Worst moving experience from Sydney to Darwin. They will not give you update on the shipment status unless you call and chase them. They will only call you when they are asking for money. My items arrived late, and basically you cannot request to get them earlier. So I ended up paying more by renting white goods from radio rentals while waiting for my stuff to arrive. When my stuff arrived, my wooden dining table was damaged due to the Water leak as well as my clothes in the box we're all wet, and they claimed their truck is fully covered and dry. Very irresponsible, no compensation, and not to mention cracks on my tallboy and scratches on my dining table. Unless you enjoy stress I won't recommend this removalist.

I was due for a pick up in Canberra between Thursday and Saturday. I was told I would get a call the evening before pick up to let me know a 4 hour window. I called on Thursday evening at 5:30 for an update on when I could expect them. I was told by [name removed] I was due for pick up on Friday and the driver would call when he was a couple of hours away...no call/no show. I called again Friday night to which I got an answer along the lines of 'we will get there when we get there, it might be Saturday, maybe Sunday' I enquired as to when that would mean I expect drop off in Melbourne and he said he had no idea. I explained that if it was a week day I would need to arrange time off work and being 5:30pm on Friday wasnt leaving me much time'. [name removed] response was that I was being difficult, he couldn't be [censored word removed] with my booking and he was canceling before hanging up on me. Long story short they told me on 3 different occasions when they were coming that saw me cancel plans and take time off work. On the first two occasions they never showed and never bothered to call. I tried to reach some resolution via the Backloading Company but was told that my stuff had made it from A to B so she didn't know why I was complaining.
Please save yourself the stress of dealing with these shonksters, they are rude, completely unprofessional and believe the world revolves around them and their schedule.

Everything!! Bunch of hillbillies that have zero care factor or customer service

I recently used DLM Removals. The company I booked my load with must have contracted DLM. I first paid a deposit so I can booked the date for collection of my goods where they can only take the goods if the balance is paid upon collection of the goods. There were no fault in their delivery, but after the goods arrived in its destination, DLM emailed me to pay the Balance!!
I asked them how did they picked up and deliver the goods it was not paid for? I am waiting to hear from them as I will be seeking legal advise if this company wants me to double pay them.
I surely won't use them anymore.

I went through discount backloading to book my move from Cairns to Brisbane. DLM Removals is who I got as I was waiting for them to come I decided to look at their reviews. I started panicking cause the reviews were not good. Anyway I just want to say when you expect the worse the good must happen. I ended up having no problems with them at all in fact I thought they were really good mind you I only had stuff from a small apartment to move. All my stuff arrived in the same condition it left Cairns in. Overall I can't say anything bad about them. They were fine and the cheapest. My friend recommended discount back loading to me. She had no problems either she moved back in 2009 through them so she can't remember if she got DLM. I rang her in panic after I read the reviews and she kept telling it will be fine and it was.
Efficient, Cheapest.

We used dlm removals to move back from melb to Cns recently and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone , first of all when our things got to cairns 3 wks after we expected them everything was wet and half was missing ! They eventually found our other items which was 22 boxes , dining furn etc etc how do u misplace so much stuff anyway after speaking to the extremely rude woman on the phone at the office of dlm several times our other items took 4 wks to get to us unbelievable so upset , we book our backload through moving again and I wouldn't recommend them either as you don't know who you t getting and our luck it was dlm !! If you want a easy moving experience with no dramas do not book dlm I would rate them neg 10 stars !!

