Went to buy a cabin bed for my daughter. Paid for it to be told it would be delivered and fitted on a Saturday. Then got a phone call asking to drop the bed off during the week and they will fit it on a different day. Which I told them at the start it would be no good for me. A woman was talking to me and I could hear her manager in the background. Telling her to say things instead of talking to me man to man. What a joke. Then told me for a refund they will not put the money back in my account and for me to come and collect a cheque from them. Which I can not do as I work long hours during the week and now I have to wait for them to send the cheque in the post post. People do not use these. There’s better shops and company out there. Worst experience I ever had and been spoken too. And now I have to go and buy another bed for my daughter as we got rid of hers, Thanks for the worst service we ever had

Ive always tended to make this my first port of call for carpets - never again! A few years ago they supplied and fitted new carpets and underlay to my hall, lounge & dining room. I paid for carpet, underlay and carpet grippers including new door threshholds. I am now getting the hall tiled tomorrow with the dining room tiled the next day leaving the lounge carpet to be renewed early in the new year. I have just lifted the hall carpet to remove the carpet grippers - all in varying lengths up to 4" & 6" long, some only 1/2" long !. They had used up all their off cuts that should have been thrown away. Out of the 7 door thresh holds, 6 were not glued or pinned down - what a rip off. I am expecting a similar experience when the lounge & dining room carpets are lifted. This experience has now put me right off using Carpet Barn ever again.

I chose my new carpet in store among some samples on the shelves and paid a deposit. The estimate guy showed up and confirmed their staff would be able to move the wardrobes provided they were empty. I was charged extra money for moving the furniture and had to pay 100% of the price 3 weeks ahead of the fitting service. The shop sent 2 contractors who started the job and then said the wardrobe was too heavy. I called the shop and was replied the guy who had made an estimate had been wrong and that I could either fir the carpet around the wardrobe (!!?) or take off the sliding doors myself as the fitters were contractors and didn't accept any responsibility for any damage. The fitters left and the shop had got my money already so I had no choice but to find a third person to take off the doors! Of course my place was in a mess and I had to sleep on the floor that night as my bed was turned down and disassembled. Also, the colour was not the same as the one I had seen on the shelf, the guy I phoned up (he said he was a manager in the shop) insisted it was the one I had seen and hung up on me! The following day they sent a guy with a sample book and the colour matched the one on my floor, shame that I had never seen that sample book before as I had chosen from the shelves. They said the carpet is never the same as the samples, this one was very very different though! Awful experience, very poor customer service after the payment, now I understand the reason why they wanted 100% in advance. Never again. The contractors were nice though.

this is the second time I have bought from Carpet Barn- first time - a bed- very good and the salesman was very helpful
the second was vinyl fro the kitchen - arrived on time - the fitter was brilliant and although he found a small fault ( a couple of tiny holes) he was honest about it and rang the firm to arrange another roll and fitting the following week - again he did a brilliant job and I would recommend this firm and especially the fitter to all . thank you Carpet barn for all your help.

Carpet fitter didn't turn up on appointed day, Thursday. Called store and promised for next afternoon, Friday. Fitter didn't arrive again, called store and promised again for next day. Fitter finally turned up two days late, Saturday. Complained to store and they were apologetic but said they couldn't reduce price despite their incompetance. Finally got email from manager offering an undisclosed discount off our next purchase - as if we would use them again!

Carpets fitted to a superb standard however, we were only phoned the day before fitting two weeks after paying for the installation of 4 carpets that the carpet had not been delivered. This was an inconvenience as I had arranged time off work and cleared rooms. Installation postponed for two weeks but all carpets fitted on a Satuday.

Delivered and fitted as agreed however the fitter was one that was not able to shave the bottom of the doors and told us to contact carpet barn who would arrange for someone to trim the doors for us at a further cost. When we contacted the store they were entirely unhelpful and just gave us a number of someone who might be able to help. So far we have not been able to contact this person. Got a quote for our lounge but in view of the above we are unlikely to take it up

Salesman failed to tell me that the heavy mattress has to be turned weekly. I am a 72 year old female weighing 9st 4lbs and have back problems, hence an orthopaedic mattress. When I complained later that the mattress was sinking after sleeping on it he stated that I should take a photo and contact the manufacturer. This contradicts the Consumer Rights Act 2015, my contract is with the retailer not the manufacturer and he should know the rule. Whilst complaining he told me to ignore the weekly turning, this therefore contradicts the manufacturers warranty conditions. A bed salesman is supposed to be experienced when selling a bed, the days of dodgy salesmen I thought was now in the past. He refused to exchange the mattress but offered a discount on another mattress or not bother turning it!!! Why would I want 2 mattresses. The Barn Store has gone down in my books.

Once again a superb job, this time laying the bathroom floor, the fitter took his time despite the challenge of having to cut a around the bathroom suite and shower. Cannot praise him enough.
I look forward to getting the rest of the house carpeted/floored.

Again an excellent service from the store manager in helping choice the right product.

Verry helpful as they came out to measure, allowed me to take 50 odd samples home and the fitter was very pleasant. Have used twice and will use again.

I bought a display model Harrison's mattress. Just what I wanted. Had done my research. The salesman was very knowledgeable about different types of bed and about the quality. He did not push me into a purchase and he directed me to other options to make sure. I left to make my mind up and then did everything by phone same day. Mattress delivered 2 days later. Very good reduction too. Mattress perfect. (After long quest to find suitable replacement).

We’ve bought Karndean flooring, a chest of bedroom drawers, a bed and several headboards in the last 6 months. Carpet Barn staff know their products and give excellent advice. I would go so far as to say that they go one step further and are totally committed to their job. They have an excellent range of flooring and a good range of beds and bedroom furniture. The whole process of choosing, buying and delivery is seemless. Would not hesitate to recommend Carpet Barn and have done so already. The store will always be our first port of call. First class service throughout from Simon,always kept in the link. Nothing was to much trouble and Scott made a wonderful job of fitting our Axminster carpet which truly enhances our home. We are delighted with Carpet Barn and would recommend them

I would have awarded 5 stars but was not completely happy with one of the fitters approach and the tidying up. The actual end results are 5 star and the people at the depot were 5 star.
I suggest that it would be better for the fitters to wait to be asked if they want a cup of tea - I had already asked at the depot and was prepared. Actually it is more significant how they ask if they don't wait. I am happy to provide refreshments and even went out and bought milk and biscuits which I don't normally have in.
Nonetheless I would definitely use the service again and recommend to friends.
