They never sent my boxes so I expected a full refund, like you do...
Instead they call it a cancellation and deduct £10 for admin.
On the face of it a nice little earner for doing nothing.
I smell a scam and advise others to shop elsewhere.

Had a slight communication problem and my box was delayed by one day. I’ve just managed to get my package ready for collection inside ten minutes before the next delivery company arrived,which was cutting it very fine, otherwise it would have been one star. Communication needs to improve if I am to use again.

Two years ago, I ordered boxes for the busy Christmas period. I ordered in November but the boxes were not delivered until the following April. I called them regularly and every time they told me they are on their way. Reminiscent of a taxi firm. This is no exaggeration.

I recently ordered from them again as I was unable to find another supplier with a specific size box I needed for my business. I ordered double sided boxes but the ones that arrived were single plus a smaller thinner second wall which did not carry the strength to previous ones ordered. I wrote to them and they told me that they had supplied as ordered and that I was responsible for the costs of returning the items despite them not being proper double sided. Clearly some cheap substitutes.

We have been using Cardboardboxes for over 1 year now and they have always been very efficient in all sides of the business. Deadlines are consistently met and the quality of the boxes are very good. They are very quick to answer and give quotes. Would definitely reccomend

I ordered from Cartons Direct in Dec 2016. No issue with the speed the order was delivered however, the condition it was delivered in is another matter. A good 20% of the boxes I ordered were unusable as the they were creased, the locking mechanisms were damaged - all due to the completely inadequate way they were packaged for delivery ....quite ironic really given the nature of their business! I contacted them immediately (by phone and email) on the 8th sending numerous photos illustrating the damage. I was assured they would follow up and get back to me asap. I contacted them by email again on 21st Dec asking whether there was any update on my complaint...they apologised for the delay in replying and again assured me they would chase it up. I emailed them AGAIN on the 9th Jan asking for an update. this time they have just completely ignored my email.....yet I see on here that they have managed to reply to complaints that are out in the public domain. I would never order from this company again, once they have your money they are not interested whatsoever in providing any kind of customer service. So glad I decided to place a sample order with them and didn't just go straight ahead with my full order of 500k boxes. Fortunately there are many other company's out there who not only provide good quality boxes but are really concerned in ensuring their customers receive a good service.

I was recommended to try this company by a local box manufacturer and i have had a superb first order performance receiving good friendly communication, emails from each stage of progress and shipping information with delivery time exactly spot on.I would sincerley recommend their service to anyone.

We have been using this Company now for over 5 years and in that time they have manufactured for us over 100,000 bespoke box's. We have found that the cardboard stock they use to be of excellent for both colour and rigidness and these protect our delicate items while in the postal system. Lead time for delivery is ten days for our own box design and this works well for us as we can call off existing stock. The staff are nice and helpful and answer the phone in a timely manner. Keep up the good work

After using a number of different suppliers I found this company around a year ago and have had 3 orders from them. Although they do get busy (around Christmas time naturally), they have always been very helpful over the phone and the boxes are superb quality for the price. There is usually a week lead time when ordering (this appears normal for box orders) so I simply order a little in advance to make sure they arrive.

Interestingly- in response to the other reviews, I had these 'non delivery' issues with a number of other box companies but never with cartons direct.

PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY BY ALL MEANS

I have ordered boxes on 24 November 2017. By the whole plan it supposed to arrive in one week. It did not arrive in one week nor in two months.
After numerous calls and emails I only hear copy pasted phrases, from call to call, from email to email. I have cancelled my order after one month and requested a refund. Ever since then, I was already promised twice that I will receive my money back. It was more than enough time for the transfer to reach my bank account. Even if horses with carriages would carry it from one side of the world to another - it would be enough of time! This company obviously does dodgy and illegal business. I have no idea how it still exists after so many dirty transactions, but from my side, I have already reported this company and filed a case with my bank.

Please, people, respect your money and your time and don't buy anything from this company. If only I would have read all the negative reviews before my purchase I would have saved both.

Wish we had read reviews of this business. We've had to initiate a chargeback process. They agreed to deliver some boxes by certain date by tracked delivery, took payment in full, never delivered, never provided tracking information and it's goes without saying never bothered to reply to any emails. AVOID AT ALL COSTS EVEN IF CHEAP

PS: Did some research into this shady outfit and seems like the previous guise of the business Boxes 2 Go Ltd went into liquidation the back end of 2019 leaving suppliers and taxman out of pocket to the tune of £179k! Check it out on companies house. Be careful, you don't want to pay them and then they go bust again.

I ordered some boxes ready for my move on the 20th of August 2019. I waited until the end of August and called to check the progress of my order. The lady said they were still processing it. I called again on the 2nd of Sept and was told that the majority of the items were out of stock and to cancel I would to email them.

