Probably the worst customer service experience I have ever had, and certainly the worst with a self-catering agency. The property (Beacon Farmhouse in Michaelchurch Escley) was absolutely filthy, in a dire state of repair, and infested with insects. We left after being unable to raise the property manager on the phone, and there has been almost a complete lack of communication from the agency ever since. Currently fighting for a refund, and I am guessing that we are going to end up in small claims court over this. First such experience in over twenty years of staying in self-catering properties.

They take no pride in themselves. They (charlie) cancelled our trip last week to Norfolk by email the day before saying they would help us rebook which we said we wanted to do. They didn't answer our email they completely ignored us. AVOID

Yes absolutely, because of the Coronavirus our holiday abroad was cancelled and we booked the cottage on the Saturday and arrived on the Monday afternoon. Very pleased with the efficiency.

Lovely airy spacious cottage, in secluded spot with great communication from owners, beautiful lounge area with steps leading up to kitchen, lovely low beams.... although entertaining for my 6ft 7” son, thank you for a lovely stay

Would definitely use them again, I was helped by a lady called Marion she was lovely so helpful and got me the booking at short notice I was really impressed with her service.

We asked for an extra day, it was available but the company wanted to charge an extra booking fee which took the cost from about £80 for a day to £150. We thought this was out of order so booked b&B in the town. Not impressed.

Excellent, we booked on the same day we were due to fly to the Canary Islands, I telephoned at 9am to book the cottage and by 10am everything was booked and confirmed. All in all I spoke to 3 female members of staff, all of whom were helpful, efficient and very friendly. We had a lovely break and can’g praise your staff highly enough. Thank you.

After our holiday to Prague being cancelled the day before flying which was at the weekend, we booked a cottage in Somerset. As it was the weekend the email stated that the booking would be confirmed in working hours but was travelling the following day. We called Holiday Cottages as needed confirmation as going the next day, they were brilliant. Confirmed that booking had been received took my number and advised would call me back. They called me back within 15 minutes and had called the property sorted everything out and then promptly send a confirmation email with the details. They had also given the host my number who then called me to ask if there was anything we needed getting in for when we arrived and confirm details.

When the DVD player broke on one break the local agent brought and set up a new one herself after work.
In this last break we needed to contact the office about a drooping curtain the contact number did not connect. We left a note for the cleaner.

I booked the night before the rental and you were prompt with the booking and you sent me a payment link and directions. The pictures and description on the propperty matched what I received. A very good service.

We booked our cottage break when the coronavirus was really taking off I sent a couple of enquiries off by email and was answered almost immediately also when I arrived at the cottage I noticed a radiator had a small leak I contacted them again by email as phone lines were busy within 30 mins they had phoned me telling me they had contacted the owner who said he would come around straight away to fix it ...brilliant service

I was told that someone would contact me to take a security deposit 10 days before the holiday. I waited for this but it did not happen.

Personal touches - owner phoned to check up on us on the first night and left a gorgeous local hamper for our arrival. High level of cleanliness. Location is perfect for people trying to get away from city life - quiet road, fields behind the property, you can see the coast. Overall a fantastic experience.

A little disjointed when booking, called owners to check if 5 day booking acceptable but then would only speak to partner, who was at work, not person who made enquiry 10 minutes earlier.
