I love freedom insurance have used it for the last 4/5 years - the site is simple to use its prices are competitive and if you get stuck there is always online chat or call them they really will explain everything you need. This was one company I had to call when struggling to find insurance to make sure we all got home together if something went wrong.
I would recommend you at least try them

I had several questions which (Ethan) answered immediately via the "chat line". Extremely professional customer service!! I also thought that the premium quoted was very competitive, as a result of which I purchased the policy.

Following a heart attack Freedom insured me, at an appropriate premium, after a 3 month period and I have now renewed with Freedom for over 10 years.

Freedom's screening questionnaire appear to recognise when medication is provided for preventative reasons rather than a patient having a condition e.g. blood pressure lowering tables are prescribed as a preventative medication in the case of heart attacks as a risk reduction strategy, not because the patient high blood pressure. The same applies, to aspirin for thinning blood and statins for reducing collateral in their blood. Some pre-screening assumes if you take medication to lower blood pressure or statins that you have a medical condition of high blood pressure of too much collateral in the arteries.

Following my initial excellent telephone advice together with actually being able to buy insurance I now book with on-line Freedom. I take yearly European insurance to cover my European travel throughout the year and top-up on a holiday by holiday basis when I go to America as I am unable to buy world wide yearly insurance. Also, prices are comparable with other insurance premiums with same medical conditions and same screening which I check on a yearly basis.

Freedom is an excellent example of building a business based on risk exploitation whereby customers who have a medical condition can buy appropriate insurance rather than not being able to travel due to standard travel insurance not providing cover for preexisting conditions. So without insurance companies like Freedom one could find it impossible to travel.

This is my third year of purchasing a Travel Insurance Policy from Freedom Insurance Services and I have been happy again with the simplicity of the process. I was disappointed that I could not purchase an annual policy and although the cost of cover for a single trip dropped significantly after the first year, despite the time lengthening since my last procedure/treatment, the cost has again risen without explanation.

I received my annual reminder letter for holiday insurance. Asking me to call to renew - which I did. There was no need to call as I could renew online - not sure why the letter said to phone.
My policy price remained exactly the same as the previous year - which was good from my perspective. Website was easy to use, even when declaring `existing medical conditions`

Online screening was easy, even for my 1 in a million diagnosis. But after paying for the policy I ran into a hiccup with the policy retrieval. It just wouldn't retrieve the documents for me online, wanting a password that I didn't have, and rejecting my policy reference. So I had to phone up. But a very helpful lady (Debbie Tibbott) sorted things out for me, and emailed me my papers. So happy in the end. Thanks!

I have previously insured holidays with you and found them to offer a competitively priced package. However, on this occasion the cost of the Insurance seemed to increase by approx £300 over the course of a few weeks which was concerning but I guess that is what happens the closer to the travel date you get so get your insurance early is the message.

Since having a cardiac arrest and 2 stents and a ICD pacemaker fitted 4 years ago I'd obtained cover via this company for several overseas trips. I consider myself to be in excellent health. As a responsible traveller I ensure I am covered for my travel, sadly on this occasion I felt absolutely gouged on the price. £85.64 for a very brief 48 hour trip to Middle East for a job interview. With pre-existing medical conditions you have little choice, so can only recommend that if you have a pre-existing condition compare providers and check you have answered website's ambiguous questions correctly for the policy exclusions. Fortunately never had to claim so impossible to say whether Freedom's service is any good.

I have used this cover for a number of years now and found the company to be excellent. This year I made a basic error when completing the online form which was fortunately picked up during discussions with a member of staff otherwise my policy was invalid. I am very grateful for their vigilance.

I have used Freedom a number of times now. I did have trouble in the past getting cover for one member of the family but I don’t have this problem with Freedom. Being able to do the medical screening on-line is a big plus as it saves me spending a long time on the phone and I can come back to it to finish it rather than doing it all in one go.

The application process was very easy if you know the answers from your medical history, we had to check with our doctor with one question. The price was much better than we expected. Very happy to know we are properly covered for our holiday and can now go and enjoy with peace of mind.

I "chatted" to someone online before purchasing and he was very helpful. It was easy to get a quote and pay online, and it was the best price I had found to cover my pre-existing conditions.
