Devitt Insurance

i have tried to get in touch on a few occasions to add bike to policy put on hold for up to 30 minutes twice they must not want business

I have recently passed my CBT for commuting to work and Devitt was a no brainer when it came to insuring my 125cc bike. The price was respectable and gave the best cover I could have asked for. Thanks Devitt!

I dont even own a vehicle a friend asked me to pay first payment threw my card an nowthey do they did there own s.o for 176.00with out my permission there a joke going to complain

I was with A Quote insurance who were really good however they advised that all their customers were moving over to Devitt. I got a letter from Devitt advising of this and that nothing had changed however after calling them for something else I found out my excess had gone from £200 with A Quote to £700 with Devitt! There was no reason or explanation for this very sneaky and underhand alteration and it was not very open and honest! Luckily I found out before I need to make a claim so I am I the process of changing insurers. Also just prior to this I went on line for some quotes, Devitt were charging me £700+ for an insurance policy where others were charging £200! I queried this and why they were charging me £700+ when others were charging £200 for the same benefits etc (in fact a lot less excess) and they couldn't give me an answer other than to say they could do a better deal and reduce it from £700+ to £500. This is still more than double the other insurance quotes and lets be frank if they could do it for £500 in the first place why were they quoting me £700+ as a supposedly valuable existing customer!

Been with Devitt for years.Hassle free,they contact you every year prior to renewel.They are only insurance I have ever had that go cheaper or stay same five star.

I have renewed with Devitt Insurance for the last few years and I have always found them competitive and very easy to deal with. They have UK Call Centres and the Staff are efficient and helpful. Telephones are answered promptly and I am always pleased with the assistance I receive.

absolutely the worst....my son had his bike insurance with this sad excuse of a company had his bike stolen so cancelled his insurance they then enter my account illegally and stole £269.50 from my account (am not the policy holder..dont deal with them...

Absolutely crap spend 2 hours trying to call them and no one would speak to me over priced and rubbish customer service

i cancelled my policy because i had lost my job and was told that ihad to pay £105 for cancelling it but the premium for the year was only £96 and the policy had been running for 3 months rip off bastards

I have been with Devitt 25 odd years. Its not like me to stay with an insurer, as I change them regularly for the car and house, because there prices for new customers are always much, much, lower than the loyal ones. The mugs! I'm simply not prepared to barter with them for reductions. Devitt have always given a competitive price, they are easy to use and always helpful. I have no hesitation recommending them.

After finding out that Devitt had taken over the motorcycle insurance division of the insurtbroker I'd been using for twenty odd years I was a little concerned. However, the Devitt staff that I spoke to regarding my renewals were exceptional. They were very courteous, professional and actually saved me money for me by putting both of my bikes onto one policy.

Easy to deal with - sorting a new policy took less than 15 minutes! Polite friendly staff that were clearly 'happy to help'! Bigger brokers should take a leaf out of their book!!

Was put in touch with Devitt by my previous insurer as they no longer where doing motorcycle cover. The person who answered the phone for Devitt was friendly courteous and helpful, my policy was quickly sorted to my satisfaction and reasonablely priced , a good service I would recommend them

I got a quote from Devitt through a well known comparison website, they were the cheapest and were competitive for things like excess and other possible extras. Uploading my documents was easy and in all a very smooth transaction.

Being told that the queue for an assistant is so long that I would need to book a call for the following day. On calling the following day at 8.30am opening time, it still took 10 minutes for call to be answered. Clearly under-resourced.
