We moved a 3 bedroom house from Melbourne to Brazil (Santa Catarina) using Conroy. It was a long shipment (no surprises here) and we were innitially concerned... the packing was done professionally, and they did use a lot of wrapping paper, which was essential to keep all goods intact... All boxes arrived safely, with very little damage to the cardboard only on a few boxes... ALL goods were delivered with NO damage whatsoever, for our relief.

Would certainly recommend their services to anyone (they were really competitive too!).

My move from Auckland to Melbourne wasn't the biggest, mostly some guitars and brass instruments as i am a musician. I couldn't be there for the move so Conroys came and packed everything for me. They did this extremely well. All the fragile instruments were taken care of and arrived safe and sound. All up the move took a little over a month, which was fine as i chose the general shipping container option. Conroys always updated me along the way to let me know what was happening with my items, and were very helpful with the customs process.

Moved apartment from Singapore to Sydney. All items packed beautifully, and quickly. Fast transit. Sensational follow up phone service. We had a second shipment sent from Copenhagen with another rival company - awful, a disaster. The European partner went broke, so our goods were withheld. So get this - CONROY phoned the other company and sorted it all out for us - FOR FREE!!! They said this other company put the entire industry in a bad light. Have you ever heard of a company fixing their competition for you? Incredible. Amazing. Awesome company.

Conroys were the receiving agent in Australia - the information flow from them has been first class keeping us advised at all times of what was happening with customers clearance etc and when the goods were likely to be delivered. Delivery team arrived. Very friendly helpful guys. Could not have been happier with the service. Both companies were first rate and very competitively priced. No breakages and no issues at all. I have read lots of issues with people complaining about the timing - it took 4 weeks to ship to Aust and 4 weeks to clear customs. This is not influenced by the removalists so need to be patient

We moved a 20ft cubic container from South Africa. Conroy handled the move from Sydney to Nowra. We got excellent feedback on the progress. After the release from quarantine, Conroy moved our furniture immediately to Nowra. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The delivery guys was very well mannered and helpful. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

We used Conroys for our move from Melbourne, Oz to Taupo, NZ and found the experience very easy. Although we paid for full packing service, we wanted to prepack some boxes ourselves. A pile of different size boxes, tape and paper were delivered many weeks before the service which was very helpful. All sales team and office staff, both in Australia and NZ were professional, friendly and very helpful in such a stressing time for us.

I have moved to three continents in 25 years, and when I moved from Kandel, Pfalz, Germany, to Geelong, Victoria, Australia, I dreaded the move of my furniture again. The German ITO guys were fantastic, they carefully packed all my belongings till late in the night. When my furniture arrived in Melbourne, I had no idea that their service could be topped, but Conroy proved me wrong. Chris & his friendly Kiwi colleague was punctual, professional, friendly & very helpful. I was very pleasantly surprised and I would certainly make use of Conroy again. They even offered to pick up any packing materials free of charge if I wish to get rid of it later. Thank you very much for the fantastic service!

Moved from South Africa to Gold Coast, Australia. Steers African loaded our container in SA and Conroy Removals did the rest. We were always kept up to date with the container arrival time and all our queries were answered speedily. They handled customs requests for us and everything just went very smoothly. Brilliant service. The container arrived on the exact date as planned. The container went through customs without trouble and everything has been delivered to the door. Will definitively use the service again. Compared with our first shipment in 2007 which was a disaster, this one was just brilliant.

We chose Conroy Removals on a personal recommendation from friend who moved with them from Sydney to England. We moved the contents of a large 3-bedroom apartment from Sydney to London. To complicate matters we also shipped our car in the same container. The team arrived on time in Sydney and packed everything very carefully, including a quantity of fragile antique glasses. They worked non-stop all day and without a break. When the container arrived in London on time everything was there without a single item being damaged. All of the cartons were marked with the contents and which room they came from, making unpacking much easier. I cannot praise the whole team highly enough from the start to the finish. The icing on the case for us was that their quotation was the most competitive too! The best removal company we have ever used.

