I ordered products from this site July 2010, and I only received a small part of my order, I have called them 3 times to credit my balance to my credit card and they haven't yet. It makes me think they are going bankrupt and no one should order from them.

Placed order 3/3/11. Credit card charged 3/7/11. Cancelled order 3/28/11 due to non-delivery. Asked for refund. Placed calls and e-mailed. As of this date have not received refund. Filed complaint with Better Business Bureau. Vendor did not respond and BBB closed their file.

I placed an order with them On Dec.2010 and than cancelled my order and was told I would they would credit my American Express card. I placed another order on Jan.2011 and after several months of them giving me excuses for delays I told them to cancel my order and credit my card. I have called and left several messages and no one returns phone calls. I was told one time from a supervisor that they would send me a refund check. Well, I'm still waiting for my check. Don't do business with this company. I want every one to know what a scam they are.

I ordered from them in October 2018. I received a phone call from a customer service person who was actually very nice and informative. She said that due to some warehouse issues it might take a few extra weeks and then I would receive a shipping confirmation. It is now three months later and I have not received my product after being charged for it. I tried to email the customer service woman who called me and the response that was sent back to me said their email does not exist. I emailed the customer service department through their website and have not received any response. Do not order from this company because they are inconsistent and will charge you money without sending you your ordered products.

I placed an order Sep 30, 2010 for $132.75. The full amount was charged immediately to my credit card, but I only received a $5 item from the order. I called to inquire about the remaining products and was told they were on back-order due to lack of vendor with appropriate materials and it would be about a month. I accepted this wait and called again only to be told the same story. Finally I asked for a refund and as of Aug 26, 2011, I still have not received it. I was told my credit card could not be refunded then the check would be mailed within a few weeks. I have made 29 phone calls attempting to get resolution from Taylor Clark as Customer Service Supervisor, Sheila Williams as Call Center Supervisor, and Stephen Johnson as Assistant to President. I was refused connection to Gabe Bristol as President, as well as, Accounting Department. I understand FTC’s mail order rule allows 30-day shipment of product and if not available then credit issued to bank card within one billing cycle. Century Photo has far exceeded these time limits in violating the rule. If the product I ordered is available, I would like to receive it; however, if it is not available then I expect an immediate refund. My family and I have used the company since the 1980's with great satisfaction until this occurrence. It is a shame.

I ordered presents for Christmas in October. I was told that they were 3 weeks out. I asked specifically if I would be able to get the items in time for Christmas. I e-mailed them again the week of December the 10th, after still not receiving shipping confirmation. The reply indicated that they would be shipping at the end of the week or early this week. I e-mail again to check and was informed they would not be shipping prior to the holiday. What a huge runaround. I would have just ordered something else from another company. But now, a week before Christmas I have to scramble to find replacement gifts. Absolutely awful.

I ordered a product on Nov. 11, had an email on Nov. 5 that I would receive it in 7 to 10 business days. Needless to say, I still have not received on Jan. 16, in spite of my card being charged on Dec. 19.

I have about twenty binders full of photos in their pages. Like many others, I loved their products in the mid-90s. And they were very dependable. I ordered some late last year, and I finally got them but it was WAY after I needed them. I placed an order on March 12, 2019. Still waiting. can't get a person on the phone. Going to get what I need elsewhere. It's a classic example of how to screw up a good business. Too bad.

I too wish I had read customer reviews before ordering, but since I have been a customer of Century for nearly twenty years, and had always been very pleased with their service, it did not occur to me. I had not ordered from them in a few years, and placed an order for over $100- on April 20. My card was charged a couple of days later. On May 12, I called to find out where my order was. After nearly an hour of waiting, being cut off, and waiting some more, I spoke to a representative who was singularly the rudest phone rep. I have encountered. (By the way, their "automated call back system" does not work, so don't waste your time.) I was told the albums are back-ordered and would arrive in 4-8 weeks. Subsequent phone calls yielded unfulfilled promises of emails and return phone calls. Supervisors are not available, and their voice mail boxes are full, so a message can not be left. Today, (June 14), I called again and was told the albums would be ready for shipment in four to six weeks. THEN, I looked for customer reviews. After reading the reviews, I called Century back and canceled the order. I was told that I would get a refund check in the mail in about three weeks. (No, they don't put the money back on the credit card they charged.) I am keeping my fingers crossed. I am disappointed that a company that once was so good is now the worst I have encountered. I wonder if ANYONE has received an order placed with Century Photo.