Everything took over 6 wks to get all our furniture

I have had over 10 moves around Australia and never experienced such blatant disrespect for my belongings, my move was Melbourne to Darwin. Luckily I had taken out my own insurance for which my claim has been accepted, I only hope my insurer tries to retrieve their losses back from this company. 25% of my boxes were delivered either upside down or on their sides and 4 were lost, 75% of my furniture had multiple scratch's and rub marks, 4 items were completely in pieces. I personally witnessed the delivery person stand on one of my lamp tables to reach other things in the van, hence it is cracked right through the middle of the top. They gave me excuse after excuse, the delivery driver told me my belongings had been on and off 4 trucks as they had nowhere to store my things despite me paying storage fees. He also said he was not going to work for them anymore as he was sick of having to wear the brunt of complaints. They *ran out of* padding !! I cannot fault the guys who did the initial pick up, they were very careful, but somehow it all went downhill after that. Please avoid this company.

Moved with this company from melbourne in November, my daughters solid wrought iron bed frame was smashed and I asked for it to be fixed, they picked it up in march, after ringing every day to see if it had been fixed I was told it was forgotten about, then got a call to say it was a manufacturing fault! R u serious!!!! Told then it was there fault and too fix it, finally received it back before Easter Friday! Far too long in my opinion, also asked for bolts to be placed inside my washing machine so the drum wouldn't move but was told... Sorry I don't know how to do that by dlm in melbourne, my expensive washing machine didn't work when it arrived in goldcoast, I have heard the boss cuts corners and couldn't really care less, Trish the office lady is obviously scared of him as I had to ring her everyday to push for something to be done, do not use this company.

We moved from Darwin to the Gold Coast in Queensland. DLM Removals were the cheapest we could fine, we received 7 quotes from a number of companies. The move went well and was done in the time frame they advised. We had some moderate damage to a dining table but after speaking with the office staff and providing photos, they had the table sanded back and stained like a new one.

I had booked them to transfer my furniture from QLD to Melbourne on the condition that they would be shipping furniture after a certain date only. They completely ignore the dates and rock up in Melbourne on weekend with 4 hour notice. Since I wasn't available, the driver said that I would have to arrange another time and call the office to book a time over the next week..

After numerous phone calls asking them to make the delivery, they asked me to pay 40% more on top of the actual money that I had already paid them or else they wont release it from their warehouse. With no option available, I ended up paying them the money to get my furniture and other goods.

On receiving the furniture, I found that my study desk was scratched, the chest of drawers were broken to the extent that they had to be thrown away. Some of the boxes were torn apart and wet.

Like everyone here, I have ended up filing a complaint in consumer affairs. Avoid using them

We recently moved locally (only about 15 minutes away), from a 2 bedroom single story townhouse into another townhouse complex. DLM removals arrived on time and got straight into the job. The guys were friendly and happy to answer questions for us, and took care with our furniture when loading and unloading. The large truck almost blocked the shared road in the complexes (at both ends), but this wasn't an issue because they worked very quickly. The ladies in the office were helpful, and the booking process was easy.

I used DLM Removals to move from Sydney to Melbourne. They did a great job and I would be happy to recommend them to anyone moving. The removalists were exceptionally good asking where I wanted my furniture. While I didn’t have much furniture, it was still good to see my goods being treated with respect! I couldn’t get preferred dates but was flexible and for the price it was well worth it compared to other quotes I had received.

We would like to thank all the team at DLM Removals & Storage for their hard work in moving us from Sydney to the Melbourne. The removalists were well mannered and knew what they were doing. I didn't even want to give them 1 star but it makes me.
i had my furniture moved from Darwin to Sunshine coast everything was on time with delivery then everything changed.
We weren't notified before they delivered the goods like they said they would 1 hour prior, it was only lucky my partners mum was home at the time to let them in the shed. They were really ruff unloading all the furniture they managed to break a leg off my desk and badly damage my bed and safe box but the worst thing was when i went through everything the next day i had found out that my tool bag containing over $3000 worth of tools is missing. After many emails with no reply and phone calls with "were waiting for the truckie to get back to us" I've had enough and taking this to QCAT.
The staff are rude and have no compassion for their clients if you've already paid your not a problem to them they do everything they can to just get you off the phone.
I've asked them to reply to my emails and their response was "we will reply to the email if you stop calling us"
What a joke.

