I've always said you have to pay to find a genuine connection with someone else who is putting in an equivalent effort. This goes towards any dating site or app. Yourtravelmates simply is just one of the better apps out there.

Yourtravelmates seems like a good idea, if you are single, young and want to see the world at someone else's expense and you only have to keep them company, why not. People have hooked up for reasons worse. A chance to see the world and live it up a bit seems not too bad.

Scam 100%... fake profiles! These ppl are paid to talk to you. When you go to settings to delete your acct and cancel, it takes you through this whole process to explain why you are canceling and then signs you out. But if you refresh page, YOU'RE RIGHT BACK IN! I had to move all of my money to my other bank just to kerp from being charged again while I try to get someone on the phone to cancel this crap. .... Regarding the response from a TM rep... my acct was finally closed. I was never charged again after the initial membership billing. Regarding profiles available in chat... These guys are a joke. Their sole purpose is to get you to spend as many credits as possible to force you to pay for continued use of the site. The "stickers" system is ridiculous and unnecessary. I had a guy with a free acct sent me some stupid fox sticker that be claimed was the wrong color and then try to convince me to buy one to send to him to see if the color changed knowing I would have to pay money to do so. It was idiotic and I told him so. I had ppl sending me redundant email messages trying to make me pay credits to open them in the midst of a chat about the same thing they sent in the email. I had a guy that I discussed the free user topic with in chat and he denied knowledge of free accts and fake profiles, but he himself had an acct labled as a free user brought over from an affiliated server!!! It was his job! The whole thing is a scam. You also can't remove your photos. While creating my profile I accidentally clicked on the wrong photo from my camera roll and it was permanently stuck there. I have zero faith in this system which is why I canceled. Just read some of the other awful reviews on this site. It's the same story told a hundred ways. They are littered among several diff review platforms. Travelmates is a joke.

People are fake profiles and as well as the sign up it took 2 unauthoirsed "automatic payments" of $23.99 each on the first day. I called them and they said just lied and said they didn't do it and it was authorised. Then they said had used some of the credits so I could only get a partial refund. I reported them to Paypal.

There are lots of beautiful people here, chatting with them is really easy and interesting, but what bothers me is that they know little about me when start conversation. and profile doesnt let much info to be filled in, so why not allow a kind of a video presentation of selves? you just attach video and other people watch it.
