House elevations were great but interiors for the great room with a cathedral ceiling was not a true cathedral as it was bisected by two long tunnels from the back dormers. Construction wise it was designed with large joists to holdup the first and second floor when small adjustments to the room would allow for weight bearing walls which are less expensive to build.

I have known for years that I wanted a Don Gardner home and I am very excited to begin building my dream home. Tricia, the architect who modified my plans, was wonderful to work with. I can't wait to send in pictures of the build. This will be a beautiful house.

We are still early in the bid process so I don't know what type of questions may still come up once the contractor gets into the details of the plans. Modification pricing was cost prohibitive but that was the only downside so far. Ordering process was very easy and quick.

The website really has a lot to choose from. I wish there were more interior pictures and a price range for building. The plans we purchased are out of our price range to build. But overall the best website we have found.

I am a licensed home builder in the state of SC. I have built several homes using Donald Gardner Plans. Very easy to understand and very thorough with structural drawings. I plan to purchase another set very soon.

Excellent customer service. Both times I called the information I needed was provided. This was the second plan we have purchased and received a repeat customer discount! Everyone I spoke with was very helpful and seemed to truly care.

My husband and I have contracted with Don Gardner Architects to modify one of their home plans for our retirement home. I am design professional and have worked in the Architect-Engineer profession for over 30 years. They are currently working on the modifications that we've requested, so we haven't seen the end result yet, however, the working drawings that we received on the original home plan appear to be well prepared with substantial amount of detail. The modifications which we're making are fairly significant and the designer whom we've been corresponding with has been responsive and helpful. We look forward to seeing the final home plans in a few more weeks.

Don Gardner's house plans caught my eye the very first time I saw them. When researching house plans, I kept coming back to the DG website. The website is user friendly and I enjoy seeing real pictures of homes that have already been built. Buying the house plans was easy and they arrived quickly. We are currently in the process of building now and our experience so far has been a positive one!

It all went smoothly. Love the design I picked out. The house is built. Now the inside work is starting. Have received Compliments from neighbor she loves it. Hoping it turns out gorgeous. Can't wait to enjoy it.

Received our plans faster than expected which are clear and precise. I am very happy with the plans and ease of use of the website. I especially enjoyed the albums of other homes built which helped in my design decisions.

This is the second home we are building using a DG plan. Our son is purchasing our home and so we are building again. We loved our first DG home and decided to look for a smaller 'Retirement' plan. We are excited and anticipate loving this home as much as the one before.

My custom builder recommended Don Gardner Architects for house plans. There were so many great plans to choose from, and many of the designs were very close to the ideas I already had in mind for my dream home. I selected a plan that met 90% of my requirements, and began working through the modification request process with Tricia Hummel, the personal architect assigned to my project. Tricia took time to listen and verify all of my change requests, gave suggestions for improvements in the design, and was always quick to get back to me when I had questions. With Tricia's eye for architectural design and detail, the final drawings exceeded all my expectations. Tricia and Donald Gardner Architects made this whole experience fun and exciting and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a partner to help you design the home of your dreams!

We were very happy with our overall experience. We made some modifications to the Sloan plan and the design is exactly what we wanted. The costs and planning schedule was very clear. The process was very easy especially during this time when all of us are working through Covid-19. Customer service was superb! Very much appreciated the attention from Teresa during design and Crystal when the plans were ready!

They have nice plans and many to choose from. You also buy plans directly from them which is much easier and faster than going through a third party, which many other companies use. They stand behind their products if any issues arise in a very timely manner. They were quick to resolve my issue to my satisfaction. I will never have to build a home again at my age, but I would highly recomend them to others.

We have lived in a home designed by this company. A previous home was the Satchwell design. It has been our favorite home and very open and spacious. This is why we went with the same architect company.

We have been looking at house plans for the last 10 years and are finally ready to build our forever house. The entire process was very easy and the customer service was great. We ended up purchasing the Reproducible PDF to give to our designer.

Have looked at DAG plans for 2-3 years. Finally beginning our building process and first impressions are outstanding. Have spoken with Christina initially, then with plan modifications coordinator, Tricia. Both are outstanding.
