Hive workd well, but the app has no instructions and is not intuitive - weird layout that does not make sense. I can schedule and turn on boost, but still don't know how it works really - there are paged that just baffle me....

Happy with Hive heating but was supposed to get a free Echo Dot as part of the deal.
Hive fitted 6/3/20 and code was sent to me 31/3/20 by Ryan Customer Service Manager after emails to say haven’t received. Went onto Amazon website to purchase item with code attached to email sent by Ryan after many attempts the code was not accepted after speaking to Amazon about this they have informed me to refer it back to Hive.
Sent email to Hive 31/3/20 explaining to them the situation and to date no one has had the decency to reply to email. Poor show from Hive.
A quick update to the above done a live chat on Hive website with Gabriela she managed to sort out new code on Monday 20/4/20 and Echo Dot was delivered 22/4/20 that’s much better service and a big thanks to Gabriela. ??????

TRV vales are a waste of time and money, there are clearly not developed ready for market. I bought 5 as a deal and I have one of them working, three of them do not do as I have programmed and the last one will just not calibrate. the thermostat is okay.

Don’t bother getting a hive plug. Trying to set a schedule for it to come on and go off is a nightmare. The timings I put in change to completely different times. Waste of space!
Having already got the Philips Hue range I decided to go for a Hue smart plug and hey presto! Worked straight away with good connection and easy to set timer and routines. Go for it!

Absolute joke. Paid over £400, took 4 weeks to arrive and yet I paid for next day delivery. Has was left freezing with no thermostat and was charge for abortive visit from plumber. Was told lies. No one admitted responsibility. Asked for money back - told me it would have to be a cheque - my nearest bank is miles away. What did I get as a gratuity.......a light bulb!! Once system finally arrived the system is pretty good but I would never buy from them again.

Fantastic product at a great price. Quick and straightforward installation by a lovely BG engineer. Engineer talked through the app and controls. So much easier to operate than our old panel - wish we’d done it sooner!

Average performance but expensive although I haven't tried competitors.

Clunky app, thermostat hit more than miss communication to hub but still misses somtimes.

Thermostatic valves okish, 2 paired no problem but the 3rd needed hard reset which I can only find the instruction on how to do on YouTube or digging deep into the Hive forum and at that it was a user that helped.
Valves are also a bit slow to turn on too even when calibration is done, which also takes an age and your heating has to be on therefore mine took several days to calibrate and I had to force the heating on by putting the thermostat to a unachievable high setting.

The thermostat looks nice.

Would I buy again..... 50/50.

We bought two cameras as my father lives alone and we wanted to keep an eye on him. Easy to set up, a great picture and night vision is excellent. If you want piece of mind and watch live or recorded footage these are great cameras. The reason for 3 stars is that one of cameras has repeatedly played up. 1) constantly recording for 20 hours 2) no picture but could hear. Both times meant playing with settings, off and on again, running the battery down etc. With only 4 weeks to live, we were reluy to reset the camera and loose the footage. Fortunately we had a second camera, had we not, the stress factors of looking after a relative and relying on this camera alone would have gone through the roof. In summary, buy with some caution. Hive - sort your customer service out.

Great system and has worked very well but why oh why is the electric plug design so poor! Once the USB lead is in place it stands 8cms from the socket. The broadband and telephone plugs next to it are only 3cms away. I damaged the lead knocking it with the cleaner as it so difficult to avoid and "chatted" for 20mins before the agent closed without resolving the broken USB problem.
Yes, I can go out and buy a new plug and lead but paying so much for the Hive, Nov 2019, why should I? Cheap parts for an otherwise great product, come on Centrica sort this out.

So far so good , I bought Hive Heating ( I have a combi-boiler ) , had it installed by my usual gaz engineer 3 days ago and all is good. The sync between the hub, themostat and boiler is not that obvious to setup , but once done all is good , I setup all my schedules , and was amazed that my house does not go below 18 degrees during the day when the heating is off. (it is now 4 degrees outside) . I find the thermostat a bit bulky and does not look good in a lounge , but I guess this is a matter of taste :) Love my Hive so far.

Hive is great it’s convenient and I can control it from just about anywhere. My only gripe is; I bought mine direct from British Gas, so I didn’t qualify for the Echo Dot free offer - that’s a shame really. I didn’t realise at the time of purchase that buying direct from BG would disqualify me from the promotion. Seems a bit petty but hey, that doesn’t diminish how convenient HIVE is.

No issues with Hive thermostat and a self installed camera. Just make sure the outdoor camera has a good Wi-fi signal ?
Really stable. It’s a pity people are slating the actual product when they are having installation issues, although I’d be angry too. Just get an hearing engineer to fit it and buy it separate.

The hub was a bit of a pain to set up took about half hour because it seemed to do everything that it wasn't supposed to do. Once it was sorted tho everything ran seamlessly. Really easy to use and add other products such as lightbulbs and sensors. Definitely happy with my purchase and the hub fits in as it’s fairly small and nice looking. Glad of my purchase. Even better it was all half price thanks to BG rewards. Extremely happy!