I placed an order in May 2010. It's November. Still waiting. They said they'd run out of material for archival photo pages and were looking for a new vendor. However, the FTC requires a seller to ship within 30 days or notify the purchaser and provide the option to wait or receive a refund. In violation of this requirement, Century Photo did neither. I called back monthly and was told each time "4 - 6 weeks." Each time, I asked why they still hadn't updated their website to inform purchasers of the backorders, and for six months was told "we're looking at updating the website." So they have accepted hundreds or thousands of orders without informing people they had no product! A week ago, I called to cancel and get a refund. And guess what . . . I'm still waiting on the refund.

I sent in an order in July of 2018. It's now mid December and I have not gotten anything but an order confirmation. I have called and e-mailed multiple times, with no response. I'm starting to wonder if they are no longer in business? I've been waiting way too long and will be cancelling my order and reporting them to the BBB.
I don't have an invoice number as I've never received anything, so I'll include my order No.

A similar story to other reviewers...
My Nov. 30,2010 order charged immediately to my credit card, but nothing delivered. Called and was told that items are on backorder and would not be received for a 45 days. I called after 45 days and was told the items were further delayed for a month or more.I cancelled the order and was promised a refund on my credit card. No credit as been issued as of today (4/6/11). Multiple calls to them produced a response that (a) customer service being relocated to Florida and refunds should now be forthcoming, or (b) we don't know what's going on but we'll check into it and get back to you." Of course, they never get back to me.

I also made a purchase in November of 2010 and haven't received any of my merchandise. Every time I called they would say 6 more weeks. Eventually they stopped taking phone calls...you could call and get a voice message or you could send an email. They don't respond to emails. I just tried again to call and their phone number isn't even in service anymore. I didn't think twice about ordering from them...when my kids were little I ordered from them regularly. Each child had a personalized photo album set. When one got filled we ordered another. Last year I wanted to start the tradition with my first grand child. Guess that won't be happening. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND THEN IGNORE YOU. (PS: I only gave them one star because you have to. They deserve no stars.)

On January 16 I ordered a pack of photo pages, and when the order didn't arrive in the time frame given, I called and left messages which were never returned. I emailed and still no reply. On the final call I finally spoke to a woman who told me that their Fedex account had been suspended (red flag!) and the order would be shipped on "Friday" and I would receive a notice with a tracking number. The notice never arrived and neither did the order.

When I asked why my calls and email hadn't been answered, the woman replied that "we bought the company out of bankruptcy, and I'm the only one here taking care of things." That's when I looked for reviews and found this site.

I purchased from this company years ago many times with no problems. Their photo pages were high quality, but I'll never order from these scam artists again. Called my credit card company and filed a dispute due to non delivery of product. They gave me a credit right away.

I placed an order for photo covers on 8/10/19. Website said expected delivery was 4-5 business days. 4 more days if out of stock. I received an email immediately confirming my order with number etc. It is now 10/5/19 and no order received! I have called Century multiple times with no answer...ever! Phone goes to voice message every time. I faxed them 3 times...no response. Emailed twice...no response. This company has simply disappeared! I swear there are no humans there! I even wrote a letter to the company and still no response. I wonder if they are even still in business? I used to order from this company years ago with no problems. I wish I had read these reviews before I placed an order!!

I ordered photo sheets almost 2 months ago. Since that time, I have left several phone messages and sent several emails. FINALLY, someone answered their phone, and told me that these were not in stock and she didn’t know when they would be. I told her that I will look for them elsewhere, and she hung up on me.

From our experience this can indicate that the business is either not actively engaged with online communication or is new and growing. We have discovered that this business has SSL (secure sockets layer), which means that this business handles your data, such as personal information or credit card details, with secure connection.
