Futurlec

I am a buyer for a manufacturing facility. We had terms when I ordered from them in May. However, now in July I am supposed to order through their website instead of sending them a purchase order and pay by credit card at the time of placing the order. When I send questions to their customer service email I get plenty of runaround, but no answers. TERRIBLE customer service!! I'm sourcing my parts elsewhere from now on.

05 fev 2016 i ordered an item and pay for it ,1 month after i contact them to know what's happening with my order,then and only then they told me it was b/o
(what a rotten customer service)
then they try to sell me some substitute part that won't fit and on 07 march they finaly agreed to refund me

30 april 2016 almost(3)months now ''i got no parts'' and i still wait for my refund, i send them (2) more emails, they never answer me or try to contact me after they promess to refund me

just think about it, if this company is ready to screw a customer and loose his reputation for a ridiculous $ 6.10 WOW it tells a lot about their commercial practice and honesty and their lack of professionalism, because all that time the item was still mark as ''in stock''on their internet

CROOKS AND STUPID are the best word to describe them ,if i had consult review like ''resseller rating'' first i would never deal with them

Ordered some parts on July 13 and received an email the same day saying the order has been shipped and should arrive in 7-10 days. It arrived today, July 30, so it was later than promised but package was in good condition.

Futurlec is based in Australia but package was sent from Hong Kong so they may not have components in-house and rely on another company to fulfill their orders and have little control over what components are really available at time of order.

I have been using Futurlec for the past 3 years. On the whole they are great - their prices are fantastic. But they have some very bad practices that I find annoying. Their communication through email is terrible. If they could improve on these areas then they would be better for all their customers. In all that time (3 years) I would have spent $1000's of dollars. Had one major delay due to part not being in stock - so they hold but don't let you know. Thats just a crazy business practice. But here's the rub - they are so cheap I put up with that and other annoying things - because on the whole I save money.
Heres a tip/info - they give 3 options for postage. If you chose the cheapest option then you are getting sea freight and expect 6-7 weeks, if you chose the middle option expect 2-3 weeks, if you pay most expensive - still takes 1-2 weeks. if you are getting delays beyond these times email a few times - generally the problem will be they are out of stock and are delaying sending. You can tell them to cancel the part from your order. This is also an annoying practice employed by deal extreme and other chinese companies. Instead of having to send twice and paying for 2 lots of postage due to their error - they try and avoid and just send one time, but not let you know that they are doing this.
So the bottom line is if you are in a hurry then Futurlec may not be the best place to order from. If time is not an issue and you are trying to save money - then give them a try.

I've ordered with them many times as far as I had no other dealer shipping to Brazil. I've had so many issues, missing components (never to be refunded). The ordering process always took a century, they never have all the components you order so I always ended waiting months to the missing items to be available again or had to replace them with other stuff.

We ordered parts from Futurlec on July 30th 2014. Credit Card Charged. Not responsive. Aug 2015 still no parts or refund.

After 8 weeks, items are still 'on their way' from another warehouse. Their website also says that they update stock status weekly. The item I'm interested in has shown as 'in stock' this entire time. Done with them and will work hard to make sure everyone I can that they are a scam

First 2 years great! Payments taken in a day, delivered (AUST) in a week now, its closer to just over a month now holding orders for 20cent items despite emails saying to disregard incomplete orders.

One time was 6 months no follow up emails or acknowlegements. Email comunication is poor!
Too many departments and buck passing.... you will get your stuff, but quicker and cheaper on ebay when you have to wait long periods.

OH! and the worst part is you cant log in now to check current or older orders

I ordered $60.oo worth of stuff from these guys.
I waited 3 months for these guys to send me something for nothing.
The guy explained that they were awaiting a shipment that contained a part that would complete my order.
The same guy offered to send me what he had in stock right away and send the remainder at no extra cost at a later date. I agreed, please send you have got!
I waited more... then emailed an order cancelation and refund request.
Now they will not respond at all.
I can only report these (CRAP) scammers to the FBI as far as Paypal knows and sends instructions on how to do so.

