greatnonprofits.org was recommended by a magazine if you want to check out a charity before you donate to them. I was pretty underwhelmed by this site. Once you put in the name of your charity/non-profit there is some basic info provided. The majority of the infor is comments via bulletin board posts made by anyone. You are asked to say if you are a volunteer, board member, chair person, etc. Well sorry, I can say anything I want about a charity but that doesn't make it true. I recommend givewell.org instead as it provides facts and sources for its info.

As a birthday gift for a friend, I made a "donation" through the site and purchased a gift card to be sent to my friend. The card was never received so I sent an email to changingthepresent.org. The email is only actually a comment form, there is no actual contact info listed. No response from them. I sent a total of 6 emails. No response. I called the number listed on my credit card, it's disconnected. I had to call my bank and have the charge removed and block any future charges. I'm not sure what's going on with changing the present...I always heard good reviews before. But now I very much question if they're legit. Beware.

My fiance and I wanted our guests to donate to charities instead of giving us wedding presents. Changingthepresent.org popped up at the top of internet searches for a clearinghouse where we could donate to different charities. It all seemed legitimate but we should have dug deeper - we were just happy with the website layout and how appealing it seemed: our guests could choose to donate to "buy a goat" for Heifer International, etc. Unfortunately, a guest reported back to us that although her $50 donation had been deducted from her credit card, the charity she donated to had received only $5. Two other donations she'd made went completely missing. I immediately advised our guests to contact their credit cards to recall their donations. I tried to contact the website but the phone number listed - 212.972.2368 - was disconnected, and no one has responded to several emails sent by me and my donors. If the organization is no longer in service, the site should be removed. Instead, the site is still up and giving visitors the impression that we can donate to charities through them. My experience with the website has show that this is not the case.

I tried to donate money but the Crowdfunder web page was dead. It was unable to register the amount I wanted to donate, and the "Process payment securely" button was completely unresponsive. I tried every which way, but it simply doesn't;t work at all. What's the point of a platform like this that doesn't allow people to donate? And how many of the causes using Crowdfunder realise they are losing donations because of Crowdfunder's inadequate systems?

It took over a month to recive my order of jewelry. Then when I finally got it .it was not like it was advertised. It stated that the rings were sterling silver and turquoise. What I got was plastic rings with a little bit of glitter on them .not impressed at all.i bought those for a birthday present and I wldnt give them to any adult or any child over the age of 10 yrs.how cld you be doing such a good cause and lie about what you are selling.very dis appointed. I will let the public know about this.it is a scam. To sell such jewelry that should only be in bubble gum machines.what else do you lie to the public about?. Helene Todd.

I was told outright that the dogs I viewed online was not suitable for me. The only dogs I was allowed to view was behind glass, no real interaction, no offer was made for me to meet any of them or the ones hidden from sight. They have an impossibly idealistic idea of what is required to adopt one of their dogs. In the time I was there they rejected 3 out of 4 applications, myself included. They were very nice about it and said they would get in touch when they had a suitable dog for me. Months on and no phone call, apparently they have no dogs at all that need a safe, warm and loving home. They make adopting impossible. So they say they want to re-home dogs but has anyone ever passed their tick list. The TV ad is not realistic in any way. So, where do they get the money to have dogs on hold in their care, some of them for years????

Well, what went right.? Amused at your invitation to Dogs Trust to give a viewpoint, to answer it's critics. The charity always has to control the agenda. If this is not possible it says nothing silence being the default position. If you explain you lose. Dogs Trust never loses.

I'm very happy with all of the products I've received from Eco Patch, and have tried the dental tabs and interdental brushes so far. The dental tablets are very refreshing, and I'm getting used to chewing them to create a paste. I'm wondering if I should create a batch of paste with a pestle and mortar to create a more even distribution. The interdental brushes are good for gently clearing food between my back teeth. I'll look at purchasing the dental floss for front teeth that are closer together.

