I attended the H&H auction at the National motorcycle museum on 4th March 2018 . What a great venue just a pity the auction was shambolic. I was interested in a couple of lots which I duly bought but was not able to remove the motorcycles until the auction had finished .The auction progressed very slowly with a lot of small bids taking up a lot of time and some items being auctioned which actually were not there! The Auction took 5 hours to complete and then when I could leave I discovered a motorcycle I had purchased described as "Being in good running order" in the catalogue had no keys.Obviously I would have bid a lot less had I realised this. I tried to sort out the lack of keys with Mark Bryan at the auction and he said they would chase this up. Needless to say despite phoning the H&H office the next week I still have no keys for a £6000 motorcycle. So buyer beware please do not make my mistake.

Little like pulling hens teeth is best way to describe this auction experience i understand they are trying to get the best deal for sellers but come on guys you need to be a little faster no wonder it took so long to get through the lots on offer, you are also working for buyers trying to squeeze an extra 25 quid on a several thousand pound bid is unjust.
The drivel was tedious and at times personal putting buyers down is not professional, to auction lots and then announce that it had been withdrawn shows unprofessionalism by the auction house.

not great but not bad - as ever the event was in a venue to small to easily handle the crowds (which were actually lower than expected) the British auction houses really need to see how they do it in the US - Mecum in particular - huge venues - good facilities - minimal chat (the H&H auctioneers tend to repeat exactly what you can read in the catalogue) - but alwys a better experience than Bonhams

I was charged £90 out of the blue for storage despite never being notified, having been in constant communication with this firm from the day of purchasing a vehicle from them. Tried to pick the vehicle up and nobody was on site as they were in their words ‘all away at an auction’

When my agent attended, caused embarrassment to me and the driver. Holding us to ransom for additional fee. I had to leave a hospital appointment to rectify the situation , obtain a card and pay under duress over the phone.

Vehicle was delivered, full of rubbish (not described in sale catalogue) and without the Vehicle Log Book or any history.
Clearly said that the Log Book was included . Was told over the phone there was ‘ some history on file’. Was concerned as the. Vehicle on DVLA website has less miles now than when it did five years ago according to MOT history!

I am very dissatisfied with my experience , having bought numerous cars in the past from them. Despite emailing the firm, have not received a response.

Considering a formal complaint to Trading Standards and Ombudsman.

I sold and bought with H&H at the same sale - the first one I have ever been to. All of the staff I met were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable, and I was treated with respect. As a novice at buying and selling at auction, I found that they had thought of everything and gave a highly professional service. I was pleasantly surprised to have such a good experience.
I actually can't fault them.

We found that the domain for this business is older than two years which could be an indication that this is a trustworthy business with an established customer base and experience in their field.
