financial information as I paid for membership(s). Complained to owners, they have done nothing, used attorney complaint to Attorney General, Federal Trade Commission ongoing investigation. Terrible place. Once the owners take responsibility and properly train and supervise their staff I may change my review.

If you see a bunch of negative reviews for a message board and 1/2 the reviews are whining about the board and their admin being "right wing" and the OTHER 1/2 are whining about the board and their admin being "left wing" ------------------ That ought to suggest that USMB is doing free speech and moderation and administration correctly.. And that's the way it is. There are different forums with different levels of moderation. There are forums with virtually no moderation that are "member only". Your content there is never subject to political bias. You just have to contribute to the discussions. And THAT is probably what all this surprising amount of whining is all about. Don't join if you just want to shout slogans and shut down topics. OR -- if you can't carry on a conversion with "normal" people because you have the focus of a squirrel.

USMB is a great site, one of the very best on the Board. However, westwall, egged on by flacaltenn, have mental issues when being corrected on certain of their posts, and apparently they have slid around the other mods. They will be reined in, again. The issue is ongoing, and until and if the Board Members hammer down on them, their sniping will continue.

I've been a member of many political forums so I can actually review it in comparison to others. I've seen other sites ban people (myself included) for defending themselves against attacks. At USMB, if you're attacked, fight back. It's for adults, you're expected to be an adult. The site allows you to say what you want. My only issue is that there are members who just post in the "current events" section anything they want, even something that's just an opinion without substance (think "Donald Trump is racist!) without anything of substance to back it up, and dumps it in the current events section because it's the most active section. It makes for a forum that's cluttered with a lot of junk threads, but its still good. I've been banned from numerous forums for speaking my mind, I've been on USMB for years and never even been warned. It's not perfect, but it's for adults and it's good. For the liberals complaining they get banned, I've never personally seen a liberal even get banned even when they personally attack conservatives with every post. So you must have REALLY done something wrong to get banned there. Join up and start posting, it's an active forum with good members. A few bad apples and a few idiots, but every forum has those. I've never had a run in with moderators and I've gone on the attack sometimes when people have made jabs at me.

I'm a member of multiple discussion/politics forums including World Discussion Forum and Historum.com (both of which are excellent), and I've been ousted from one Christian Politics forum and one World Politics Forum, but as of yet have not been banned from US Message Board (USMB) as 'Abishai100' (though I have received a few warnings --- but hey who hasn't on the anarchistic World Wide Web?). USMB offers surprisingly well-educated moderators, some smart/savvy regular members/bloggers, and some very intelligent (and beautiful!) American women! It really has something...for everyone(!). I'd recommend it to anyone looking for multi-faceted pedestrian/professional perspectives on all kinds of modern issues relevant to American society and global culture (commerce, celebrity, culinary arts, whatever). The only drawback is that the opinions are strong, so be prepared to be shunned and/or criticized shrewdly about the intentions/intelligibility of your comments. And I disagree there are many biased bloggers on USMB. I've been blogging now for over 15 years (retiring soon!), and USMB was by far one of my favorite memories (I keep a memento toy-briefcase in honor of it), which is why you might even discover that a Hollywood actress such as Charlize Theron --- star of "Atomic Blonde" and "Mad Max: Fury Road" --- is on it (using an alias of course --- are you cunning enough to decode?). USMB deserves some kudos/honors for those responsible for organizing/coordinating/choreographing it. There's even fun sections (e.g., Flame Zone) for those looking to blither and offer gibberish about why Trump is not Jesus. Cool stuff. A+

I like the format, easy to c&p on. Good graphics. But the board bites the big one. Reminds me of the early AOL boards. Intelligence free zone with a huge contingent of the bat$#*! crazy, vile and frankly, ABUSIVE. The perfect message board in the TRUMP era. I've been parked here for a couple of weeks, I thought I'd just hit a 'cantankerous' period. I think it is a permanent state of being. (Plus, I think there might be Russian trolls among us)

Now tell me.. Would you invest time with ANY of them attempts to discuss topics in any of our 40+ forums? LOL... Forget the Reviews. Come visit us and see why US Message is different from other Message Boards. WE CARE about topical discussion. Unlike all the "former members" who find this page on the Web to vent..

I've been on many sites, most are so heavily restricted they ban you for standing up for yourself. Here you get 99% of the First Amendment at all times, minor rules like no family, no spam, no threats to members. best site ever, been there for years and will never leave, all these 1 stars are from lightweights that can't stand to hear an opinion not theirs.

I have been a member for a while and have had to take sabbaticals from USMB a couple of times. But the place is moderated fairly well and there is far more diversity of views on it than any place else I have seen. It is interesting and actually a place you can learn to respect new perspectives on old issues. Most of these reviews are either 1 star or 5 star, so you are not seeing a solid range of reflective thought in this review. But your mileage may vary.

I post on this site under the name The Mad Cabbie and I just have to say, GIVE THIS PLACE A CHANCE! All opinions are allowed, this is not some liberal PC "gay pride march," neither is it a den of ham-fist'd NeoCons, ganging up on a handful of whiny pajama boys. I'm sure some will disagree, but there are disgruntled, former members from any website with an ax to grind.
