Timeline:
05/01 Applied to Credibly and other lenders
05/04 Approved by Ondeck but they told me I got SBA loan already, they can not submit for me. Later night, Received Etran number from Credibly. Later figure out it was approved by SBA on 05/04/2020 and the lender is Celtic Bank. Credibly require more documents. Sent all docs with excel files same date.
05/08 around: Received email from credibly mentioned watch on Liberty Bank
05/09. Received a Saturday Morning email said they were working on the PPP.
05/10. Received 2nd email request more documents and uploaded on 05/11
05/14 Received email from Libery SBF said they were assisting the loan behalf on Celtic Bank.
05/16 Received Promisory Note and signed
05/19 Funded
I want to say the whole process is full of frustrate and I can not sleep many nights. I believe Credibly have to provide more communications even a email per 3- 5 days sent by system, and let us know we are still being taken care. Everybody worry about the funds go out and very very care about the updates. And also, the way of got loan number first and underwriting later by Credibly get so much much confused.
I applied PPP to many lenders, but only Ondeck have really person contact me one by one, Kabbage, Bluevine and Boefly all pending and no response till now. Lendio transferred my case to Bluevine after review. Chase declined my application within 10 minutes after submit docs. My point is every lenders are busy now and don't expect too much from them. Anyway, I will give Credibly 5 star in order to help their rating.
Good Luck for anybody who is waiting PPP here. Just give those folks more time and you will get positive result.
The process was not, necessarily, efficient and without moments of anxiety; however, I must temper that with how the overall process worked from beginning to end.
I, first, applied with my personal financial institution, CHASE, including doing so during the "First Round" of the program; however, it was not submitted and/or approved. After receiving notification from CHASE that it may be in my company's best interest, through the "Second Round," to apply through additional lenders, I chose Credibly.
I submitted a PPP application, through Credibly, on April 24, 2020. I received emails on April 27th, April 29th and April 30th. The April 30th indicated Credibly had received a batch of loan numbers. After waiting several more days, I communicated with Jeffrey via the "Chat" on May 5th wherein he stated that Credibly received a second batch of numbers and I would be receiving an email soon.
I, finally, did receive confirmation; however, this was the beginning of times, during this process, especially, after I received that e-TRAN No. from Credibly on May 5th (...might have been part of "batch" of loan numbers received by Credibly on April 30th), the enthusiam I enjoyed at the quick turnaround from application to approved SBA loan turned to regret for my application from CHASE not having been approved first, then, subsequently, denied because my Credibly application was approved first.
The anxiety I was feeling was in regards to trusting the ensuing "chain" of organizations...Credibly to Liberty SBF to Celtic Bank...to follow through with regards to vetting requesting documents, then funding when the only entity I "knew" was Credibly. No matter, I submitted my documents, including the EXCEL document, as instructed on May 6th.
Emails on May 7th and May 9th from Credibly indicated that everything was fine until Sunday, May 10, 2020 when I received an email from Credibly. This particular email stated the "lender" (...again who... Credibly, Liberty SBF or Celtic?) has determined that my application package was incorrect or incomplete for one or more reasons. The reasons were lack of 2019 Business Tax Returns, 941 Quarterlies, 940 Annual, W3 and any 2 months of 2019 business bank statements.
I was livid and wrote as much in the Credibly Chat on May 10th. To the credit of Credibly's staff, Mr. Jeffrey Bumbales emailed me, personally, at 10:58 PM on Sunday, May 10th and, actually, responded to my reply as well. He explained the situation and difficult work that was being accomplished by the Credibly staff to navigate what is, truly, a fluid situation with regards to legislation, guidance and documentation being sought. He guided me with what I needed to submit and/or resubmit. I did so.
Now, I was in the process with Liberty SBF. On May 13th, I received an email from Liberty SBF about how they will be assisting Credibly with processing my loan application and that a processor will reach out to me.
Over the course of two days, I worked with Karyn Simmons of Liberty SBF through the review process of my documents. Initially, on the 13th, the holdup was me having to resubmit my company's Certification of Formation and SS4. Then, on the 14th, to Liberty SBF's credit, I was made aware that I had left out information regarding affiliates of mine with regards to a 2nd company of which I am part owner. I was instructed to correctly complete and resubmit the Credibly EXCEL document as well as submit formation documents and SS4 for may other company. I did so.
Immediately afterwards, my application was escalated to closing. On a side note, Ms. Simmons stated how the learning curve for 100+ reviewers, including her, who had just been hired to vet the documents has been steep.
From 7:53 PM on May 14th to 8:29 PM, Leah Weiss of Liberty SBF completed DocuSign process to close my loan.
Thank you to Credibly and All!
It's been 14 days since my E-tran generated approval and seven days since Liberty SBF loan underwriter Rebecca Giordano approved and sent my completed file for funding, and yet I have not received the funds, nor any response to my attempted communications with everyone involved including rebecca, that since she emailed me a week ago that my file was "all done and sent to funding" Rebecca no longer answers me.
I am about to be forced to shut down my business because I no longer have the funds to keep going, yet SBA funds are approved and Un-disbursed because you guys do not finalize my application that has been processed, approved and just in need of funding?
I found your info at TrustPilot where many people are communicating for together open a lawsuit against you guys. I honestly hope that is not what it takes.
Can you please look at my cry for help? I am desperate, I need those funds next day or I will have to shut down my business.
PLEASE HELP ME!
