Lack of information on transfer times, rep at the hotel would not allow us to purchase a trip over the telephone given that he had been at the hotel once the whole trip, also to be sat on a plane for an hour and forty minutes on the way out before take off with not even a water then standing at the flybe check in desk on the way back for over an hour as they couldn't print tickets meant that when we finally got through security we were unable to stop for the toilet or a drink and food, then we actually get on the flight and again sat on a plane for an hour and forty minutes before take off - again with no water!

Waiting 2 hours on the Tarmac both ways does not make for a great flight.

1.5 hours waiting on plane outward and return.
I know it was not fly direct fault, but they could have given us a free drink once we were airborne. Quite a few young children on board made it quite uncomfortable for the rest.

Check in at Palma Airport took over 1h30 - that is simply unacceptable in today’s age with online checkin and bag drop facilities. People with small children or those who are frail cannot be expected to wait that long.

Will definitely be using FlyDirect again - so much easier than having to fly to the UK first. The only thing I would suggest is that when you book your own transfers you are advised to arrive at the airport more than 2 hours before flight departure however the check-in desk doesn't open until 2 hours before so this is a waste of time.

The transfer was meant to be 30 minutes as per brochure. It took 1 hour 40 minutes to get to our hotel in a coach with no air-conditioning. Our baby was then sick, so decided that at the end of our stay we would get a taxi back to the airport. This took 20 minutes. A couple from our hotel who got the coach back, were meant to be picked up at 10, the coach did not arrive until 10.25 and did not get to the airport until 12.
We were so glad we did not do this as the plane was boarding at 12.30, this would have left us with little time to feed and change our baby. I would not recommend anyone to use the hotel transfers, especially if they have a young child. This needed to have been communicated to us upon booking as we would not have had a hotel transfer if we knew how long we would be stuck on a coach for.

Very good second year for us using the service and its excellent 1hour 40mins AE are a good operator we will certainly be going again next June !
Wish there were more destinations to go to with Fly Direct

The flight was fine, left on time and was very comfortable, but we thought we were going for a week’s holiday when, in fact, it was only five days by the time we got down to Tenerife the day was over and we had to leave when it was still dark on the return leg. I know it depends on the charter airlines schedule, but it was rather disappointing.

It was not their fault there was 2 hours delay which we understand was due to French Air Traffic Control and yes we would use them again.

Well organised direct return flight to Palma using Air Europa, who were a really efficient airline and the aircraft chartered (Embraer 195?) was clean, modern and extremely quiet. The Air Europa cabin staff were excellent.

The times of the direct flight have changed and now mean that we arrive in Mallorca in the evening of day one and have to be at the airport midday of last day :-(
Our return flight was delayed but we received no information about how long the delay would be. We were eventually packed onto a bus and driven to the plane, which was not ready! We sat and swelterd on the bus. We love the convenience of the direct flight but this last experience was a disappointment.

Flights delayed by approx 3 hrs both ways - return leg blamed on French Air Traffic Control - Service poor on outward leg served 10 minutes prior to landing.

The aircraft was two hours late in leaving Jersey and 2.5 hours late in leaving Palma. The 15 kilo luggage allowance is simply not sufficient - especially if you want to bring something back,
We will not be using FlyDirect again. When we go to Mallorca again we will be using British Airways which is also less expensive.

Convenient flight but delayed by approximately 2 hours both ways which ruined plans at each end. Very slow in flight service. On a nearly 2hour flight, drinks arrived once the seatbelt signs had gone on and we had begun our descent.

Very convenient service which cuts out the need to fly to UK with overnight stays. Outgoing flight delayed by a day due to sandstorms at destination. Staff kept us informed, ensured that we were fed and watered plus were in attendance where required. Also followed up with promised correspondence.
Aircraft was good and flight crew pleasant. Paying for extra leg space not really worth the cost if you end up in row 1.
Shame that they do not fly to more destinations.
