Herdy Sleep

I purchased a king size mattress and two wool pillows from Herdy Sleep, from the start the communication from the company was excellent, keeping me informed of delivery times and making sure that everything arrived together next day, I informed them it was our wedding anniversary and I needed everything in time, and they even sent a little pressie of two lovely Herdy sleep mugs.
Having now slept on the Mattress for two weeks through the recent heatwave, I can say it's superbly comfortable and kept me cool underneath even though the night air was so warm. So would recommend Herdy sleep wholeheartedly as we are really happy with the whole experience.

The mattress was a tad firmer than l expected but still VERRY VERRY comfortable.When ordered the staff was very polite and helpful l then ordered a mattress protector which made the mattress feel even MORE comfortable,l now sleep like a little lamb????????
First class products,first class service from a first class company,would recommend to anybody????????.

I have tried several of the bed-in-a-box mattresses without finding one that suits me.
Memory foam usually makes me overheat badly, even the “cooling gel” type, and most of them have proved to be too firm for me. Having old spinal injuries makes it very difficult for me to find the right combination of pressure relief and support.

Then I tried the Herdy.

It is an excellent mattress, well padded and giving good support – the best of the bunch so far.

The ordering and delivery process was flawless – good communications, and delivered within a week of ordering by a polite and pleasant two-man team who took it right to the bedroom for me.
After unpacking, I slept on it and found it to be very comfortable – certainly more so than it’s predecessor. In the middle of the summer heatwave I was lovely and cool on the Herdy.

Unfortunately, over the period of the 100 night trial, as I got used to the mattress I realized I wasn’t really getting sufficient pressure relief for my damaged spine. I did try a padded topper on the mattress which made it a little bit softer, and I then rang Herdy to ask whether they had any other suggestions, since I didn’t feel I should have to put a topper on the mattress if it was the right one.

The customer service staff were pleasant, helpful and honest. They pointed out that if I needed a topper on the Herdy, perhaps it wasn’t quite right for me after all, echoing my own thoughts.
Mass marketed mattresses tend to be a little firm since that is the preference of the “average” person. It was suggested that I might try a different supplier who could offer a range of softness options, or go for something cheaper with a good quality topper to get the same effect.

In the end, with reluctance, I did return my Herdy mattress.
It really is an excellent mattress, but sadly not quite right for me.

The return process was as good as delivery – good communication, and a two-man team who collected the mattress from the bedroom.

They collected on a Saturday and I received my full refund on the Monday.

I cannot recommend this company highly enough – give them a try.

I was given a choice of (only two) delivery dates and the delivery men were prompt and helpful. I did phone Herdysleep prior to buying the mattress with a technical query but they didn't get back to me. I ordered anyway and am happy with the purchase.

I love the mattress and the service I received; but I feel that sending a small toy made in Asia damages the ethos of the company. If non UK third parties are required to deliver the product then HerdySleep should be more transparent about it versus strongly implying that all stages of the process are driven out of the north of England.

Best nights sleep I've had for many years.
I'm am OAP and have problems with Comfort. No aching limbs or dead arms after first weeks use. The bed is very comfortable, great support but luxurious feel.

Although we didn’t get the delivery on the planned date, they explained the driver had an accident and called on a Sunday to rearrange around me to re-deliver

I was looking for a mattress to replace an Ikea mattress which although quite comfortable was very hot during the night. I liked the idea of a wool mattress and having checked out a few on the Internet decided that the Herdwick sheep with their coarser wool was worth a try. I was not risking too much as I could return it within 100 days, over my dead body..... From the moment I lay on it (after the 24hr rest period) I knew I had done the right thing. The mattress keeps me cool at night and is so comfortable without being soft perfectly justifying the Herdy Sleep policy of only making one quality. Well done Herdy Sleep and the Herdwick sheep I thoroughly recommend this mattress.

Mattress was in situ within 48 hours of ordering! The delivery people were cheerful and prompt. Couldn't do better than that.

The service was great, we did not want the mattress to be delivered for about 6 weeks , so they very kindly sorted that out.

Bed is comfortable and is warm in these winter months. A disappointment was the mattress is not as "organic" as the adverts suggest, am still 2 weeks on having to air the room from the smell of fire retardent chemicals and insecticides sprayed on the mattress. Not as bad as others i have bought in the past, but still would sooner no chemicals. Arrived in 8 working days. Do be sure to doubly inform the delivery company in advance if they are taking your old mattress on the day, as tghis became an issue for me briefly when they arrived. Would have given the bed 5 stars if not for the chemicals used.

I was kept up to date with regards to delivery and even though they had an issue with their usual couriers, they still ensured that the mattress was delivered at the original agreed day.

Dealt with Alison on the phone and she was so helpful.

We received our mattress within five days of ordering it and received updates and notification of when it would arrive. It was delivered on time and the delivery man helped us inside with the box. The instructions to open it were very clear and a little plastic cutter was enclosed to help cut open the plastic wrapping. We also appreciated the little woolen Herdwick sheep which comes with the mattress- a nice touch.

With regret, i had to return this as it as slightly too firm for me (side sleeper, 6 foot solid build) and got a simba which did the trick. However i would highly recommend this bed and company to people who like a slightly firmer luxury mattress . I got the initial nice feel when getting first in, but it doesn't sink or support any further which i personally needed. I tried putting a 3 inc latex mattress topper on it, but it didn't help.
The return process and refund process was very good as well.

Shame they don't do a softer version, but that's what the 100 day trial is for.

Ordering and delivery was great and we had a delivery day within 5 days of ordering, the chaps called ahead of time and arrived at the time they said they would. The unboxing and watching the mattress expand was somewhat hypnotic!

Once it arrived late into tje evening it was an excellent product and the complimenty mug was a bery nice surprise
