Ordered 30 Nov, received 30 Dec. Ordered the Coaster Wall Unit which is advertised on HFM website as "Solid Wood and Wood Veneer". This is not true, 98% of the product is MDF and paper veneer. The only solid wood is the wooden dowels included in the hardware bags. I am very unhappy however, It's my fault for not doing more investigation on my part and I'll live with my mistake. Shipping also took longer than advertised.

I ordered a table and 6 chairs for a total of over $1000. I was waiting for the order to be shipped out, but upon delay I started contacting them. It took several emails and voicemails to get a response (note that they never pick up the phone, so voicemail was the only option). They told me some story about a delay at the manufacturer so I just thanked them for the info and went back to waiting. I think you know where this is going now... After several more unanswered emails and phone calls, I did not have a choice but to go through my credit card company to get the money refunded since I can't even get them on the phone to cancel my order.

Got email that order was processed (they charged my account) BUT item out of stock and will not ship for 2-3 MONTHS!!! 10 phone calls went unanswered and 4 emails got no response.

Ordered product 8/1, and they state it will deliver in 2 weeks. called a couple times at around 2 weeks and was told it would ship in my week. called back 1 week later and told it is further delayed...finally shipped 8/27. Product arrived That Friday, almost 1 month after order.

I could have lived with that if not for the condition the product arrived in. While there were 2 small holes in the box, it looked fine. I didn't make the driver wait, as I thought that was only necessary when the box shows clear damage. We opened the box the next morning and saw some minor damage where one of the holes were...shame on us for not looking closer..again we would have fixed/dealt with that. As we opened the rest of the box, we discovered multiple walls that were cracked/bent, the back falling off the unit, a chunk broken off the base, etc. After seeing the lack of packing materials in the box (2 small pieces of styrofoam near the base, and cardboard on each corner), it no wonder the product arrived damaged.

We immediately called and left a message with the company about the issue. Of course, no response. 5 days later i finally get someone who has me fill out the damage link (on 9/4). It is now 9/17, and after 5 different calls to get a status update with NO returned messages, i finally get a response that basically says its not their problem. Of course, I will not be using this website or any of their sister websites to furnish the rest of our house.

Only good thing was the price, which is obviously from inferior products and poor packing/customer service

I odered on June 26 upon check out it said I would have my order in 5 days I recieved one e-mail stating 1-2 weeks it would ship out. I sent a couple e-mails that were not responded to and called twice. One call got answered and I got a very rude receptionist that said my order would ship out at the end week. That was last week and I still don't have a shipping confirmation. I received one e-mail a couple days saying the manafacturer had a large order and has prlonged shipping.I responded with some questions and still did not get a response. Three weeks out still no product and only have talked to rude people. My credit card was charged 3 weeks ago I'm almost not sure this is a scam.

I ordered a dining room table on September 25th and was told it would ship within 1-2 weeks. On September 30th a representative called and told me that this item would ship the week of October 5th. On October 5th I called and was told that the table should be in their warehouse on Monday, October 12th and I should receive it on October 14th. I began calling them on Monday, October 12th but there was either no answer when I choose a specific extension or when the extension answered it rang busy 3 times and hung up. I then began sending e-mails to them and as of today October 15th have not received any communication back. I have tried unsuccessfully on each day (October 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th) via e-mail and phone and have been unable to speak to anyone regarding the status of my order. I FAX'd over a communication yesterday (October 14th) stating that if I did not hear from someone within 24 hours you left me no choice but to cancel my order. I have again tried this morning to reach you by phone but your phone system no matter which choice I make continues back with the same message. Obviously you have either gone out of business or are no longer taking phone calls.

I ordered an item on 10/11/15, company cancels the order, however the company still hasn't returned the money back to my account. I have left several voice messages and as well sent several emails, to which no one has responded. Every time I call, I get a recorded message. It makes believe that this is scam organization and i'm out of $1600 bucks!! What reputable business that has an 800 never has anyone answering their phone lines!! I am in the process of seeking legal recourse. I will spread the word on this company!!!

Even though the product was on the backorder and shipped in two weeks after I placed an order. I was really pleased with my entire experience dealing with Home Furniture Mart. I like that they have customer service people that actually answer the phones. They were well informed on their products, and when they couldn't answer my question, they called the manufacturer, and called my back with the correct information. Would not hesitate to order from them again.

Ordered a king bedroom set on 8/29 which indicated it would ship in 2 - 3 weeks. It is now 10/10 and I have been told three weeks in a row that it would ship on Friday. It is now the 3rd Saturday and I have received no shipping notification and no call indicating that the furniture would again, not be coming. The customer service reps have been very general on the phone and provide little help only to say that it will likely ship on Friday which never happens. I have also had to be the one to reach out for contact, rather than being notified proactively when I should expect my order. Very disappointed because we are currently living in our guest room until we have furniture. Would not recommend due to poor customer service and consistently delayed delivery.

I ordered a Wall Entertainment Center from Home Furniture Mart, it arrived within the 2 weeks promised and was absolutely beautiful. Better than pictured. Customer service was great, I called in for update on my order after the first week and was promised it would ship the following week, within 2 days I got a email confirming my order was shipped. Would definitely refer this company to all family and friends looking to furnish their home.

