In buying a domain, I was concerned about managing the financial aspect and making sure we got what we expected, especially since we were buying from someone overseas. There were some minor hiccups (didn't know that the Concierge-level service would not be available over the weekend, and that wires were required above a certain amount). But overall, it made the transaction feel more secure, and smoothed out what might have been a bumpy exchange.

I just completed a domain sale brokered through Escrow.com, and have to say that, from start to finish, it was a first-class customer experience all the way. I can't possibly recommend Escrow.com highly enough; on a scale of 1-10, they're easily a 30---case closed.

This was my first time ever using escrow.com and I am happy that I did. I was hesitant at first but everything went smoothly. Account Manager Mauli Fry was fantastic and quick to respond. Escrow.com kept me informed every step of the way. I could not have asked for better service. Lance.

My business trades high end timepieces with connoisseurs of fine watches. I was trying to sell a $11k+ Rolex online to a new client. Client really wanted the watch but was getting cold feet and was thinking about backing out of the deal altogether. Escrow dot com to the rescue! The services you offer put my buyers mind at ease and we completed the deal. I think it would have fallen through without Escrow. Also, the support staff were amazing. Both my buyer and I made some errors setting up our accounts and support sorted it out quickly. "Ron" was especially helpful to me and deserves a shout out. I've already shared my positive experience with several of my business colleagues.

I have used Escrow.com several times over the past few years for domain name sales and purchases. Their customer service has always been good, but Jenny really hit the ball out of the park. She helped me with my initial question and solved it while on the first call. She then called me back with an update, too. That is great customer service and that is why I will continue to use Escrow.com....Also, Jenny deserves a bonus, too... :-)

Escrow.com still does the hard work of escrow for domain names very well and the domain name holding option works. What doesn't work are their outdated and expensive disbursement options. When considering whether to use the DN Holding service as a seller, make sure you factor in the additional cost of transfers and finding a banking provider that Escrow.com approves of. Whether it's their systems/choice or the systems/choice of their banking partner to not accept TransferWise, Revolut or other legitimate banking organisations that offer low cost FX isn't clear. What is clear is that with the overall costs of receiving international wire transfers (USD to GBP in this case) once Escrow.com and the bank charges have been applied it cost $51 to receive the funds every month. So make sure your sales price factors in these costs.

Another smooth domain name concierge transaction using Escrow.com. From transaction raised to closing statement within a single day (9 hours) - and payment received via international transfer the next morning. A perfect transaction. We've used escrow.com for nearly 2 decades now with great success, and the concierge service has helped ensure fast and smooth transactions for our buyers.

It's hit or miss, I've been hung up on 4 times. But, every once and awhile someone will go out of there way. Verifying funds can be extremely daunting. especially with the verification process. Customer service and "proof of funds" severely needs to be updated. This should not be so difficult for a buyer.

We had a not standard situation with third party involvement and unexpected changes throughout the deal, and although some of the issues could be avoided with some uncomplicated updates in the escrow.com system, we were very happy with support from Jay, who was very helpful, quick to respond and helped to smooth our the process overall. This is my first time ever using the service. Also my first time buying an online business. Buying any business is scary and buying one via online add a bit more questions. Escrow takes the worry out of the financial transaction. Super happy with the process, ease and support. The entire transaction was simple. Customer service are super awesome and helpful. The only way to purchase a business in my opinion.

I was having a difficult time in understanding the escrow documentation process as a new customer. I called them and their customer service in assisting me was EXCELLENT... He walked through the process of what data and screen shots I needed to go thru, and even showed me how to utilize screen shots on my computer. I'm very SATISFIED with their SECURITY PROCESS...I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR OTHERS TO USE...

I finally called customer service because I made some errors and was having difficulty creating an account with Escrow. The young lady was amazing and guided me step by step through the process. She actually called me back a couple of times to give me more help. Their customer service is absolutely the best!!

The shipping company was arriving the next day to pick up the vehicle and the payment had not been secured by 7pm CST. After a few phone calls and the seller emailing them the remaining documentation everything was good to go by 9 pm CST. The customer support team was extremely helpful and I could tell that they actually cared about the safety of both parties involved. I couldn't be happier with how easy my first escrow transaction was and I want to give a big shout out to the customer support team!

They took a week to verify the funds, despite me providing all requested proofs. That was through a verified Paypal account for $125! This resulted in me losing the deal with the other party. My many refund requests remained unanswered, and still, no refund has been processed this time. This looks like a big SCAM. Stay away from them. They ruined my transaction and kept my money.

I used escrow.com to have peace of mind that I would get paid on time by a client. Instead if the client forgets to approve that work has been completed (and Escrow.com only send automated reminders for 1 week, then forget about it), they keep the money indefinitely. With one payment Escrow.com refused to accept it because it didn't come from the client. It did, Escrow.com just got confused because they mistook the address of the bank for the name of the company sending the funds. My client got an error message when they tried to login to confirm receipt of a service we'd provided, so couldn't send the approval. Escrow still won't release the funds even though it's been nearly a month and we had arranged a 2 week inspection period. Their site is cumbersome and not at all user-friendly and seems designed to hold onto your money for as long as they possibly can.

They are stuck in their own security protocols, very slow in response and it can take up to one month before your deal is finally settled. Would certainly consider other options.

He traced every misplaced transaction and patiently and courteously solved every one of them for me. Thank you so much. You went far beyond my expectations and you won me over Ron

Escrow.com has been holding my money for over a week for no good reason.
I was supposed to buy a site using their service. However, after wiring the money, the seller told me he can't receive USD. So we mutually agreed to cancel the transaction. This proved to be a nightmare- escrow.com demanded all sorts of documents (only after requesting the refund. For some reason these documents weren't relevant when I sent the money). They take 2+ days to answer my emails.
I've had to open a dispute with paypal- hopefully they will help me solve this mess.
Moral of the story: Don't proceed with a transfer with escrow.com unless you're a 100% sure it will go through, you might just loose your money.
