Used this company for an international relocation from UK to mainland Europe. Would definitely not recommend. First, the shared load move took longer than two months. Then the agreed delivery date was postponed of one day, meaning two days off taken from work rather than one. And then one item lost, and no compensation whatsoever, claiming that the insurance policy did not cover loss of items.

They told us delivery would be 4-6 weeks after shipping. After 5 weeks we contact them asking for an ETA - they couldn't even tell us where our stuff was for 3 weeks (despite numerous emails and calls).

Our belongings finally arrived after over two months and two weeks! The most valuable item (a 34" ceramic antique) is shattered - the box didn't even have fragile written on it! And there are other damages as well, including a picture frame that wasn't even wrapped in paper.

For your sake, avoid like the plague!

Moved from Hertfordshire to Perthshire.
Jenni in the Aylesbury office was so much help when I had delay after delay resulting in having to cancel my booking on two separate occasions. The second time was after a very awkward and time specific booking was made and where the solicitor of one of the parties in the chain failed to get information to my solicitor on time resulting in my booking being given to someone else. 4 hours later I received the information and quickly called Jenni to ask if she could help in any way, and after an hour she called me to say she had managed to conjure up something. It meant I had 5 nights in hotels before my house contents could be delivered to my new property, but as I had to vacate the house I had sold by a specific date I was more than happy to do this. I met the delivery driver (Dale) spot on time and he was great also. The only small glitch in the entire moving experience was a delay of 1 1/2 hours waiting on the shuttle van arriving, they only had to travel about 60 miles from their depot, but still were late. That being said, the packing up, the transportation and the delivery of my goods was great. Everyone involved in this particular move was helpful in every way, but without the expert help of Jenni I dread to think what could have resulted. My sincere thanks to all concerned, and I certainly recommend the company.

used Britannia to help my parents move from their house of 50 years to a retirement village 50 miles away. From coming to do the quote, through to the collection of the boxes a few days afterwards, they couldn't have been more helpful. Everybody from sales guy doing quote through to the office team and our packers/drivers, they were all very friendly, helpful and thorough, with lots of advice and help. It all went as smoothly as it could, and the sun shone which does make it somewhat less challenging. Wouldn't hesitate to use again or recommend.

From start to finish our move from the UK to Indonesia was dealt with very professionally. The communication was always thorough and friendly and all information was presented and explained clearly. There were a couple of damaged items on when delivered but we were given the option of claiming on the insurance or a quick fix by the team on arrival. We opted for the quick fix and the local team did a good job.
Will definitely use again in the future.

Move from Sweden to UK
I used Briannia to move a writing bureau, paintings and some boxes from Sweden to UK in March 2020. From the beginning to the end, Britannia (Fiona Haveloch-Jones) were nothing but supportive and kept me up to date with what was happening. As I was in UK, we had to coordinate with my friend in Sweden where the items were being stored, and communication was efficient and excellent and overall it was a very smooth process.
I have in the past moved several times with Britannia as we are an Army family and I have always been equally impressed with their service. I can highly recommend them for any type of move, domestic or international.

We recently moved from Maidenhead to Norfolk (UK) with the Britannia Bucks & Herts team and were very happy with the excellent service we received. The crew on the two days of our removal was exceptionnal. Asking acurate questions that helped me to do the best removal ever. They were nice, polite, and very professional.

We used Britannia to move our belongings from South Africa to the UK and they were a pleasure to work with.
The only area they could maybe do a little better is when packing they could fit a little more into the boxes instead of half-empty containers which ultimately impacts on the volume.

I moved house 10 months ago and stored my furniture with Britannia. It is far from the cheapest company however they were recommended and the removal men were excellent. Unfortunately, when we came to move into our new house recently, I found the service from Britannia appalling. We completed on our property during the Covid19 lockdown. We gave two weeks notice, as per our contract, to take delivery of our furniture. We called on a number of occasions during and after this two week period and were told that they would speak to someone in charge and get back to us but never did. We understood that they may not be able to deliver due to lockdown so we offered to come and get the furniture ourselves but this was refused. Even after shops had started doing two man deliveries and other removers were working there was still no news from Britannia. All this time we were paying for storage that we no longer wanted and rent as we could not move into our new home with no furniture. Eventually, as there was no communication from Britannia, we decided to get the house decorated while we were waiting. We then got an email to say the furniture would be delivered with two days notice. By that time, with decorators in, we asked them to delay delivery by just two days and the attitude of the person, who I think was senior management, was appalling. He had no concept of customer service, There was no discussion with us, the paying customer, as to what was convenient for us. I just got a rant about how hard it was for him and that I was putting him out by not slotting into his schedule. At no point did he apologise for our inconvenience and additional storage and rental costs. He even said he was charging customers an extra £100+vat to cover the company's additional costs due to Covid19 but he'd waive it for us! Frankly, I found his manner self absorbed and borderline aggressive. There was no explanation as to why they delayed starting up deliveries when government advice was that they could have started up sooner as others did. They were furloughing their staff whilst charging customers for storage that they did not need. When I challenged him and said that I would seek legal advice as the customer shouldn't have to pay for the additional storage time, the company was getting government compensation so it was for the company to bear the cost, I was told that I could seek whatever advice I liked but I wasn't getting my furniture until I paid for in full. After the furniture had been delivered, we were told to just call when we needed the empty boxes picking up and they'd come and get them. When we called we were told it would be two weeks. After two weeks we called again and were told it would be another four weeks before they could come. We ended up queuing at the local tip to dispose of them. I would not recommend this company. There are lots of other removers so my advice would be to save your money and use anyone else.

We moved back to the UK late last year. Used a company in Perth Western Australia who advised us that we should receive our belongings in early November - uplift was 31st July. Early September we found out that our shipping had not left Australia. No response whatsoever from the company to our emails. Finally posted a review late Sunday afternoon - late evening Melbourne time where person in charge of our shipping was based - on 6th October. Within half an hour an email from her advising shipping had left 1st October!
British agents information given as Britannia Movers International. I contacted them to advise contact details for us. The estimated time of arrival of shipping was 7th December, and, talking with the team at Britannia, they confirmed that there was little likelihood of our receiving our possessions much before early January. We had prepared ourselves for this, having been letdown so badly by the Perth company..
Britannia called us to confirm ships arrival on the 7th, advised us all the way through that they’d marked our consignment as “urgent” delivery.
Christmas week Britannia called us to say they could deliver on the 30th - I thought they meant the 30th January - no 30th December. Yes please and thank you.
Prior to the delivery day, local team here in Cornwall, called To confirm and gave a time of 9am. Not a problem.
The team arrived at 8:40, 3 lovely guys - Jake, Steve and Phil (so hope I’ve remembered correctly) very professional as well. We can’t unpack most of our things due to a bad damp problem, showed the team where all needed to go. Kettle on, biscuit tin out, they finished in 2 hours. All the time they toiled away - very heavy trunk and sideboard - they were cheerful, polite and lovely to deal with.
Britannia have so impressed us with theIr professionalism, support and courtesy, we’re engaging their services to ship our things back to Perth.
In comparison to the so called professional company in Perth, that took 5 months to get our possessions to us, Britannia have been so supportive. We definitely recommend Britannia Movers International. Great time at Redhill and locally in Cornwall. Thank you to all of you.

So, I moved from South africa to Ireland, and Britannia was recommended to me, I can totally understand why, the service has been of such a high standard from first meeting , all the way through to the final delivery. I woudl totally recommend the company moving forward!!!!
