I ordered a bookcase set (3 pieces) 3 weeks ago. I put together 2 and the third turned out to be missing the hardware. After trying for hours to talk to someone on the phone we finally got a very helpful person to order the missing hardware. The problem is that it will take about 10 days to 2 weeks to get here. Without the third shelf I cannot complete the pieces and my office is a mess of boxes and half built furniture.

Bought $400 of stuff online. I'm sure it would have been great stuff, but we never received it. My husband and I were both home anxiously waiting the day it was supposed to be delivered. Nobody ever knocked. The whole day passes by. Still no ikea. I get an email from IKEA saying they want us to pay $50 more to deliver it. Why are they charging me twice for a service they never provided? I called ikea support, and they said that apparently nobody will come to deliver the items unless you answer a call from an unknown number a couple hours beforehand. I never answer calls from unknown numbers. It should be illegal to charge people for services you did not provide. I will not be paying for redelivery, and ikea is refusing to refund the $50 I already paid for delivery. Unfortunately, I paid with a debit card, so there is no way to dispute the transaction. We will never purchase from ikea again.

They delivered me a broken sofa which is not possible to assemble and they told me that earliest day they can pick up this garbage is in 5 days and I have to live with it in the middle of my living room until then.

I order IKEA kitchen on March 30th,2020. I received half of the kitchen. After 25 days I received call from IKEA representative that order for other half is cancelled because IKEA does not have capacity to deliver my order? Ikea is still accepting online order but my order is cancelled! After that I received email from no reply IKEA : "delivery company has attempted contacting you on several occasions to schedule a delivery appointment, however, they have not heard back from you and shipping and handling costs are non-refundable "?? Where is integrity of IKEA?? I never received a call. In addition, what I am going to do with another half of the kitchen that is now useless? Gzim Gusinjac

I visited the Oak Creek store in Wisconsin yesterday. It was a beautiful store. It was clean and bright. The displays were outstanding. However, when it came time to purchase the products there were none available in stock to purchase. By the fourth item I was beginning to get frustrated. They dont sell the display items. The employee offered to ship to me for $9.00 shipping and handling. No thanks. It just took us 2 hours to get here. Without the products to purchase it is just a museum. Disappointed and I don't plan to return to this store.

Ordered online they took money out of account next day, weeks went by no call no delivery. I cancelled the order it has been 3 weeks still no refund has been issued of my $1500.00, went into the store they didn't care. I used to love IKEA, but honestly now I wont have to think even one about going back. I tried uploading a pic of my cancelled order # 302070419009 but they wouldn't let me upload a pdf it had to be jpeg, png, gif (FIGURES) I will pursue this till I get my money.

I want to simply return an item (with a receipt and unopened) but there is a huge wait, so thought I'd write this. I've also just collected items from the online collection. This area was empty and the staff are just waiting for customers to collect, I asked if they could process my return but they said no. It makes me think that a company who is so efficient in there production must be purposefully making the returns process difficult....

Generally the products are ok, but point of display info, particularly for modular stuff is poor. Instructions often poor. Lennart drawer cabinet fixings are totally innapropriate, being little plastic grommets that break when pushed in and I know they will not stay intact for long. I had to drill and use self tappers at several points on each drawer. Customer service insisted on calling me mate, even when I suggested he could use my real name or nothing at all

I've been trying to get in touch with ikea for days because I made a purchase two months ago and never received it. Today I managed to talk to an attendant, he made me wait 57 minutes and I could clearly hear him playing video games during the service. He didn't answer anymore even after I had passed the order number and I still don't have my problems solved. They could at least cancel the order instead of making me wait almost an hour for someone to play video games.

ORDER made the 21st of March . The order was supposed to be delivered on the 3rd of April and the day before the delivery everything was fine. I received the email and the sms. The day of the delivery as well I received a message with the hour slot.. but one hour before the hour slot ended I received an email saying it was rescheduled for the 17 of May. On the 15th of April I received another mail saying it was ( AGAIN) rescheduled for the 18th of April. So the 18th I was waiting again... with no delivery. Since the 18/04 there was no updates about my order. On the 1/05 I've talked to webchat customer service and the agent said me she was going to pass my case to the manager and that I would be received an email in few hours with the reschedule date between 2-7 days. This didn't happened. So on the 4/5 I've talked again with another person from the webchat customer service to understand what was going on. SHE RESCHEDULED ME FOR the 12/05.... The 12th morning I received a text message with the tracking and saying the delivery slot would be 8.15 - 12.15 . But the tracking was showing an order number that was not mine. AGAIN, I didn't receive anything. 12/05 I tried to talk with the customer service several times and after several times of trying and several pages saying that YOU WERE CLOSED ( at 1 pm of tuesday?) I got in touch through webchat to the customer service. She cancelled my order and she rescheduled me for the 25th of MAY ( AGAIN) and she send me and email just with the distribution note with no mention of "replacement of the old order" and neither was attached my old invoice of the payment. What surprise me most was that also the amount of the payment was different . No delivery expenses and prices of items different So ? I didn't receive any refund about this difference in price ... and this is NOT PROFESSIONAL . Tried again today to contact someone to discuss all my situation and this additional problem an no call center, no webchat. I AM DISGUSTED OF THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND AS WELL HOW YOU HANDLE THE DELIVERIES. This is not how a serious company works and treats his clients. LOST A CLIENT FOREVER. And GIVE MY MONEY BACK !

