We followed instructions and set out samples for the rats to get used to the flavor of the product and they have torn the samples off to eat them but they don't fall for the trap. I give it two stars because it does look well made, it just won't catch the rats.

Nothing else worked at first I was leery but once I set it up left a small yummy sample underneath the gadget it successfully caught the rat took him out before He knew what was up about half-hour later a hawk collected him just like the video said they would. No poision, no Hassel dealing with his little body he was gone & so was my sleepless nights. Sure it was pricy but worth every penny & no more buying things that don't work or the rat runs away holding the trap this works so good it makes Me think New Zealanders are right smart people thank You so much for the sleep I get now CHEERS

After failures with traps including the classic snap trap, an electric multi-mouse unit, and even a rolling log trap all of which performed more like feeders than traps for the sneaky little mice in my 200 year old farmhouse, I did some research and found the A24. The fact that it had the potential to kill 24 nocturnal bait stealers eliminated my resistance to the considerable cost of the device. I ordered directly from Automatic Trap Company and immediately set the trap up when it arrived. The next morning I was like a kid on Christmas day when I opened the basement door and found 6 mice stacked neatly around the A24! It has delivered numerous single kills including one rat since that first night. I got the version with the counter and like knowing the strike count matches the kill count!

The A24 mouse and rat trap is a well designed device that delivers on its promise to automatically neutralize rodents. I hope you have as much success with it as I have. #A24success

Best rodent trap I have ever used in 20 years of rodent issues. Excellent results with gray squirrels, red squirrels, and chipmunks.
It self resets and allows no more use of worrisome poisons for pets, kids etc.

In my 61 years on this earth I’ve only ever purchased 3 products that performed as advertised.....the A24 is one of them.
This is a magic device that is so simple to use.
I would and have recommended this product to others.

We had this trap Out for Two nights. The first night nothing, the second we got FIVE!! I am more than ecstatic !! Follow
The directions closely , the first place we put it, it didn’t work. But don’t give up, this thing is a rat / mouse killing machine !

For the past four years we at the Kauai Forest Bird Recovery Project have been using A24 traps to protect critically endangered Hawaiian birds in the remote Alaka’i Swamp. We currently have more than 400 traps in active use protecting more than a square mile of critical habitat. Sad fact is that the number of traps is nearly the same as the total population of the endemic Small Kauai Thrush, a bird that suffers sever threats by non-native rats at their nests. The remote habitats where these birds still remain are nearly impossible to access, and is mostly done with expensive helicopter flights. Without the labor-savings from the self-resetting traps that only need to be checked two or three times a year, we would never be able to protect the birds as well as we do. We also put them to the test, leaving them for years in one of the wettest forests on the planet. Whenever we interact with the people at Automatic Trap Company we are always met with quick professional responses, from technical expertise to tracking giant orders of bait.

4 rats were killed in one week but I don't have evidence. The electronic counter showed 4 on the display so it must be working. The raccoons are in the yard every night now. Great, you get rid of one critter and another group of critters follow.

I have the A24 in a work shed and have been getting at least 1-2 rodents per week- much better than any traps I've tried in the past. Easy to install/refill, saw results (dead rat) about 12 hours after setting it up.

It took a few weeks and I had to move it a few times, but now it rewards me with a steady stream of dead mice in my garage. Also a few rats, although they are a lot less frequent. No more worries about the dogs eating the poison!

After 10 years of trying poisons, snap traps, glue strips, contracting for pest control services and other methods to attempt to mitigate the ongoing mouse issues at my cabin up north, I have to say the A24 Goodnature mouse trap is by far the best and most effective trap I have used. I have tested it indoors and outdoors, over a period now of eight months, in temperatures as cold as -37 degrees Celsius and it continues to work consistently. Because of the success at the cabin, I also tested it at my home in the city in the backyard deck and barbecue area and it also worked effectively. It is the best mouse trap I have ever used. I have since thrown out and removed all other traps and cancelled my pest control service. I have not heard or seen any mice since shortly after installing the trap 8 months ago. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the product.

I am changing my rating from 1 to 4. its not because all of a sudden the item work for me. But because this company stands behind its products. I bought the product gave it a try and it did not work for me. It might had been the rats were no interested in the item or that there is a lot of food around for them and the chocolate lure was not getting there attention. Regardless the reason. the company refunded me . It might work for others. I felt confident to buy a product from this company knowing they stand behind their product or money back guarantee,.

I have three A24 traps placed outside of three buildings. I’ve had numerous types of rodent traps that have all failed when exposed to the elements. This trap works flawlessly for weeks at a time. I’m amazed at the quality of every part of these traps and understand why they’re a little pricey. They’re well worth the cost. I highly recommend getting the counter if you’re interested in keeping a body count. I have a security camera trained on one trap and was amazed to find the dead mice being dragged away by other mice. I did some research and was disgusted to learn that mice will eat their own. The new stands that have just been introduced work perfectly.
