Order was placed on 12/17 - received a confirmation email of order but nothing since (including not having received the order). When ordering online it's helpful to get an e-mail when the product has been sent. I don't know the current status of the order - due to this, the purchasing experience is rated as low. I tried to get a status via the confirmation e-mail (contact info, automatic link to the website etc.) but couldn't find anything. I also couldn't find a site to check by searching online... the unknown with the order is uncomfortable...

I needed to purchase a replacement battery pack for an old Dell laptop that my pup chewed through. I received an order confirmation soon after the purchase and it arrived shortly after that. The price was much lower than Dell was charging and the unit has been working flawlessly for 2 months now.

I ordered two batteries but when the order arrived there was only one in the package eventhough the packing slip said two shipped. I expected it to be a problem but when I informed brilliantstore they promptly shipped out another one. No fuss. Brilliant!

I bought a "Dell" power adapter that turned out not to be made by Dell. When I tried to return it, I couldn't find an email address to contact for the return. I called the phone number, and was dropped into the worst hold queue I've ever experienced. Every few seconds, it would say, "To cancel holding, press 2 now. Otherwise I'll try your party again." Except every once in a while, it would say "To continue holding, press 1." So I had to really stay on the ball and keep pressing 1 at the right times so I wouldn't lose my place. This went on for over 10 minutes. When I finally got a real person, she argued with me and said that the website said it was a generic adapter (it didn't -- it said "Dell Laptop AC Adapter PA-10"). She did process the return, so they've got that going for them, but I wouldn't buy from this store again.

It has been 35 days since placing the order and item ordered has not arrived. Time to do a charge back to recover the charges.
The vendor comment on March 15 that it takes 3 to 4 weeks still does not address the issue since the review was written at day 35 of waiting for the order to arrive. On my calendar 35 days is clearly past 4 weeks.

The window kit had an oval opening so I ordered the plastic adaptor kit ($15.95) to fit this oval opening. Instead of receiving the 2 parts I ordered and PAID for, I instead receive just a window kit with a circular opening instead. I receive no plastic adaptor. OK I figure that will be fine I will just use it and it would work, but they owe me a refund on the plastic adaptor kit I NEVER RECEIVED YET PAID FOR. Wrong! This is their response after I bring this issue to there attention:

This is a total load of BS. The "one" kit I received is one their website for $37.95. I ordered 2 parts, one was a window kit for $37.95, the other was the required adaptor for $15.95. Now I receive only 1 item at the $37.95 price with them refusing to refund the $15.95 that I paid for NOTHING. Furthermore, I called multiple times throughout the day and was unable to reach a live person. I had to do all of this correspondence by email.

I WILL NOT BUY ANYTHING ELSE FROM BRILLIANT STORE NOR WILL I RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE I KNOW. THAT IS UNLESS YOU WANT TO ORDER SOMETHING, RECEIVE SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT WHICH COSTS LESS AND THEN ARE DENIED A REFUND. JUST RIDICULOUS.

Their site says the Co. is in Silicon Valley, CA
What it doesn't say is all the merchandise is coming from their warehouse in China and can take 6+ weeks for delivery. If you use pay pal you may not make the deadline to open a dispute if you wait 6+ weeks for the item to come.

I give this merchant a thumbs down. I requested at time of purchase that I be given a tracking number. 10 days have passed - no merchandise, no information. Their customer service number is not answered - just a request to leave a message. Still waiting for response to my email request for status of order.

This is my second order from brilliant store, my first order they sent my shipment short but they were so good at correcting the problem "no questions asked" that I ordered from them again and this time it was no problem. The battery came fast and works.

At first, my Compaq laptop battery had finicky connection. An RMA number was provided quickly via phone (company response to email is spotty). Replacement battery received ~10 days later -- works great!

I recieved this adaptor in the end of February but this adaptor did not work properly from the day first. I had to bend it many time before I use it. It is three weeks that It has completely dead and not working at all. I had very hard time with this Sattelite toshiba adaptor. Please let me know what you can help me with this?