I received two (non furniture) items that we're damaged (worst packaging I have ever seen). I live nowhere near an Ikea, so tried to deal with the matter by phone. Get a phone menu, offering options 1 to 3. Three is what I need, but system won't accept it. Try option 2 (order tracking) and am told I will be transferred to the right department. I get automated message about high call volume and they "cannot answer right now." Click. So I try the email contact form online. Options under "about my order" are "business customer" or "order cancellation." Nothing else. Another dead end. What the heck is a customer supposed to do? Phoned again and tried option 1 (new orders) and the agent is now trying to get through to the right department. I am listening to screeching "music" and repeating recorded messages. My life is passing before my eyes. Never ordering from Ikea again.

I use to be all about Ikea but over the years I noticed the quality started to drop. I do not care for the remodel of the new store. You use to be able to pick up the item then go to check out. Now you have to pay then they retrieve it. Could take up to 30 minutes and if they're out of stock you get refunded. Parking is also a pain. If you like walking then you're okay. The store is a bit of a maze and even with directional arrows it's still a bit confusing.

Had to wait for 25 minutes on hot asphalt, in the sun, on a 100 degree day just to get into the building. Then had to wait 40 minutes to check out. What a waste of time! Guess what IKEA your cheap crap is not worth it!

I used to(past tense) love IKEA(but had never made a large purchase there before), so this pains me to write that they have miserably failed at even the slightest attempt at customer service. Where do I start on my hours and days of wasted time with "customer service" games? We started with a purchase of a couch and a few other items. When we got the couch the parts didn't fit exactly as they should and so a major part of the frame ended up being compromised as the sliding nob/notch that slides in literally split through the layered wood inner parts of the frame. I took pictures called IKEA had a hard time getting them(but not big deal). I ended up sending them pics to IKEA and they said they would send the whole couch minus the covers due to the fact that the parts were all interconnected at that point of the main frame and that was what they decided was needed(which made sense to me). The delivery was for a month plus, I think a month and a half due to COVID. I get it, was gracious. Well, the time goes by and they send me part of a couch. I start unpacking in hopes that maybe it was somehow all in there, but it was not. At this point I decide to call them before assuming I am to pull the wedged part out from the inside of the layers of wood. I didn't know what level of force I should do this or not do this at, and they had told me previously that they would be sending me a whole new couch and I wanted to just confirm that I was not to have more parts as well before starting. I call and get nothing, literally nothing. I have had messages that say we have too many calls at this time so sorry. I then call back and at this point get a waiting time, yay! I wait and get someone to help, they say I am not sure I what you should do after I ask them whether I should try it or not, and whether or not I was supposed to have all the parts of the couch arrive. They put me on hold to pass me on to the customer service manager. As I am waiting there for them they hang up on me. I call back and have to wait again for someone and then I get someone and tell them everything again and they put me on hold and I told them I got hung up and I think that they automatically hang up if you are on there for so long. Once again I am hung on again after so long of waiting to talk to the Customer Service manager or department. Then I, SIGH, call again and wait to get someone and this time I tell them again what has happened(Mind you somehow I am polite the whole entire time to everyone who keeps saying they will pass me on and then hang up on me). This time the young lady checks back every 5 minutes or so since I told her I think at like 20 minutes or so they automatically hang up on you as you wait. She was very kind(I know that this is a system set up by IKEA to not get customers resolved to avoid making things right that cost them money- this is not the regular employees doing any of this on purpose- at least not with the lower level employees). So I finally get passed on to the people I need to talk to, and once again I am very polite even though I know IKEA as a company is trying to avoid and dodge me in every way, even the most obvious ones. I then hear that they do not want me to try to pull the couch apart and that they made a mistake by sending me only part of the couch. They were to send me all the couch parts. She said in a day or two I will get a message about the other couch parts that are suppose to come to me (in another month or so). Mind you the one box we do have is about 8ft tall, about 3 wide, and about 2.5 deep. Remember that IKEA markets to people with smaller spaces so we had to keep this mega box in our house until when we thought the other box would arrive(don't hold your breath- here's the spoiler, it never showed up!). So my wife who is LATE IN PREGNANCY HAS TO HAVE THIS HUGE COUCH BOX IN OUR HOUSE DURING THIS WHOLE TIME AS WE WAIT FOR................ DRUM ROLL........ THE EMAIL AND/OR CALL THAT WE WERE SUPPOSE TO RECEIVE FROM THEIR TEAM WITHIN A DAY OR 2. THAT NEVER HAPPENED, and we got busy and thought I need to make a review to see if maybe they will notice then. But before I do I get a call from a delivery company about a package that is suppose arrive within a many hour window on a certain day. This was just to notify us that it would be delivered on this day during this huge time window. Well, my wife was there the whole long time window and still they never arrived and never even called to let us know that they weren't coming. Then my wife calls and gets the famous we have too many calls and sorry message. After that she gets through but just to wait, and it ended up taking so long she had to go. This is an absolute Customer Service disgrace on every single level. Now our newborn baby is here and we have a mega box here in our smaller home and all the parts to our couch still haven't arrived. Thanks IKEA for changing my mind on who I thought I used to love and letting me see another side. We have made many purchases with IKEA, and now our first large purchase with IKEA, which we will not be doing again, was a complete flop.

