Art for Sale - Buy Prints or Originals Direct from the Artist

This is what I wrote recently to the founder of Artspan. I’d like to share it here:

I want to express my gratitude to you for all the years you have devoted to building Artspan so that artists like me can construct and easily maintain a website. Your concept has been brilliant!

I believe that I signed on as one of your earlier users and I’ve never looked back. Your constant innovation and the support desk team has been superb.

I am always happy to see the monthly charge on my Visa bill as I truly believe that the value you provide is priceless.

I’ve moved from Vermont to the Santa Barbara area now and the only thing I didn’t need to weed out or pack up was my website, powered by Artspan!!

I have been a member of the Artspan artist websites since 2014, and am very glad that I chose their platform. My previous experience with building a website was with the iWeb platform, and although I was content with that platform, it was no longer supported by Apple and the program was becoming slightly problematic. Artspan was one of my options at the time, and choosing them turned out to be a good decision. With limited technical experience (but a good eye for design) and using one of their many stylish templates, I was able to build a professional-looking website without too much blood, sweat and tears. I've since tweaked my site in various ways, which is very easy to do, and there are many options. Artspan also offers an artist community, does advertising for their artists and hosts competitions. My experience with their very friendly, knowledgeable and always quick-to-respond Tech Support has been excellent. If your primary expertise is your art, and your technical expertise is a distant second, I think you will be very happy with how you can feature your art professionally using the Artspan platform.

Easy to setup, you get your money FAST, easy to navigate for customers, I sold 3 prints and an original piece in my first few days, Customer service has been great and very informative!

I have been with Artspan for a few years now and have had nothing but good experiences with it. I appreciate that it is easy to use and allows me to change things as I want. I was with another website before and everything had to be done by them and sometimes took a while to be accomplished. With Artspan when I sell a painting I can just mark it as sold myself. I have had some inquires about my works and Artspan will always advise that it may be a scam, which unfortunately several have been. Being a trusting person this has helped me from being a victim of scammers. I would recommend Artspan to anyone who wants to set up an artist website without spending a fortune.

For those who’ve notice my absence on the local art scenes,
I’ve spent the last 5 years documenting my art works for picture books, notecards, and my online galleries at ArtSpan, since most of my previous arts & crafts are in the homes of private collections.

Since I am NOT very digitally-tech oriented, the ease of using Artspan has only gotten better and better with more integrated features at no extra cost along the way. Managing my website is so easy! I have used Artspan for my professional artist’s website for over 10 years. They have kept pace with the tech, new templates, SEOs etc. My images are secure, quality of POD is great and on the rare occasion I screwed something up (hard to do, but I managed a couple of times over the years), communications were prompt, helpful and professional. I been an Artspan member for 2 years and I would recommend this site to any artist looking for a website. I am not a techie, and setting it up takes some time, but it is very user friendly, and I was able to do it by myself. Their support is prompt, always. I have been using Artspan for about 5 years. I find it to be convenient to use and I am extremely happy with most of its features. I can easily upload new artwork from my laptop or smart phone, add multiple views and share artwork to social media- Love this! For the price this is a really good value.
The part I’m not crazy about is the Ecomerce. I find it a little cumbersome. There is no place for customer to input their phone number. I arrange shipping after the sale by calling customer and giving options. With no phone number I have to wait for customer to respond to my email w their phone number. I also don’t like that my sales go through Artspan’s Paypal. For large amounts the wait can be long for the funds to show up in my account.

We found that this business has an active Facebook page with 7664 followers. From our experience this can indicate that the business is trustworthy and popular among people. We have discovered that this business has SSL (secure sockets layer), which means that this business handles your data, such as personal information or credit card details, with secure connection. We found that the domain for this business is older than two years which could be an indication that this is a trustworthy business with an established customer base and experience in their field.
