This company was recommended to me by someone who has recently received an order from them, so I was aware that delivery is slow, particularly under the present circumstances. My order was placed on 29th April but despite having received an email confirmation that my parcel was now with Yodel for delivery, I discover after chasing Yodel (4 attempts) this is not the case and they have only received the booking details, not the actual parcel. I thought this was poor service but having read the other comments on here, I clearly have a much longer wait to go before I get my wine order.

I fully appreciate there are unprecedented challenges at the moment for every business but communication and managing customer expectation goes a long way!

Delivery was about 4 weeks from placing my order. Really good value case of wine and excellent value. Surprised to see some negative comments, no complaints from me.

I ordered a hamper for my son in law's birthday; I told him the present was coming from Italy and might not arrive in time (I think he was expecting a football shirt). He rang me yesterday (his birthday) to say the hamper had just arrived and was a wonderful surprise. The only downside is that,due to the lockdown, I won't be able to partake of the wine and other goodies....I will have to order my own!

Wine ordered on 10 April and eventually received on 14 May. I gave a 1 star review based on Giordano Customer service and lack of reasonable responses to queries on delay. I am now prepared to give a 5 star review based on the received goods. Am enjoying the first and second bottle of wine and foods are excellent.
Unfortunately Giordano seem to be blaming Yodel on delays. I have never had a good review to make for Yodel on past performance (and I would not have ordered from Giordano if I had known there Yodel were delivering) but on this occasion Yodel kept me informed of progress all the way. And their delivery time from receipt at their hub to my front door could not have been bettered.
I think it very unlikely I will order from Giordano again unless I can see some evidence that their customer service improves substantially.

Wine was out for delivery with Yodel on 4th of May. One month after order and paying for it. That's bad enough!

14th of May its still out for delivery with Yodel.

Yodel cant and wont help- either will Giordano...…… Clearly something has happened and the delivery has been lost.

I need my wine or I need my money back... No customer service or help.

Avoid like the plague.

I ordered a wine delivery on 13th April and received an email on 30th April saying it was on its way but heard nothing since. I have had lots of wine in the past with no problems and I realise that these are difficult times but if they can't deliver within a reasonable time they shouldn't be operating -and I received yet another marketing email today. Another worry is that the emails I have sent have bounced back

I placed an order for wine on 11th April.
They took my money but still no sign of the wine.
I got an E mail from their delivery agent "Yodel" saying they would deliver on 11 May.
Their tracking system shows that they delivered but they haven't and I was in all day , (Isolating)
I have been in con tact with help desks 3 times to no avail.
I can't seem to get my money back

Took my Boss’s money on the 5th of April (following my recommendation)
After a month, they finally admitted that they don’t have the wines offered !
Then they alleged that the wines were now with Yodel, but Yodel deny having received anything, so we can only assume that this is more delaying tactics.
Neither of us will ever order anything from them again, and we will do our best to deter everyone we know from buying from them (we have over 30,000 connections between us)

After placing 2 orders with Giordano Vini I was very concerned by some of the postings I read on Trustpilot and wondered if I would ever receive them. Like other customers, I knew the order was coming from Italy (also locked down by COVID) so I decided to wait and see. I was kept informed of the progress of my order and latterly was able to track it on the Yodel website. Sure enough, it arrived a month after the order was placed - which was understandable under the circumstances -, the contents are excellent and I'm very pleased. Perhaps those expecting an Amazon Prime type 24 or 48 hour delivery service will be disappointed by Giordano, but I'm not!

I ordered on 6th April without fully appreciating that these wines were coming from Italy and not a UK warehouse. I was informed by email on 21st April that the order had been delayed due to increase in demand, and Yodel suspending deliveries for a week. I was notified on 25th April that order was with Yodel. I received my delivery on 30th April. Despite the wait I was happy that I was kept informed and considering this delivery was made during lockdown I was extremely pleased with the service.
The wine is delicious, and the food items with my order are superb quality. All in all, a great product at a very reasonable price. I have just placed another order to allow plenty of time for delivery. Giordano also don’t ask you to sign up for a regular delivery which I see as a bonus. Have already recommended and would do so again.

I’ve now ordered two lots of wine from Giordano. First one took around 5 weeks to arrive but this latest delivery came within 2 weeks. The quality of the wines is excellent! Every bottle delicious and refreshing. I did chase my first order and someone got back to me promptly promising delivery by the end of that week and it arrived as they said it would. If you are willing to wait, you won’t regret it! I’ll be ordering from Giordano from now on and recommending to my friends.

Wine excellent value and extras very tasty.Took about 4 weeks to arrive, but exceptional circumstances. Agree with a previous review that more information on progress would be helpful. Will be ordering again.

I have been a long standing customer of Giordano's but recently there customer service policy has caused me to stop buying from them
I complained about some shards of glass coming of the bottles of Frizzante when being opened (they are very difiicult to uncork!) - had to throw 3 bottles away.
After a very lengthy and convoluted process I was offered the princely refund of £10 in total - less than half the price paid. It was a case of 'the system says no' and now I ma saying no.
The customer service system generally is awful - approach with great care.

I placed an order with this company on the 3oth April.After 2 weeks I contacted them as I had seen no sign of shipping they told me they were waiting on glasses and it will take another week.
A week later still no wine and then was told waiting on some wines to arrive.
I then got an email with a delivery notice yodel for another week still no wine.
I contacted them and was told by Sara yodel would send more tracking information 26th May .I then told her to
cancel order and the refund was open. The following week I went through PayPal refund procedure and 2 days later yodel tracking stated parcel on the way to me which I could not understand then on friday 29th may stated parcel sent back to sender due to me moving ???.yodel now saying parcel in transit on the way back to Italy. I again messaged to find out were my refund is and I have now been told will take 10 to 15 days. This has been going on since the 30th paypal will intervene if not sorted by 15th June .It does not take length of time for a refund. The customer. Service is shocking. I appreciate there is a pandemic but if I was just kept informed about what was happening. .other companies have delivered no issues from other countries. So can I please have my refund I have waited long enough its now 2nd June .I have taken a screenshot of the yodel tracking.
Got the answer below and still waiting for my refund which in the 28th may was told would take 10 to 15 days no more tracking info from yodel.
Will require to get PayPal involved if not resolved next couple of days.

Ordered 2 weeks ago. Forget I had ordered it and when it arrived I was more than happy. Red wine is quality and all the nibbles and plates are high standard. Very happy

My elderly mother has been a happy client of Giodarno for 29 years. 10 weeks ago she ordered wine which didn’t arrive. The tttracking note shows delivery was attempted but no note was left. My mother struggles to contact the company when eventually they answer the phone they promise to resolve the problem but nothing happens. Instead they try to sell her more wine! Don’t even reimburse her. Stay away!