So I ordered my chicken coop over the phone and was given a delivery date. The lady I spoke to was very helpful, friendly and efficient. I contacted Cherry Acres a couple of days prior to delivery and we arranged an exact time for delivery. My coop was delivered on the exact delivery date and the exact time agreed. Very impressed! The coop, itself is even better than I expected! I have bought many chicken houses in the past, and I have to say this is the best! The craftsmanship that has gone into making it and the details are fantastic. It is extremely solid, well made and also looks really nice. The service was brilliant from start to finish, the website was easy to find, when we made the call the person who answered was so informative of all my questions and answered everyone with so much detail. She offered advice on what would be suitable for goats and if I was to call up we could get a 5% discount. I then phoned up to ask when it was being delivered she told me the date and was flexible by saying that if there were any cancellations then they would let us know and they’d be out as soon as possible. On the day it arrived I was kept updated throughout the day and even was told that it was going to be an hour late. When it arrived the people that came and built it were friendly, customer first service, they showed enthusiasm when building it and answered any questions we had on tools, how it was made. At the end one said that they’d put it on there Facebook page and tag the college in it to get our name out there. All in all it was a 5 star service and will definitely recommend to any friends that want any field shelters.

I saw them at an event this past weekend in Buffalo, New York. I loved their earthy vibe. Their tees were super cute and made from hemp, organic cotton , and eco friendly fabrics that were manufactured in the states. They also had some work out clothes and some other things. I bought a free spirit tee and a pair of high-waisted leggings after I saw them on the owner. I actually was able to try them on there too (they had little dressing room in the back with a mirror.) The owner packaged my items up in kraft, recycled paper and hemp twine. I also was able to plant two trees with both of my purchases and received a discount code to use "ecofriend" for my next purchase.

I learned about eco tee co through Instagram . I decided to purchase a couple items . The tshirt I purchased was silky soft , lightweight , used vegetable dye . It was made from post consumer water bottles and organic cotton . The other item I purchased was a wrap scarf also made from the same material . I was able to wear it as a top too. I’m really pleased with the quality and looking forward to their next drop .

St Andrews First Aid was brilliant, I did a First Aid at Work course 1 day a week over 3 weeks. Two of the times I had Steve who was very funny and very informative when lecturing the course and the other day we had Chris who was very good at teaching too, we had been informed he had a heart attack, before he was teaching us, by him and that his lesson with us was the first one since it. He did very well despite this and I hope he is doing well. The course was made enjoyable and everyone there was introduced to one another early which made everyone feel comfortable when answering questions and doing group tasks or demonstrations. We all got on well and had a good laugh whilst also learning life saving information and practical tasks. I would recommend St Andrews First Aid to my colleagues and will definitely look to go back there for further training. Thanks Again!

I joined Frontier as a project development intern for six months. Frontier gave me the opportunity to learn more about the world of conservation and it is a great first step to get if anyone wants to dedicate themselves in conservation. It's been an amazing experience which sadly ends soon. I am grateful for the staff members who have been so friendly and really helpful. I got so much knowledge aboout wildlife and conservation. Frontier is the main reason that made be realize that this the career I would like to follow and I am so proud of being a member of this team. Furthermore, as an intern coming from abroad, I developed my presentation skills and gained confidence as I was representing Frontier in several careers fairs and talks. I joined one of Frontier’s project as an Assistant Research Officer and I wouldn’t be more happy with my choice. My experience is sadly mostly at the end, but I feel like I have had such an amazing time here that I would go back to the start if I could. First of all, I have fairly improved my knowledge about conservation and about how to carry on research in this field, learning how to use new softwares and data collection methods. However, this is just a part of what this project actually gave me: here I made friends for life, found support and motivation in a great group of coworkers, and I experienced a huge personal growth in a challenging environment. I am really grateful for this opportunity and I encourage anyone with a strong passion for conservation to apply.

I am a treasurer for a non-profit. Back in December, 2016, we received a donation from JustGive, and I deposited it. The check bounced, and our bank charged us a $12.00 fee. In January, 2017, we received a replacement check with a note that JustGive would reimburse us for any bank charges. I sent them an email, and a scan of the bank statement showing the charge. Back and forth emails led me to believe that JustGive would reimburse our $12.00. It is now almost July, 2017, and my last two emails have had no response from JustGive. I am putting a printout of the scan and the email stream into the mail. Maybe this will get our money back. I don't know. I'm just frustated that I'm being ignored, and there is no way to talk to anyone directly at JustGive.

$635 dollars was donated to my charity and I still have not received any of that money from Just Give. There is no telephone customer support and no one every answers emails. I feel this donor platform is truly a scam.
