Enetshoponline.com Reviews & Complaints (24)

I bought one stick of "512MB PC3200 400MHz, CL=2.5" DDR RAM; I paid for 2 day shipping, and they delivered. But, I discovered later that the RAM wasn't what I had thought. The SPD tells the system to run it at CAS 3.0 at 200MHz (400 effective speed), and a system utility, AIDA32, identifies the RAM as PC2700; the SPD information there says "2.5 CAS at 166MHz, 2.0 at 133MHz."
Now, since the RAM did work, I figured I'd give another stick a try. This may have been a bit of bad judgement on my part to do this, but it seems that the results are positive. This time, in the Comments section of the order form, I put this:
"I've already got a stick of this RAM; it seems that its SPD in fact sets it to run at CAS 3.0 when it's at 200MHz. I did set it manually to CAS 2.5, and it seems ok. An SPD reader also ID's the RAM as PC2700. Curious...perhaps something should be stated about this on the site if the ram is not in fact "true" PC3200 - some users are bigger perfectionists than I am."

I got a reply the next day:
------------------------------------
Hello Jeffrey,

We cancelled your order and vided the charge of this invoice.
You are a real professional customer.
We don't have any stuffs matched what you want.
Sorry about it.

Enet
------------------------------------

I don't quite fully understand what they did; it's like they didn't want to rip me off a second time, because I was aware of it this time. So, potential buyers, just know you might not be getting what you thought you paid for from this company. I did send a reply to their "cancellation notification" asking for more information, but I doubt I'll hear anything back.

Ordered XP1800, 128mb DDR2700, 64mb pc133 with free delivery via USPS. Order processed quickly and arrived within the week. Only mild disappointment that the cpu was a Palomino but the website did NOT mislead(get what you pay for). All items still working perfectly after a month and I am satisfied with the good value. Will probably use this vendor again.

I needed an OEM AMD XP 3000+/400Mhz, and I wasn't shy about getting the best price. I searched Priceline, found Enet and a 30 day warranty + free shipping + good feedback lead me to go to their website and check that the Priceline quote was what their website quoted. They matched, I ordered, I received the package on the 26th, all in order. btw, they paid $.79 for USPS postage. I'll add Enet to my list of merchants.

COMPANY CLAIMED TO SELL PC2700 512MB 333MHZ DDR for 60$ per stick, including heatspreader.

I buy 2, receive goods 6 days later. Whats strikes me as funny is a paper sticker on the heatspreader that says WARRANTY VOID IF REMOVED. Since when am I not allowed to remove heatspreader???? I look under all the glue and i find: PC2100 DDR carefully covered under glue and stickers.

ANYONE WHO RATED THIS COMPANY OK: PLEASE TAKE THE NUMBERS FROM THE CHIPS UNDER THE HEATSPREADERS AND LOOK IT UP ONLINE. I DO NOT NOT NOT BELIEVE THIS WAS AN ACCIDENT SINCE THEY HAD THE FUNKY STICKERS THERE. BEWARE PEOPLE!!!!

I FILED WITH:
http://www1.ifccfbi.gov/index.asp
www.bbbonline.com
Fraudclaim with Mastercard

Update: manager contacted me and gave RMA so I sent goods back. He tried discussing with me that I was 'somewhat' wrong in that I should have looked more carefully since the item description nowhere said that it was not overclocked ram, so ... Anyways, make up your own mind... Changed the rating as promised.

I placed an order for one of their wholesale packs (10, 512MB sticks) of PC2100, which I had send second day air. I placed the order on a sunday, and it was shipped on the first business day (which I found very impressive). I'm in the process of testing them right now, and so far 2 of the 10 passed memtest, and 1 had an issue.

I called about the 1 stick, and was transferred immeadetely to a friendly, helpful guy. I explained the situation to him, and he issued me an RMA # for the 1 stick, and for any defective sticks in the group (should know in a couple of days when testing is through).

Overall I am very impressed with their level of service, and just hope that the defective one just happened to get through. If the RAM proves good, they'll have all my RAM business (which is quite a lot).

I will post an update with how the RMA goes, and if the rest of the RAM proves succesful!

