Michael was our driver. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Charleston and very friendly. The audio system in the tour bus was very good also. We enjoyed the tour of the city and he then took us to the ferry for the Ft. Sumter tour and was available to return us to the visitor center after the tour of the fort.

I would recommend the Gray Line tour of Charleston. We purchased the historical tour/Fort Sumter package. Booking and getting to the attractions were easy and convenient. My favorite activity while visiting the city.

I had a tour , actually two yours fir my susyercand I and had to cancel because of the virus. I a. Still waiting fir my refund and ot has been more than ten days. Anxious

Great tour of Charleston with lots of information on the history of both Charleston and individual buildings. Well worth the cost!

I’ve gone on Grayline Tours in many cities and have always enjoyed them until Charleston. I was on the 11:00 am City Tour on 11/17 with a male guide who was unpleasant. I have a disability and require a Service Dog. I keep my Service Dog in a stroller and the stroller also doubles as a mobility device. I was required to leave my stroller at the Visitor’s Center and there was no locked facility where I could leave it. I was forced to leave it at the Center. I was told there had never been a stroller stolen before. Be that as it may, I was VERY uneasy about leaving my stroller unattended because if it had been stolen, I would have REALLY been in trouble! Fortunately, my stroller was there when I returned to the Visitors Center. But I was very apprehensive the whole time on my tour. That didn’t help with my anxiety. My stroller is the same thing as a wheelchair. Being without my stroller is very uncomfortable for me. I ASKED the tour company before booking my tour if there were going to be any issues with the dog stroller and I was assured MANY times before my tour that my stroller wouldn’t be a problem. It ended up being a problem. And I was forced to leave my stroller. It effected how much I enjoyed my tour which means I didn’t enjoy it all that much and the guide was pretty callous about how important my stroller is to my well being.

Our driver was excellent - his knowledge of the architecture and history of Charleston was amazing and we really enjoyed our trip.

The driver and narrator, was excellent. Michael was extremely knowledgeable of the Charleston area and history.

The tour left on time, the coach was clean and comfortable, the driver/guide was knowledgeable and spoke clearly.

Our tour guide was friendly and obviously very knowledgeable, however, he spoke much to fast and tried to include far too much information. It was very difficult for all 4 of us on the tour to digest all that he was telling us. We had 2 different Uber drivers who drove on some of the same streets and provided similar information, but what they shared was the most important information, rather than ALL the information.

Historic city tour:
Roy, our guide, was incredibly knowledgable and personable, ably covering many topics throughout the tour from economic, architectural, military and culinary history to contemporary Charleston and its planned growth. He was really terrific. The bus seats could be more comfortable, but were fine for an hour and a half.

We really enjoyed the Gray Line tour of historic Charleston, SC and Fort Sumpter. It was very informative and the guide was professional and very friendly.

Easy to book online, Very humorous & informative guide (Michael?) and learning about Charleston’s history in August in air-conditioned comfort..what could be better??! A first bus tour for us but not the last!!