Update: I received my refund 1 hour after writing the above review.

I waited like 30 days till they sent my items because one was not avilable. I payd 22$ for express shipping. At all im satisfied. The support is average, but dont hasitate to contact them if you already waited some weeks and they still dont dispatched your order.

When you have time you should order from Futurlec, the cheap prices are worth it. If not... well better choose another shop.

I also bought some sortiments like resistors etc... every single bag is labeled with the values! Very helpfull.

DHL Express shipping needed like 5 days from Tailand. Totaly worth it.

they got me,no parts ,no reply ,stay away as they take your money and no parts ,i emailed got 1 item is back ordered and will be 5-7 days and they 2 weeks later i ask again and nothing no reply ,no parts no refund ,stay clear ,pls shut them down some how .hard earned money gone and time wasted ,im smarter than this and was fooled buy their website will do my homework more ,got lazy i guess thinking this just dosnt happen like this well shame on me ,

I've ordered from Futurlec four times without a problem, and once with a big problem. Usually, my orders take a month to receive, but that isn't a problem. Their components are the best price I've found. However, my current order was placed in March, and it still hasn't shipped. They respond to my emails asking the status of the order, but cannot give me a date they will have the components back in stock. Interesting thing is, they still have the component marked as in stock on their website.

I have purchased from Futurlec in the past and just purchased
from them a few days ago . Their shipping is slower than most
electronic sites for parts .But if there is a problem filling
a part in your order they can't fill they will ask by e mail
how you want to handle it by refund or with other part sub
for it . Their parts are quality and low cost And you can't
beat their shipping rates . Futurlec is on the up&up

Ordered 5 male DC plugs 2.5 mm by 5.5 mm to replace failed laptop charger plugs. Sadly of the 5 only one was the right size the other 4 were 2 mm by 5.5 mm. The quality of the plugs is good but order fulfillment sucks.

Ordered on 3rd July and got a confirmation email, but by the 1st August the order hadn't turned up so i emailed them several times with no response. Eventually on 13th Auguest i emailed saying i was going to contact my bank and get my money back, and surprise surprise, the next day i get a reply claiming that i had emailed to cancel my order on 4th July, which i hadn't.

On an order a couple of times before this i ordered some red backlight LCD diplays, but they sent orange ones. I emailed several times to complain and when someone finally repsonded they said they would send replacements out asap, which they didn't. They then said they would send replacemenst with my next order, which they didn't.

Futurlec are absolutely useless, stay well away. I won't be buying from them again.

This page is a COMPLETE ripoff, never got my items, only response from mail was to wait 1-2 MONTHS for restock, then no response. STAY AWAY DON'T LOSE YOUR MONEY!

I ordered some solar cells from this place, then later that day looked them up here. Oops. I didn't bother looking them up first because I first visited their website years ago and figured if they're still around, they're reputable. It appears that some customers have good experiences, and some don't. I initially wanted to cancel the order but decided to see what happened.

I was pleasantly surprised when I received email notification the order shipped the next day. It said I should receive it within 7-10 days. 10 days came and went, nothing. I wasn't in a hurry, so I waited awhile longer.

18 days later it arrived, and the merchandise looks good. It was shipped from Singapore to the USA. I paid so little for these things so the extra time is OK with me. But whether I order from them again will depend on how impatient I am and how much cheaper the item is compared to a domestic supplier.

I have ordered a lot of PCB's through Futurlec. They are good quality and VERY cost effective. If you want fast shipping they do offer DHL Express. Their delivery to Australia is fast with DHL but the standard 3-4 weeks with standard postage as you would expect. The staff are VERY helpful and answer email promptly.

hey guy today i received my order with the 10 day shipping + 8 day wait for the part, just because the part was back order that made the shipping delay anyway thank you Puturlec for your best i hope i will do business with you soon,

I did receive my order today (Aug 31/15) and it was complete.
However, I would not order from these guys again due to the
extent of their shipping time and poor communication via email.

I emailed them roughly six times, I ordered the items around December 2014, it is now Aug 2015. Still no product. I would not recommend purchasing anything from them ever.
