Products arrived in good time and well packaged to avoid damage. They have a wide selection on their website and offer a discounted rate than I would get from in store. They have cornered the market (I believe) on selling comic single issues. I cannot find anywhere else with that has such an up to date, varied stock that ships to the UK other than ones that only deal in digital comics.

Don't buy from them, they will take payment, your items will never turn up. Their customer services is terrible, they don't have a clue where your order is or what you've ordered or if you've paid for it. They are clueless. Avoid them, even if it means paying a little it more elsewhere.

ordered five nights at freddys figures for my sons birthday after checking they were in stock. after 6 days there website said that the order was still being processed, on contacting them I was told I could not have a refund as the order was in process of being dispatched. several emails and they would not apologise for letting my son down on his birthday, I could of gone to A****N and received them in a couple of days for a few pence more

We have a family of Tribbles... Don't judge me.. I bought one online from here for Christmas for my fiancé it arrived ahead of time. The downside is that it came covered in forbidden planet tape... This threatened to spoil my surprise gift... Luckily enough I had it delivered to my parents address.. Now I can't help but want some of the tape it's awesome Since then I have ordered a few more pieces.. I ordered some more pieces of merch at the end of January... These were sadly not in stock but I have just had a confirmation and awaiting delivery I'm definitely returning for more

I wanted to order a teen titans comic (http://forbiddenplanet.com/18396-teen-titans-volume-2-family-lost/) from these guys and it was fairly cheap online and my local store didn't have it so I thought I'd give it a go. But it said "Order on request. Expected delivery time is 21 days." which was fair enough I could wait. But after a MONTH AND A HALF there was nothing. Finally got in touch with them and got told that they wouldn't be able to get it as it wasn't in print any more apparently. I completely understand that it not being in print isn't their fault, but for it to take a month and a half to find out (and me having to contact them!) I was not impressed. I cancelled my order and went onto find the comic for sale on ebay. I'm sure they sell good stuff, but in my opinion and experience I wouldn't order from these guys again. Their stores are amazing with nice people, but as for the online service, it's a bit naff. I'd stick to going into the store.

No chronological order. Site constantly crashes when adding items to basket. No communication on delayed items. Takes about a week from purchase to dispatch and takes a 5-8 day to be delivered. Won't be using this site again.

I received an email from the good people at Forbidden Planet to let me know that it had been despatched(to be honest, I'd forgotten I'd ordered it as it was well before it's release date. lol)
Really can't fault their service at all.

Placed an order for 2 long boxes and various comics,had an email confirming my order had been shipped via dpd on the 6/5.The 2 long boxes arrived on the 8/5 however no comics.Normally when I place an order everything arrived together.After numerous emails I finally got a reply stating that the comics had been sent out separately via 2nd class mail,yet 22 days later still no comics.Cannot get through on the phone and despite further emails no answer as to when my order might be completed or in fact that they were actually shipped when stated.After being a customer of forbidden planet for a number of years both on line and in store I am seriously thinking of taking my business elsewhere.As a retail manager myself a bit of honest customer service goes a long way.

I have had on going subscriptions for about 4 different books for sometime now(about 7 to begin with but not everything was to my taste). They have dealt with minor issues quickly and professionally (my card expired and I was unsure where I stood with my subscriptions). I've also ordered all sorts over the years aswell.

Pre-ordered a product back in July to be shipped early September. Received no emails about the change in date and the store page said the item had already sold out (looked back today and it's unavailable?). The only time I got a response was when I poked them about it, even then all I received was some copy and paste response that answered nothing.

Did they even have any in the first place? And on what planet did they think it was ok to just never inform the people buying from them. You shouldn't have to constantly check the site to find out what is even happening with an order they should be contacting you.

Cancelled the order, can't be bothered to deal with this much hassle anymore but thanks for ruining an anniversary gift.