I moved half a container from Sydney to Christchurch. Conroy were so patient while I sorted stuff out and waited till I could aford to shift the stuff. There was no pressure but the most fantastic customer service. Kim from Sydney was super amazing in all correspondence and rates were great. We moved a small, two bedroom apartment from Sydney to the USA. The pack out was great, and we paid a premium for door-to-door shipment. We paid well over $12,500 for having our shipment packed in a container and having that container delivered to us. En route, we had to change delivery address. Paid another $2,000 for this. Then we were told by the local company that they needed to unload our container and put it on shuttles because we live in the mountains. They wanted another $260 USD. I asked Conroy to pay for this because we paid for door to door and are not getting it. They said NO, that we have to pay it because we weren’t available the first day the shipment could be delivered. We had never heard that before. When I questioned that they said well it’s bcause of where you live. They will get every extra penny they can from you. Hold on to your wallet if you use Conroy for international household moves.

Recently I relocated from the Netherlands to Australia. Packing and shipping of my furniture in the Netherlands was done by Hazeleger, who did an excellent job. Unfortunately I can't say the same about Conroy, who took care of the delivery in Australia. Unlike Hazeleger, Conroy appeared to be more interested in money than in customer satisfaction. I will definitely avoid them in the future.

When they contacted me to plan for the delivery, they asked me to confirm the access to my address, as they'd had a look on Google and found it to be not visible from street level. I confirmed there were two stairs from street level down to the house.

On the day of delivery, the truck arrived with two guys, who started carrying the boxes down the stairs into the house, and my wife and I helped out inside the house. After about half the load was delivered, the guys suddenly stopped coming back from the truck.

I got a phone call from the Conroy office, telling me this delivery could not be completed for the standard fee because of all the stairs, and I first had to pay an extra 375 AUD to complete the job that day. When I asked them why, they said I had informed them there were only two stairs, but now they found these were actually flights of stairs, so it was a lot more work than they had anticipated.

Really? When you find on Google that a house is not visible from street level, and you are told there are two stairs down to the house, you interpret that as being two steps only? Of course these were flights of stairs. Even a child would have understood.

Very poor planning by the office and a very unprofessional attitude to pressurize customers halfway during a delivery to pay for it. But they clearly had no intention to continue unless I paid. After 15 minutes or so they called again, asking whether I had already made the payment. I had no choice.

Once I had satisfied their greed, they called in a third guy and completed the delivery fairly quickly. That is to say, almost. One box was missing. But it was ticked on the checklist from the office, meaning it had been in their store before delivery.

In answer to my question when I could expect the delivery of that final box, they informed me a follow-up store search had turned out negative, and they suggested me to contact my agent in the Netherlands to process an insurance claim. In other words: not our problem, goodbye.

When I hire a company, I not only expect them to do their job professionally and make me happy as a customer, but also to take responsibility if they make mistakes, and help me solve the problem. Conroy failed in both regards.

We moved a 20' container from Charleston, SC to Melbourne. Our experience with Conroy Removals was a great one. The ladies in the office kept us informed at every turn and were very responsive... The guys who unloaded our furniture were AWESOME! Fast, careful and friendly. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again!

These people are just awesome- I read some of their older reviews on here and they obviously listen to feedback as I cannot find any faults :) I moved from Melbourne to New Zealand in 2016 and was so pleased with the ease of dealing with them that I choose to use them when I moved back to Melbourne two years later. Great staff, awesome communication (although the online stuff gets me, but hey you get used to it) and the removal guys are so professional, kind and helpful. I have moved several times and used others and had awful experiences but will never use anyone else from now on :). Price wise I find them very fair and paying less can sometimes cost you more in the long run.

We moved from South Africa to Brisbane and had a large container with our household goods. We were very impressed at how quickly the container cleared customs and was sorted out in quarantine. We had constant updates throughout the process. The team that delivered our container were professional and friendly. Thank you to everyone who made our move much easier. Highly recommended should you need to move!

I had a 1-bedroom apartment move from California, USA to Melbourne. I moved overseas before, and this was by far the best moving experience I had. Conroy Removals have fantastic customer service, they were very helpful with all the paperwork and customs. They said they will bring the delivery at 11:30 AM, and they were at our door right on time. We didn't have any damages, no extra costs. I am very satisfied with their service, and I highly recommend them.

I only moved four boxes back to the U.K. from Perth W.A but found them to be very reasonably priced.
Any questions I had were answered promptly and I felt confident with the whole process.
Will use again if I need to.