I would need to replace this adaptor. Please advice?

ordered on nov 28th 2008 received on dec 15th 2008.... slow like a sloth personally delivered.... well good packaging..... ordered a dell inspiron 9400 battery.... got some cheap ass shitty about to fall apart that wouldn't fit my dell inspiron 9400 becuase of how poorly it's made (got some bumps on the inside sticking out).... slowest shipping i've seen so far (i might be in Canada but i've never had to wait nothing near this long for something even from the states). I 've just finished sending an email to them and hope to get a response shortly and get a full refund. i paid more for battery than needed (considering it's not an original dell battery) paid 65us plus shipping when i saw deals at even $35-40 us.... overpaid, sloth shipping, and worst ...... dosen't work = not happy at all....gonna ad more now .... they told me a replacement will be sent after phoning them.... slow mailing.. no way... i cut some plastic of of it .. shittty shity... but managed to get it in... now 4 months later it only last no more 45 min a min power... 20 min at max... it's already dying..... don't bother with them buy an original from dell.. just ordered it today april 13 for $179 CAD.. american is cheaper.... screw them...

for ground shippping it stated 4 -5 days. pgk arrived 11/13/07. item was shipped on 11/05 so it should of been here on the 10th at the latest.

I found a replacement battery for my PowerBook on this site advertised for about $40 less than most other online sellers, so the other companies were charging about 50 percent more. I thought this sounded a bit too good to be true, so I searched and found only a few reviews of the company. They seemed to be OK, so I took the gamble.

Well, that was Wednesday. I selected the free shipping option, and lo and behold, the battery arrived THE NEXT DAY: Thursday!! I don't know how they did that. It came by regular US mail.

I conditioned the battery with an overnight charge and a full cycle, followed by another overnight charge. So far so good. It holds about the same charge that my original battery did when I bought the laptop in 2002.

So: great price, amazing service, and product as advertised.

First: I ordered a Whyntner ST-8000C cooler and Brilliantstore shipped a completely different brand (Sungold) available for $50 less on competitor's websites. Although they refunded the price differential when I pointed it out to them, they declined giving me a full refund for wanting to return the product they shipped me.

Second: The product does not work at all the way it is advertised and the manufacturer (Sungold) claims. Although the features are nice (remote, variable speeds, etc) the bottom line is this product does not cool the air AT ALL. It did not change the air temperature one single degree, regardless of the ice packs being in use, or after running for several hours. All it does is blow air, which makes it a very expensive $120 fan.

Third: I paid over $50 in shipping fees plus a 15% restocking fee charged by Brilliantstore, for a whole lot of NOTHING.

Conclusion: This was the biggest boondoggle internet purchase I have ever made. I am completely disappointed with the product they sent me and unhappy about the entire shopping experience on Brilliantstore for not sending me what I ordered and not fully refunding my money, including shipping charges, and then adding insult to injury by charging a 15% restocking fee when they didn't send me what I ordered in the first place.

Save your money. Do not buy an appliance of this type without being able to physically see and feel what you are purchasing to see if the product really does what it claims, and purchasing from a company who completely stands by the products they sell and doesn't penalize the consumer for their mistakes.

I ordered a UPS replacement battery and happened to order the wrong kind. I did not know this until it got to my door and I opened the box. The shipping to me was fast. I called and they resolved my issue by issuing an RMA #. They did charge a 15% restocking fee and I said ok as it was my mistake since I ordered the wrong item and their policies do mention a 15% fee. I mailed out the battery and they refunded me the same day they received it back. Very professional. I paid via paypal and they refunded via paypal. A+++ I was not refunded my shipping fees either way which also was understandable as it was my mistake.

I ordered jacket for my mother and paid for fast delivery(1-3days). I waited for 3 days and the status of my order was still ''shipping soon'', when it supposed to by by my door. I wrote the email to them, and finally someone kindly respond that they got "shipping issue we are currently experiencing with our manufacturer"...My mother birthday is 9th, which is tomorrow and the gift nowhere to be seen. Where is the reward for this unpleasant experience with company?