I have used Forbidden Planet extensively to buy comic books over many years but there’s been a deterioration in their service levels over the past year.
Their postage and packing leaves something to be desired so I’ve had to return books on many occcasions or accept inferior quality. It really doesn’t cost much to look after comic books and supply a bag and board but this seems to be too much to ask for.
My second big gripe is that they take orders for books which they then don’t supply. It’s usually books that have some ‘heat’ so I can only assume they are either completely disorganised, have antiquated systems or are trying to maximise their profits. I have taken the majority of my £50+ per month business elsewhere but I buy the occasional book and have been disappointed yet again so I hope I can stop people making the same mistake as me.

Made an order on 27/03/2020, it still hasn't been delivered. Tried to find a contact number or option to sort this out and there isn't one. Called the telephone number and they said to leave a voicemail but then no option to leave a voicemail. It seems forbidden planet are trying evade me.

My order was delivered in 12 days to Russia.
I am satisfied with everything, the figures came in perfect condition, the journal also (it was packed very securely)

Ordered a couple of comics on 9th June... Still waiting on 18th June. Just seems too slow these days.
Probably best to go into a shop or look elsewhere on line for faster delivery. Cant fault the stock.

I bought a £40 gift voucher for my friend on Tuesday. Had to pay over £5 for postage, and the voucher is still not here by Friday. Even first class post is cheaper and would have got here sooner, so I don't know what the inflated postage charge is for something that could be sent by first class post. Very sad.

I'm a first time buyer from the US. I had a little issue with my order because I was unaware of the Order Postage Update that requires a response within 7 days to process the order. This order postage update was through email so I completely missed it. FYI This does not reflect in your personal account within their website. In my account my order only reflected as Pending. I assumed my order was complete until I checked my email weeks later. Since my initial order was past 7 days, my order was cancelled due to no response. I was beating myself for not checking my email. The item I was eager to get was a Limited Signed Edition of The Art and Making of Alita Battle Angel which was limited to 300 copies worldwide. It was signed by the Director of the film. I'm a huge fan of 90's Manga/Anime to include James Cameron and Robert Rodriguez films. I've been following the production of this movie since i first read about it in 2011. So i was really upset that my order was cancelled and that the item was already sold out. I took a chance and contacted ForbiddenPlanet's Customer Service Team about my order and situation. Surprisingly they reinstated my order. It was like a second chance for me! I confirmed the postage update email but then came across more issues with the payment confirmation because the order was from overseas. Though I was DETERMINED to get this. I understood that the issues was more on my end because of my bank's overseas security. So I handled it on my end and completed the order. And I'd say about 2-3 weeks later I got my order! It arrived well packed and protected. It wasn't easy but I'm very grateful that customer service took the time to help a fan. They were patient, understanding, and very professional with all the communication and guidance I got through email but this obviously was mutual. They can't help me if I'm not willing to work with them. I'm just glad they were as considerate as I was to them. THANK YOU. YOU'VE MADE A FAN EXTREMELY HAPPY.

I started using Forbidden Planet last year for bulk lots of items & I did not have the best start with my 1st order due to stock problems. But this was the only glitch I've had! Placed more orders for multiple items & I have to say that the care put into packing my items was of the highest quality! ALL of my items were in "perfect" condition! I've had this amazing experience on all of my past deliveries so far. Due to the care put into the way I receive my orders, I will be using Forbidden Planet for many more future orders. 10/10 5 STARS

Online they often have a lot of things out of stock which can be frustrating but hey it’s not the end of the world and a visit to the shop in London is awesome
The range is vast and covers everything any sci fi geek could want

Tracked and the shipment never left UK as I am overseas.

Spoke to the shipping agent and support who took up the issue.

Was emailed 30mins later saying it would be resolved.

The original was damaged, so got send out a replacement in quick time.

Despite this inconvenience, I would highly recommend ordering.

And the help desk was amazing too,

I ordered a special edition signed hardback book (at extra cost), and 7 days later when my book arrived, it was a paperback. I emailed to explain the wrong book was sent out, received no reply after 2 days so I called customer service. They sent me a returns label, but said that they could not send out the book I ordered until they had received the incorrect book back. As the original book was low stock at the time of ordering, and 11 days have now passed, I am not hopeful in ever receiving the book. Very disappointed.