The dining room set we ordered was on back order so I was a bit nervous that we would get it when promised, four to six weeks. We got it as promised in four weeks and it was perfect. The staff at HFM were great from the lady that answered the calls to the lady that scheduled the delivery. The delivery guys set everything up and made sure everything was perfect. A very clean and efficient delivery. I called several times regarding status and was always treated with respect and they went out of their way to call the manufacturer to get answers . I would highly recommend HFM. The dining room set was actually much nicer than it looked on line. Thank you Edward and your staff for your quality of service and great product.

I recently purchased an expensive queen sleigh bed from this merchant. Upon arrival of the bed I noticed a crushed area of one box and sure enough the rail was damaged. I immediately took pictures and notified the seller. I was advised I would get a quick response as to either a replacement part or repair. That was ten days ago and I've heard nothing. I have since contacted the company twice but no one has ever called back to assist me in resolving this issue. So please be aware! If you buy from this seller and need assistance later you might just be completely on your own.

I have no agenda with this merchant or any other, like you I just wanted a good experience and I paid upfront. The owner's comments are not at all the experience I had with his company. There is a gash/dent in this furniture, for which I was asked to supply photos and did so immediately on the very day I received the shipment.(My next door neighbor helped me unpack the boxes in my garage and also noticed the crushed wood where shipping damage had occurred.)
After I emailed the photos to the seller, and additionally requested a replacement 3" bolt that was stripped, the office person at Homefurnituremart.com advised me by email that she would get back to me. That was the last I heard from her. No one, not even the owner in his aggravated emails, has ever offered to fix, replace or take back any parts of this bed. After more than a week of silence I emsailed asking if the company was planning on leaving this customer with the damage. No response. Three or four days later I phoned and spoke with another individual. I politely explained I hadn't heard from anyone and since I could not find another dealer to buy the night stands I wanted to match the bed, I had a proposition. I would pay someone locally to repair the damage if the seller would give me a 10% discount on the nightstands I would order through them. I had spent hours online looking for another seller for those night stands but found no other source willing to ship to my small town. And at no time did anyone at the seller's offer to sell the night stands at any price, nor repair the bed, nor ship/mail the 3" bolt! I was told that someone would get back to me with an answer. Again, nothing. Out of shear frustration I wrote to Wynwood, the supplier of the furniture asking if there were other dealers I could purchase the night stands from. Eventually I produced my one star rating and comments. Amazing but THAT got the seller's attention - and it was sarcastic and extraordinarily rude. The owner has sent three or four rude emails, not once offering to speak with me, nor to resolve anything. Then his rebuke of my rating below. Unbelievable! Why was all this necessary?

Not only did it take 3 months to receive the furniture I ordered, the first time it was delivered it was horribly damaged so they had to re-send it. Then when they finally sent it again 3 months later, one piece has a defect in it. Holes drilled into the piece to hold a shelf up were made too big. I've talked to the company a dozen times and have written several e-mails and have been promised resolution, but so far nothing! I've had the piece 8 months and still no resolution. Now they will not return my phone calls or e-mails.
Today, I finally got a response to an email saying they sent me new shelf supports weeks ago, but I haven't received them. I'll let you know what happens.
Okay, so now they have sent shelf supports that are a little bigger but still not exactly the size to fit the holes drilled into the furniture. I am tired of dealing with them at this point. I will try to make what I have work using some wood putty or something. I think some of the people working at HFM try but all in all they have problems; delays in getting your furniture to you, problems with the furniture they deliver, and not fixing those problems in a timely and complete manor. Beware of shopping here.

Every time I've tried to call and find out where my product is I get the run around and this last time when I insisted that they give me a tracking number she told me I have no common sense and that she can't give me a tracking number until the package is on the truck.

I then asked to speak to a supervisor as I became worried that I'd never see my furniture or money again and she screamed it's too late I'm refunding your money and hung up on me. In know way did I ask for a refund, I just want to know when exactly my package will arrive so I can plan for a helper to unload. I was promised 1-2 week delivery on May 8th and it's June 4th. Clearly I've been mis lead a bit and just want some answers. I don't want this to happen to any other consumers as spending large amounts of money online can be so frustrating and stressfull as it is.


This is in addition to Edwards response. I have not seen the money credited back to my account so please don't make that claim just yet. I did want to wait for the product, when I asked for a tracking number your associate kept telling me that wasn't possible and when I asked why she told me to get some common sense. I think if any consumer where to head over to the google reviews and read the REAL reviews from actual buyers they'll see this isn't the first time your company has put someone in a tough situation. I did not ask for a credit she wouldn't let me speak to her manager and just screamed that she is cancelling my order. Also Edward if you wanted to speak with me about this why haven't you returned my call I left this afternoon? Seems like you don't want to deal with the situation correctly.

I ordered a 60 wood and stone top table to arrive in 2-3 weeks. They lied, they ordered it from China when I ordered and refused to give me my money back without a penalty fee when I told them I needed the furniture in 3 weeks from the date ordered. Four months + later it arrived with the holes drilled incorrectly for the screws and a big 18" gash on the edge of the table (the apron). I filled out the paperwork and sent in with fotos and the copy of Bill of Lading delineating damage. Have not heard back despite calls and emails. I am going to contact my credit card, the BBB and the Attorney General of California to file a report....I have found reviews for the company on Yahoo; over 160 complaints just like mine and worse. NEVER EVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY THEY ARE LIARS, CHEATS AND THIEVES.

I ordered a kitchen table a month ago, I have emailed customer service and the sales department to check the status but have received no response. I have also called both customer service numbers, one is not a working number and the other one just rings and rings until the phone goes silent. I am shocked this sham of a company is still up and running. I will be disputing the charges with my bank as the next step.
