I put in an order to buy NAB this morning which was "quarantined". What does that even mean?

I tried phoning them but the line was constantly busy. I can't cancel or amend the order online.

I now have a large amount of money at risk and the share price has gone up over 10% since I tried to place the order, representing a large loss for me.

I used ETrade for many years and was completely happy with the service. This year ANZ (through their outsourced provider) managed to implement what may be the worst rollout of an online service I've ever seen. Their inability to manage the simplest of things, like logging into your account, is a good example of their incompetence, but don't think that the bad service ends there. I made the mistake of trying to transfer shares from Macquarie to their platform and they managed to stretch what should have been a 3 day process into about a month. Of course, I had to spend hours on the phone with their "support" staff to try to get my shares which had otherwise disappeared into a black hole. I'd suspect malfeasance if it wasn't so obvious that their staff are incompetent beyond belief.

When they rolled out their new website several months ago, I noticed that logging out of one account via the logout button didn't actually log you out! It said "you have been logged out" but if you then tried to login to another account by clicking the login button again, it took you straight back into your account without asking for your username and password. In other words, it lied about having logged you out. This is such an incredible security breach that I found it hard to believe. I told their support staff about it but they did nothing for several weeks.

Today, months after the initial problem, I tried again and noticed that it was "fixed" - quite surprised that they had actually done something! That's when I noticed that, yes, it no longer automatically logged you back into your account without asking for username and password. The solution they'd implemented is that after logging out you can no longer log into ANY account. Genius!

That's the last straw, I'm moving to another platform. Avoid this one like the plague.

ANZ you should be ashamed of yourself.

As a user of E-trade for the past twenty years who never experienced a problem, I find the new ANZ platform an absolute disaster. Information which was easily accessed under the previous platform is either unavailable or hard to access. The new platform does not appear to be compatible with my IPad, and support staff are not supportive or interested in helping. The previous E-Trade platform was so user friendly but I now have no option but to change to another trader. Very disappointed.

I found the old ANZ Platform for SMSF very user friendly the new CMG is for the Brokers not the little man why do the big companies switch they forget that the little man is the ones that hold up the business of the banking and share industry sorry ANZ I will be leaving after June 2019 and going else where I have tried to persavere but to no evale not my cup of tea good luck.

So it's taken them 2 weeks NOT to implement the change of mailing address that I have now TWICE emailed the signed confirmation for, and then they send 21 (yes, TWENTY ONE) separate emails when I sold one small parcel of 160 shares today. It's madness, ongoing. Not to mention the total lack of any indication as to the % yield for each stock I have with them. I have to get that from a free stocks and shares app (My ASX) on my phone. eTrade had its glitches occasionally, but at least it worked sensibly and informatively.

Previously as Etrade I had all the information I needed on one page now it is scattered though all kinds of areas of the site. Even simple information like date purchased I am still yet to find, and really don't want to have to search through transaction history. Going to look into transferring to another platform. Only got 1 star because I couldn't give it less.

One star is too much
The old Etrade was great, since changing to Anz the platform is not user friendly, call center staff are really untrained and an embarrassment with their answers to questions (Cleary from a script), always painful security checks as a regular customer (ok maybe necessary), staff always put you on hold to ask a colleague. Missing trades because of glitches and my balance won’t update to available funds. Watching shares go up 2-5% while I’m on the phone to them sorting out why available funds are not showing as available, has cost $1000’s
Also their trades are not cheap!
Then there’s their margin lending, ive had several problems there too, their end.

I have used ANZ Pro prior to the change over last year without 1 dropout. Over the last 2 months the site has continually dropped out everyday without fail every 10 to 20 minutes or when I change screens.
I have made numerous phone calls, chat online sent screen shots and complained and I get told to do an F5 refresh and then login again. I am also told that I have to clear my cache and browsing history which I do over and over again. I have 2 laptops and change laptops when this happens and the problem still occurs on the 2nd laptop. Explain that ANZ. You have a nerve charging $44.45 for the third rate service you provide.
I am truly disgusted with the service because after all the complaints nothing is being resolved.
I am in the process of switching Brokers.

I have 67 share holdings across three separate accounts. As far as I can see, in approximately 50% of these, average cost per share as shown on ANZ reports (Profit and Loss etc) is calculated incorrectly. I suppose it is possible that my calculations are incorrect, but I really don’t think so, as I am using a weighted average calculation that has been in complete agreement with the old ETrade calculation for the past decade or so.
I haven’t fully established a pattern to this, but it seems that for new purchases ANZ may be picking up the share price at time of system update rather than at time of purchase, despite the purchase notification showing the correct figure. Also, figures are often incorrect where further purchases of a specific stock have been made – including, but not limited to, stock acquired through a dividend reimbursement program. In general, the cost discrepancies are of the order of 1.5% to 3.5%, which is not insignificant when you are looking at an investment strategy or calculating capital gains.

Some weeks ago I notified ANZ of this issue in writing, with multiple examples to illustrate the problem and an request to fix it or to explain to me why they disagree with my calculations. I marked my request, “THIS IS A BIG DEAL”. I have had no response. I believe this matter needs to be resolved urgently, and definitely before the end of the financial year. I repeat - THIS IS A BIG DEAL.

I have tried to contact ANZ Share Trading on a number of occasions, and have wasted hours for them to answer the phone. I even went to an ANZ branch, and they could not get through to them!