Apparently in the Netherlands IKEA uses Red je Pakketje. They are horrible. After waiting 2 days for a package I called and found out the driver had locked the keys in the van! Why he waited so long to report it - I must assume this because if Red je Pakketje knew he was delayed WHY didn't they pass the information to the customer??? - I have no idea. When I called I got the endless non-information "We just found out, this is the only information I have" until they hung up on me. It really makes me think before I EVER have anything delivered again. What a disappointment. I don't really believe what they said either.

Ikea makes it extremely difficult for customers to have a decent experience in their online store. During COVID-19 pandemic they closed all physical stores temporarily, which could mean they would improve their online and phone services to make up for it. But no. Ikea not only continues to have a poorly developed website, with limited options, and confusing descriptions of their policies. The latest surprise I had, when trying to buy a desk for my home office, was that they can only inform you a delivery date AFTER you made the purchase. I decided to give it a try, because I saw the product was available at my local store, and thought it couldn't take too long. I was wrong. I purchased the item today May 2nd, and the delivery date scheduled is JUNE 19th! 47 days to deliver a wood plank and two legs, which are in a store 20 minutes from where I live. I'd have faster shipping even if I bought from China. Tried several times to call their customer service, and all options I've chosen took me nowhere near to talk to a real person. They all led to a dead end, where they just told me volume of calls is too high, and hung up. It is very frustrating to deal with Ikea EVERY TIME I have any issues like this. Decided to cancel the order, but they have a res big disclaimer saying shipping costs are not reimbursable. What shipping? If they are planning to send me my items im 47 days, I doubt they've had any shipping costs in a couple hours while this all was happening. Seriously, listen to what I am saying and stay away from IKEA. I know their prices are attractive, but it is not worth the stress.

Bought a sofa in the store (with long waits), got home, started putting it together and realized that almost ALL of the hardware was missing. I emailed them, then called the very next day (also a long wait) and let them know. It's been 2 weeks since my purchase and I still have received no hardware. I got an email today (first response to the one I sent 2 weeks ago) stating that the hardware was being shipped and it'd be 10 business days for receipt. In other words, it'll be a month before I can actually use the sofa. I've gotten no explanation, no discount, nothing to mitigate this inconvenience. Horrible service!

I would give 0 stars if I could. I ordered a carpet and some slip covers 8 weeks ago. Everything was in stock. Was patiently waiting as the order was to be delivered end of May . Ikea removed the money right away from my credit card account when the order was laced. Today I receive an email with an attached PDF file, which states that the order cannot be delivered !!!! REALLY!???? THIS IS EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE AND DISHONEST> THEY HAVE MY MONEY FOR TWO MONTH AND DO NOT DELIVER ORDERED ITEMS< WHICH WERE IN STOCK> IKEA HAS VERY QUESTIONABLE REVIEWS _ BUT THIS TODAY SHOWS: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM IKEA!!!!!!!!!

I gave an order on April 13th, 2020. Today is April 28th, 2020 and there is no improvement in my order. It still looks preparing. I try to call and send emails but no answer. They took the money but no products and no information. I feel like I am doing business with a mafia organization. Next time I will be aware and prepared for doing business with a mafia organization. I am really sad about this, I used and liked IKEA so much as an interior designer. I am so disappointed. At least do like Canadian tire and closed online shopping, If you cannot do it right. I'm glad my first experience with IKEA online was only $400. I have a new home to furnish but it won't include anything from IKEA. On 4/20 I ordered a vanity with an estimated date a week or two out. Then, after paying for the item, the delivery date was changed to 43 DAYS out! So, I immediately cancelled the order but was told by CS that my credit would take 3-5 days. Nothing as of 10 days later. They don't answer the phone, or emails. Only after finding an email for "Press Inquiries" was I able to have a message passed long to. I then received a message that "It will be taken care of today" - no such luck. Additionally, I'm now told it will still take 3-5 days AFTER IKEA does its job - which may be never. Advice: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING ONLINE FROM IKEA. if you shop in their store, be CERTAIN of what you are getting and paying for. Way too many online complains about IKEA. Wish I had read first. Caveat emptor!