Still in the credibly/liberty/Celtic limbo. No responses from anyone. So frustrating! I just want to know where I stand. Countless other people getting approved through other places but I am now stuck. I put my faith and trust in credibly... still praying for a miracle
I too received an email from Credibility on Sat May 3rd, staying that I received my etran number and that I would be hearing from Liberity for processing my loan. On May 9th I received an email from credibility stating to look out for emails from Liberty. About 30 minutes later, I received an email from Liberty stating they are handling the processing of my PPP loan and that if any docs are needed they will contact me. About an hour after that, I got an email from Alicia, my processor requesting 1 document that I was missing...my payroll sheet. I sent that to her immediately and she responded right back stating she received it! Here it is, Thursday May 14th, 11 days after I received my etran number, and I haven’t heard from anyone! I have emailed Alicia my processor twice to find out the status of my loan and she’s now not returning any of my emails! I’m lost for words! So, I completed all the requirements, they have all my docs, I got my etran number and now nothing!!!! I can’t figure out how to get ahold of anyone! All I want to know is where do I stand in line for funding. My processor told me I would go to funding once she got that form. I sent it, she confirmed she got it 5 days ago, and I’ve heard nothing since!
Credibility or a Liberty, can you please update me?
Frustrated and worried
Update pt 2: Funds in our account today, great job Credibly!!
Update: Yesterday, Liberty messaged us that they were missing some 941s and asked us to zip file them to Liberty. We did by noonish. By end of day, we had the promissory note from Celtic Bank with a message we would be funded in a day or two. Will update once funding occurs.
We submitted a PPP app with Credibly because I've professionally known the people over there for years. Credibly is a real company with a stellar reputation in the financial services space. This crisis has everyone in the financing space in a whirlwind. The folks at Credibly are working 18 hours a day in an attempt to meet the demand around the PPP. I know it's tough some times to be patient, especially with money on the line but as far as the PPP, Credibly is at the mercy of the bank and the government as to what happens next. We got our Etran number about 9 calendar days ago and are hopeful the note will be coming through soon. I am putting my faith that Credibly has done their job well given my professional experience with them in the financial services space and their track record of doing things the right way. FYI-Credibly does not make much money on this program and has no incentive to just process apps without them funding as knowing the space, they make a small percentage on each app so it is a volume play, meaning they are very incented to get the most done they can. Please don't punish them because you are not getting responses from a 3rd Party that they do not control at all. Credibly is the processor NOT the bank in these transactions. I assure you, if they were the bank the communication would be spectacular as they are the bank in other financial products they offer and again have a great reputation. In the meantime, please be patient with Credibly as it is not their decision if/when/how the funds get to you. I will update when we receive the promissory note.
So between the BS From each of the credibly staff that I’ve spoken to and then Liberty financial sending me an email telling me pretty much not to email them anymore because they have nothing to do with it and then I believed Jeffrey when he said that he would rectify the situation and make it right only to stormy even longer because of their misappropriation of funds lying to the SBA that they are funding people went over 500 people have signed a petition for fraud against you. All the recorded phone calls text messages and emails are being submitted over to my attorney’s office sense now Jeffrey wants to act like he doesn’t see me calling when I have him on a recorded line just yesterday. You guys lock people out of PPP funding by claiming their numbers and telling the SBA that you funded them when you did not which is completely and entirely misappropriation of funding and theft. Do you have like constantly not only to me but my associates as well regarding where our funds are, And continue to play your bs game with people and just to make everybody aware Jeffrey is there a little scapegoat and will string you along to the fullest lying to you that everything is being handled when it’s not anybody’s interested in hearing my phone calls I’ll be more than happy to send them over via email they will also be posted on Facebook so that everybody can know credibly and what an incredible company they are, I have already reached out to the SBA and reached out to the inspector general so that they can follow the paper trail and find out where the stolen funds are. My attorney will be in contact
Still not funded however the respect as a human and to have someone reach out to actually see my point of view has changed my opinion slightly on credibly. Jeffrey Bumbales you have made me a little bit more less stressed that this will be handled but your one guy in a team of misfits don’t let it rest all on your shoulders a team effort is just that. Thank you and I hope this turnS around.

I wish I read reviews literally every thing written is exactly what they are doing. I’ve carried it to the inspector general of the SBA and to the Supreme Court at this point. They are stealing PPP funds and I’m going to sue the crud out of them. The info I sent now liberty “bank” has blank documents. Well guess what credibly be prepared scumbags! BUYER BEWARE DO NOT GIVE THIS SCAM COMPANY YOUR INFORMATION!
Can anyone from Credibly please help me with an update on my loan??
It's now been 12 days since SBA approval. After my last update I received a response from Jeffrey from Credibly and we even spoke on the phone. That gave me a little peace. He wanted me to be sure to update him the next day which I tired to do all day without response or acknowledgement. Now I feel the worry all over again, like the rug was once again ripped out from underneath me. I'll be first in line to whichever Class Action pops up unless I see the funding by Monday. If I can make it that long with the last $4 to my name. Thanks Credibly, cause of you I might be living under a bridge begging for food come next week.
Update: Liberty SBF is underwriting their loans for them after they were approved, which is unheard of and possibly illegal. Then Celtic is gonna fund the loans but I'm on day 8 of waiting and still haven't heard anything other than a third request for documents after approval.
2 days left if they want any fees for processing the loan and if they don't want me to file formal complaints with the BBB,the SBA and a class action lawsuit for fraud and misleading and false claims. Stay AWAY. Applied and was approved for a PPP loan. Like everyone else they asked for more documents and haven’t heard from them since. I chatted with them yesterday and was told multiple lies. This company is buying for time cause THEY DONT HAVE THE FUNDS. It’s why they’re trying to get other banks to partner with them. They’re fraudulent scammers and a large group online is filing a class action lawsuit against them.

The bottom line is, they are overextended and it is just taking additional time. If they say two days, it's five. But they will fund. It's been a roller coaster ride and very frustrating, but I am now finished.
