CESA Languages

My daughter enjoyed her teenage week booked through CESA and would have happily stayed for more lessons. She is keen to return although we've learnt some lessons and would approach the course differently another time.
However, our feedback is mixed.
The language school was good, although half of the lessons weren't at a satisfactory level and so my daughter didn't learn as much as I'd have hoped (she was only there one week). CESA staff were very helpful during the week liaising with the language school to try to rectify this.
We'd been told that she'd learn a lot more french staying with a family rather than in a residence. This proved not to be the case at all. My daughter was very much treated like a lodger in the house. The students were fed separately and were then expected to go to their bedrooms. Conversely the friends she'd made who stayed in the residence had activities laid on in the evening (even if only a movie) and she felt like they had more opportunity to practice the language.
Whilst she was away CESA responsiveness was great - however despite sending her detailed feedback immediately upon her return over 2 weeks ago, CESA have not responded.
It was an expensive week for the benefit that we got and our aims in committing to the course weren't necessarily met.
Another learning point which may be of interest is that when she was there, she was rare only going for one week - apparently it's much more common to so a 2 week stint.

The only bad thing about my week in Biarritz was that I couldn't stay longer!

I was nervous about staying in a host family but my host was friendly, helpful and great company- I hope to keep in touch.

The school was excellent- you are put into a class which is both at the best level for your knowledge and the classes are challenging but conducted in a fun and engaging way. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly.

I was only doing morning classes so had the afternoons free for surf lessons and exploring the town with my classmates. There was plenty to keep us entertained- with 3 different festivals in the area in the one week!

I would recommend this activity to anybody keen to refresh or improve your French while also having a wonderful holiday in a beautiful part of Europe. I hope to go back again for a longer stay soon!

I have used CESA languages abroad for two yearsin a row. They evaluate and represent a number of learning locations in France. When I called, I recieved very personalized service from a representative who knew the programs well and could guide my decision making . As an adult learner, learning for personal enrichment in retirement, I wanted a learning location that was suitable and not designed more for young adult learners. Also, CESA represented me throughout the host family housing process to be sure my special needs were met.

Excellent initial contact with CESA who reassured me that they could deal with the more mature (50+) student, as indeed they could. Two very good instructors gave me individual German tuition.

The office communication with me was good, the small class size was as promised and this allowed our first teacher to quickly get to appreciate our individual level and learning style. My host family were a very good fit for me and their accommodation was of a high standard.

I think that I have already remarked on the effect of the initial test and the sudden change of teacher.

My 3 months in Antibes was my first time being away from home therefore I was a little nervous. However as soon as I had booked my trip I was called in the next couple of days to clarify things. I thought this was very professional and made it feel much more personal. Over the next few months i had many questions to ask, and was always responded to within 24 hours. The thing that stood out to me the most was that CESA emailed when I arrived in Antibes to make sure everything was going well. I found this to be very good customer service. I will definitely use CESA languages during my years at university where I now want to study Italian.

I was using Cesa's services three times, the communication was wasy, whenever I had a problem, they helped in short period.

When I went to Seville in October, 2016 it was the fourth time I had used the services of CESA. I have always found them to be friendly, helpful and efficient. The first time I used their services they gave good advice on which course might suit me and arranged transport from the airport to my accommodation. When I booked a subsequent year they remembered me which was great.

Only did one week and wished i had booked for longer! Found the emmersive approach really helpful and am very glad i chose the residence! The week was so much fun and would definitely recommend this to others!!

I was nervous before my experience as I know that French teachers have a reputation for being rigid and not allowing mistakes within their classroom. However this could not have been more different from my experience. I have never in all my life had teachers who offered such kindness, understanding and patience. They really helped me with my grammar. Everyone was so welcoming!

I was placed in exactly the right class, even though I knew I would be difficult to place because of my uneven levels in the four skills. The teachers were brilliant and I enjoyed every moment. I met some lovely fellow students in my class.

Katherine and her team took a lot of trouble to find me a suitable school and accommodation early this year. The school turned out to be very good, the teachers very dedicated and knowledgeable. The "extras" such as films and excursions were excellent.

I was a complete beginner with no former German training and signed up for the intensive German course. I was able to follow along / keep up and learned a TON during this completely immersive experience - class taught exclusively in German. Instructors were top notch, encouraged active participation from the start, responsive to our questions, and dedicated to the program. Would highly recommend for those looking for fast paced instruction and learning.

My three children Rosie, Aobh and Mike had a wonderful time in Biarritz, learned some french and made new friends. They enjoyed the structured, well-organised language school and the many activities and have many great memories. Thanks very much, Uinsionn Mac Dubhghaill

I have booked language course packages through CESA Languages for the last 2 years and certainly will again. I’m extremely happy with the service provided by the company and highly recommend them. The team are exceptionally helpful, quick to respond and always happy to talk through different options, some you may not have considered, to ensure you get the best experience possible

Really enjoyed our experience learning French in the heart of Paris. Very good teachers and very patient.

Nice teacher , shame about the appalling class members and the spot one size fits all teaching style. Clearly not aware of the humiliation of laughing when any answer wrong and nasty comments. Confidence destroying awful experience over all. Really put me off learning languages.

I so enjoyed my two weeks in Tarriffa on the CESA language course . The staff were very supportive and the classroom work stretched my Spanish skills .
I loved the outdoor activities being so close to nature was a wonderful opportumity .

Managed to find me a course and accommodation at the last minute in Madrid.

Fantastic chance to learn french right in the heart of the french world. Everything went smooth, my accommodation was exactly what I expected, and the course was intense and flexible.