Brian

*Update*

After throughly testing each stick, please do NOT buy memory from this company. It'll just end up being a waste of time and money. Hardly any of the memory works. Some pass memtest, but you cant boot into windows. I'm using the same chipset they supposedely tested for, so its definetely not a compatibility issue.

Please avoid!!!!!

I purchsed two modules of 256MB PC2100 DDR RAM from this company. One of them was DOA (Dead on Arrival). So I sent it back and received a replacement. No biggie, pretty good so far.

Less than a year from my purchase, the OTHER RAM died on me. I figured this is low quality RAM, and is meant to stop working a little after a year when your warranty is over, but this one died like 15 days within the year. So I still had a chance to get it replaced.

I've already decided that I would sell the replacement on ebay to get a few dollars back from it and spend my money on namebrand RAM that would last me a lot longer and probably perform better anyway.

Well, I KNOW the RAM is defective, I've been building computers for many years. Starting up the computer, it gave me the long system beep that stood for memory test failure. I tried it a few times more and got the same result. I opened up the case, and decided to try removing the RAM that wasn't DOA from before, and sure enough, right after removing that dimm, my computer booted up perfectly fine.

Pretty obvious I narrowed down the problem right? Well, here's why I'm giving them a negative review. After filing for the RMA within the warranty period, I mailed it to them. They don't respond to receiving it until well after the warranty is over. Their response?

They claimed that the RAM worked fine and was not defective. Which is BS, I know it doesn't work, and why would they lie? Because it's stated on their website in the return policy. If you send back merchandise for defective repair, and it's found to be not defective, they get to charge you a fee for doing so. A lot of people try to etch a small line or something on their hardware before sending it back because they know about this scam, the retailer will claim it worked fine, charge them a fee, send them back a REPLACEMENT that they claim to be the same piece, the buyer looks for the line, finds that it's not there, and knows they just got scammed.

This happens quite often. But it goes on, not only do they try to lie to me about it being not defective, they tell me that my warranty period is over! So basically, it's over when they emailed me, but they emailed me so late because they purposefully waited.

Either way, they tried to scam me in several ways. I told them to keep their defective POS RAM, because I simply don't want to deal with having to send it back every year to get replaced even if they didn't try to scam me.

But the fact is, they did, so don't trust these people, unless you want to put yourself through so much trouble. Take your business to reputable retailers such as Newegg.com .

I ordered one stick of pc3200 ddr-sdram. It was one of the lowest prices on pricewatch, but i checked their rating here first. Although it wasn't the greatest (5.94 out of 10) i decided to give them a try. After i made the order, i got a confirmation email and later on that day, i got the tracking number. They shipped it the same day. The memory came in the timeframe expected via UPS ground and it works fine. I would recommend them and would look to them for a future purchase.

Radeon 9600Pro was purchased by my friend at myself within a week of each other. He was upgraded to a higher memory card and I waited for mine. Both of our cards locked up our systems after 15 minutes of having started a game. After checking all the tech support pages, and my friend going through ATI support, his was concluded to be a memory issue. I just sent mine back. Both of us were sent emails saying our motherboards were incompatible with the 8xAGP card. Which is BS. They charged a 20% restocking fee. Took forever to return, had to email then call. Calling this company is like playing a video game, they prompt you to keep holding every 20 seconds. otherwise, they route you to the main desk again.

Bought Athlon 2600 266fsb from them. Cheapest price I ever saw for this processor (there are only few places you still can buy it with this FSB). Works well. Order came on time.
The processor has two small black spots on the crystal but that’s seems OK and not their fault.

On March The 5th,I placed an order for Some computer Parts, I waited about 10 days.

I called Their support number which was listed on their web site, I asked their support team were my order was.
Support staff said that my order was shipped out first class us mail thru the post office.

I then ask the support person to please provide me with a tracking number, Which they said they did not have one, At this time I knew I was getting the run around and ask to speak to the owner or the supperviser.

I was put on hold for about 25,(min) then the phone just hung up, so I then called back and spoke to their support staff again, Sounded like the same person as Before.