I sent an email to cancel the order on the 2/9/19 but did not receive a reply as requested, so I raised a claim with Paypal.

I today (18/9/19) received an email from Paypal saying that the seller has provided a delivery tracking number via FedEx, for delivery on the 13/09/19. I moved on the 12/13 of Sept but had access to the property until 17/9/19, and there were no deliveries for me. Also, I know all of my neighbours (gated compound).

Paypal told me to call FedEx, which I did. The tracking number supplied by this company was for someone of a different name, who lived at the other end of the country! FedEx checked my name, address and telephone number for a whole month and found nothing.

I went back to Paypal, and this lovely lady thoroughly checked the tracking number and could see the address was not mine and issued me a refund.

I do not recommend this company, they have a poor way of doing business, and I will not be using them again.

I ordered 2 sets of parcel boxes for my new business a month ago, it stated delivery within a week. I contacted the seller twice to ask for tracking info and no response. I opened a case on PayPal and the seller responded saying it must have got lost in the post and their dispatch team would resend to arrive by the end of the week. Nothing arrived over a week later. contacted seller again for tracking info and no response. Still no boxes. I am unable to order from elsewhere until I get my money back as I’m on such a tight budget. Totally ruined the start of my business. So disappointed. Avoid!

Ordered well before Christmas as I wanted boxes to send stuff to my son in America. Nothing. Phoned them ,they couldn't find the order even though they'd taken the payment.The boss will call you back. Nothing. Phoned again, left with promises that they will be sent. Finally, well after Christmas got an extremely crushed package. I had ordered three and I got one wrong size, crushed with water damage box. GO ELSEWHERE.

Nobody here signed anything, it was found on the door step when we got home in the evening.

I purchased a lot of moving boxes and other packing materials among others 2 rolls of bubble wrap 150 cm width. They sent me two rolls of bubble wrap half the width! After having sent them numerous emails they responded that they didn't had the ordered width on stock and rather leaving me without any bubble wrap they sent me the next available! I therefore only received about half that I had paid for. A refund of 43 Pounds should have been made, but despite many phone calls and emails they company didn't do anything - basically steeling my money. Furthermore the company delivered me used Tesco cardboard boxes even though I had paid and ordered new ones. I can only say - stay away from this company it is the worst I have experienced.

I placed an order on their website around the 20th of January, not a big order at all, and very light. They charged me £8 for postage... ok..? A week and a half down the line still no good and no communication from them, contacted Yodel and traced my parcel - they said it had been delivered! ... contacted cartons direct to ask what was going on. It took another ... 3 or 4 days to get a reply out of them. Saying basically, oh we've spoken to yodel and it was left next door! So i went to check with them. Nothing. another week may have gone by (who knows how long, it took an age for anything to happen, they have my money though this whole time, obviously. No rush for them.) before they told me.. oh it's gone to the OTHER next door ^^ ... ok so checked with her; nothing. Their communication was so poor, and took a very long time - with a couple of excuses like "sorry for not responding to your email about a lost order, it's been 3 working week days but we're having some problems with our email server........?!" totally frustrating. Finally got out of them that it may have been turning into a police matter. By which point I had already ranted and raved at them to give me money back, cancel everything. I did the shop on amazon and got everything for LITERALLY about half the price, and it arrived in 3 days. How can a small website that specializes in packaging goods try to compete with a huge online retailer, with service like that? Needless to say it took another flaming age to get any contact out of them and nearly 2 MONTHS down the line - I still don't the my money. Seriously. Just...... what..??? 0_0 taking crazy pills here.

I'm now having to slowly and frustratingly chase them up about my refund.

They used to be called cardboardboxes or something like that... they got a load of awful reviews about that website as well, then changed their website to cartonsdirect. Changing the name did nothing to change their merchant conduct.

Here at cartonsdirect, we take your money and give you nothing in return! Want your money back? Yeah... as soon as we can be bothered, and get around to it..

I ordered from this company, Sept 2018..
A total ripoff, I purchased the Archive storage boxes, they are not fit for purpose, really flimsy. I called the company they said I would have to pay for returns plus a 20% fee.. not helpful at all.. I feel they are miss selling the product.

I have been buying from this company for 4 years and I find their product & service very good. Well done, keep up the good work and thank you!

As with the majority of the reviews below this company has taken our money and not delivered the goods they promised that they would deliver in 1 or two weeks, now 6 weeks in and after countless emails and calls falling on deff ears and no replies we will be proceeding with an MCOL claim. The Boss doesn't seem to have a care in the world for customer care or supplying the goods yet they are still answering the phones and taking orders.

Following up from my consistent phone calls regarding an unfulfilled order outstanding from February 2019, It's now August.

After months of chasing and countless promises to deliver they owe a refund for over half the order and are not responding