Don't trust this company they trade under different names Moving Again & DLM REMOVALS as both these names are on my two different invoices.

Moved from Brisbane to Melbourne, they were over a week late with delivery and blamed it on not having enough staff to make the delivery even though we had booked it in over a month in advance, broke several glasses and bowls as well as number of our glass containers even though all boxes labelled as fragile. Also left lots of dirty black hand prints and marks all over our cream sofa. Damaged our bed frame and side tables as well - paint scraped off the sides and chucks of the wood missing around the edges. On top of it all the customer service was terrible, one lady [Name Removed] talked over the top of me, refused to engage on why they were going to be late and was extremely rude yelling at me to be quiet and listen to her. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

My partner and I moved from Alice Springs to Brisbane recently. This move was stressful enough without having to deal with one of the most incompetent removalist companies. Pick up was 2 days late, only received one hours notice for pick up. Took 3 weeks to relocate. Worst customer service. Admin officers could not provide a basic update on where abouts our stuff was located or estimated delivery date. Received no call backs and had to chase company in order to pay for services. Would definitely not recommend and if going through a broker company make sure they don't use DLM.

I moved my family from Cairns to Sydney. I was very pleased with the move and would recommend DLM Removals to anyone moving home. From the office staff who helped with every step to the removalists that came and loaded our goods onto a truck. We barely had to lift a finger, the only thing my partner had to do which was out of the sheer kindness of her heart was to make the workers a drink. No damages or breakages occurred. We would be happy to use them again in the future.

Just wanted to praise these guys for the good job they did moving us from Anula, NT to Caboolture, Brisbane. Everything arrived with no damaged. They guys unloading were helpful and even put the furniture in place within the unit. Both my partner and I were pleased with whole experience and was well worth the time and cost using them.

Just want to thank DLM as we had everything moved from Rockhampton to Mooloolaba, the pick up was done with care, the delivery was done in the same manner & on time. I just want to make a special mention to Reagen the driver. We would advise friends to use this company.

Gave these people 2 weeks notice, they gave me none. Rang these people constantly for updates,Was abused for disturbing his lunch!!! they rang one hour before truck arrived. Added fees on to original quote,so that it went up by $600.00. They cancelled job at last minute,because truck could not fit into a " 4 X lane street". They added $145.00, because I forgot to mention it was first floor. They added $140.00 because I forgot to mention one small 90cm x 40cm item.They added $300.00 because they would need another truck to take my stuff to their truck,"that was already there,parked out the front of building".Had to cancel two flights with no refund,due to their messing me around.Was abused and sworn at. And when I explained that this booking was for a disabled person,"Doug" told me that he didn't want to hear my "sob stories"!! Told him I was a pensioner and had already allocated his quote to my budget, after he kept tacking on extra charges I said I cannot pay all these extras you keep adding,and he said "not my problem you should have thought of that before".
Yes, if this how he treats a disabled customer,God help you,if you need a reliable company. Yes they are a pack of "Hillbillys" with a mouth that belongs in the gutter.And this is not the drivers,this is the customer service team, do not enlist these guys to help you. Their sales pitch is good when you ring and book, but just wait until delivery day and see how nice they are to deal with then.I had booked flight 3 times, I had given notice at realestate,disconnected services and utilities,and was told that because of all my problems as a customer,that I would have to wait for the next delivery in two weeks time from today!!
I then had to ring another company , because,they cancelled on me,and told me to go and find someone else.
They are Excellent con artists and liars
Innacurate- Quote,Rude,Abusive,Inconsiderate,Unprofessional,Unreliable,Uncontactable.

We moved from Katherine in the Northern Territory to Horsham in Victoria. The move went well and we were pleased with how everything was handled. From the booking process to the handling of our furniture. The price was very good compared to other companies. Good company to work with and if we ever move again, we will be sure to inquire through DLM Removals & Storage.