Well it's now May The 23rd and still no Order, So i did a serch on Price watch Were I first found them, The funney thing now is that ENET Shop Or http://pcmemory-stores.stores.yahoo.net/aboutus.html which is their weg URL and at price watch Review and seen a stream of Negative Reviews @
http://www.pricewatch.com/public/Feedback.aspx?q=2533&p=1

And low and behold their were so many people saying the same things.

I bought 3 sticks of PC133 256 megs last Decemember from these guys. They were the lowest Prciewatch store that didn't have a lousy rating here. Granted, they had no rating (and, in fact, had a Grand Opening sign on thier website), but they were only an hour's drive away, so I figured I could go down and yell at them if needed if something got screwy. The memory was $21 a stick (it's now $46 from the same place). The memory was low-density, as they had a warning stating that high-density stuff wouldn't work with my motherboard. Now, they charged me $17 for UPS ground, but that was in line with the other Pricewatch bozos, and the price otherwise was low enough to make up for it. Thier processing time was fine; they said orders after a certain time would be shipped the next day; they did, and UPS delivered it the day after that (or tried to, I wasn't home and went and picked it up instead). Now, when I put all three sticks in my system, Windows would load fine, and so would RTCW and other programs, but TFC would hard lock whenever I started a game; but it would work with any two sticks, in any of the slots. I finally decided that my motherboard (a Geninue Intel one) was the problem; I replaced one of the sticks with my old 128 meg stick, and it worked fine (for a total of 640 megs, which was more than enough). Guess my motherboard just didn't like being maxed out on memory; obviously not their fault. I ended up selling the last stick to a coworker for $30. Although I didn't talk to anybody or return anything (they charge a restock fee on all non-defective returns and only have limited phone hours), I was quite happy with my purchase and service.

I had what I thought was a cpu failure in one of my older PCs (socket A) and needed a replacement sempron. Did a Google shopping search and came up with this vendor and was a bit worried when I checked them here. So, I decided to call first.

The phone number (at least the one currently on their website) does certainly work and I spoke with Michael for assurance that the part was in stock and was not a "pull". They had a good price and free USPS shipping on a Sempron 2600. Cheaper than just what the same was going for on ebay. So I ordered.

I received a receipt immediately and the next day a shipping notification. Part arrived on time, well packaged. Curious about the Ok sticker on the back. I always get OEM cpus and that is the first time I saw such a sticker but it certainly does not look used, came in a little AMD pkg and it works fine (my PC problem turned out to be the PSU, btw).

I would order from them again.

Bought an Athlon XP 3200 / 400FSB from them, they offered "retail package" on the same page, everything denoted that the processor was brand new.

Received in some very questionable packaging, multiple LARGE chips on the processor die, bent pins, and the plastic holder for the processor was filled with crumbs from some kind of food or something. Called them up, and they said "we give customers great price because we send "B" grade CPUs". I am not happy with this order by any means, there was absolutely no indication that the product being ordered was not brand new and in perfect condition.

This is one company I'm planning on staying away from permanently unless they are willing to fix this situation. I'm building a computer for a relative and I am unable to give them a banged up used CPU like this. Currently, all I can say is stay away - go to NewEgg, They will take care of you even if it costs them money.

Would you like to fix this situation Enet?

Received my Athlon 64 3400 and free fan in 2 business days (1 day early). My processor is marked as an Athlon 3400 with a sticker so hopefully it's labeled correctly (other reviews say they have been ripped off). The pins were protected with a small piece of styrafoam and the plastic processor package is stapled shut. I am very satisfied with this transaction..hopefully everything works the way I expect it to!!

I read a bunch of bad reviews here, but ENET were one of only two places that still were carrying the AMD 2600+ 266Mhz CPU. Both places had bad reviews. I called first to confirm the CPU was in stock. Someone answered quickly and confirmed they had them. I then placed my order on-line. I got a quick confirmation email. Another a day or so later. And a third confirming the item shipped. The CPU arrived in a reasonable time considering free shipping.

It was the first OEM CPU I have every purchased, so I don't know what is common packaging with OEM's, but this was wrapped in a small piece of foam with paper and tape holding everything together.

The CPU is installed and functioning just fine. So all in all, I have to give ENET two thumbs up.
