My TAG Professional may be 20 years old but as a gift from my wife it means a great deal to me. So When the watch face or hands had moved I needed to get it repaired, my local watch store is small and a family business who admitted they would rather not handle the repair. I looked on line for "specialist" watch repairers all they were interested in doing was opening a "chat line" to say , despite saying "email for a quote", send us the watch an engineer needs to see what is wrong and what needs attention told them what was wrong , no luck. I then saw In-Time and started with an email which was replied to with in 10 minutes. After several conversations online and on phone, I gave them my precious watch and waited within an hour they called me to tell me what it needed and how much it would cost.Brian at the Cardiff branch notified me 3 weeks later tosay it was ready for collection. I could not go back to the branch, not a problem they would send it securely in the Royal Mail for £7 the bill was exactly as quoted and Brian sent it that day and itt arrived safe and sound the next working day. A brilliant and honest service from busy people who do care Faultless!

In-Time Debnehams, Merry Hill - My son had a problem with his watch gaining time, I enquired at Goldsmiths where I was told it would be sent away and would take several weeks so I decided to try In-time Debenhams. I was pleasantly surprised, James was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful, he requested approximately 45 minutes to repair the watch. I returned after the suggested time to find the watch in excellent working order. I certainly would not hesitate in returning to James at In-Time in the future. Excellent service!!

I visited the In-Time Watch Repair Counter@Crystal Peaks Central Atrium,Sheffield,on my Daughters recommendation(she has used them several times&been most satisfied) There I was served by Julie,who was very friendly & answered my questions about replacement batteries (I had taken 6 Watches, all needing new batteries) As the prices obviously varied,I decided to have just 3 done & Julie said they would be ready in 30minutes, so after doing some shopping, my hubby & I returned to collect & pay for them. Julie told me the new Batteries were Guaranteed, & I was very happy with my now working 3 watches. After payment was made, Julie then said would I like my Engagement Ring cleaned, no charge! How brilliant, it had not been done in years! She took great care & did an excellent job, making it “sparkle” like new again! At that point,Jodie (the other sales assistant joined us) & asked my hubby if she could clean his Wedding ring, while I was waiting for my ring to be thoroughly cleaned. Both Julie & Jodie, were so friendly & very professional & talked us through the other work that maybe of interest to us,( as I have some jewellery that requires alterations) they were not pushy or doing the”hard sell routine”- but doing their jobs both in an excellent manner. How nice as a customer to be treated in this manner (it doesn’t happen much these days) we came away very happy & satisfied customers & will definitely go back to In-Time again. TOOK 3 DIFFERENT WATCHES TO INTIME AT DEBENHAMS OXFORD STREET MARCH 2019 - EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM ALL STAFF AND DID A GREAT JOB REPLACING BATTERIES AND WATCH STRAPS AT A REASONABLE PRICE. EVEN DID A REPAIR TO THE MECHANISM OF MY WATCH AT NO EXTRA COST. CAN'T RECOMMEND THEM HIGHLY ENOUGH.
MUCH BETTER THAN MY LOCAL JEWELLERS WHO RUINED MY WATCH STRAP AND REPLACED A BATTERY THAT ONLY LASTED 6 MONTHS (THERE'S A 18 MONTH GUARANTEE ON WORKMANSHIP AT INTIME)

After I requested a quote to service my Speedmaster moon I received a call from an Asian sounding lady who spoke at best broken English, she asked if my Speedy moon was chrono or non chrono...”really” I asked.
She then proceeded to ask if it was auto, at this moment I knew I wouldn’t let these morons touch my pride and joy, but was curious on what price they’d charge for the service, after asking a few more stupid irrelevant questions she should have already known the answers to she came back with....wait for it...£680!

I have used In-Time many times over the past five years, having batteries changed or links taken out. I like watches and have several. JAZ is the person I have used on those occasions and I have always found him helpful.

Took the Seiko into the Derby store and was told that to come back again tomorrow as he couldn’t do it but the other person could but he wasn’t available, took it back next day then got a text saying the other person couldn’t change the battery either and for another £20 on top of what they initially quoted me they could send it away to be done !.
So 2 days after I first took it in and best part of £50 to get a battery and reseal no thank you Derby in time !.
Thanks for the reply we found a more professional service in Derby who did the work without the need for sending it off for weeks.

Recently visited the Crystal Peajs branch in Sheffield. I strongly recommend their services and won’t hesitate to use them again! These ladies are so dedicated informative and really care for your valuables. I took 4 rings that belonged to to my husbands Mum and Dad, a necklace that belonged to my Grandma, and my Pandora watch which were all really dirty and tarnished. After these lovely ladies had cleaned them they all looked as good as new, I just couldn’t believe the results and all in a few hours, no need to send them away and at a very reasonable price too!

I just wanted to express my appreciation and gratitude to your store manager Craig Steward for his superb customer service.
Craig responded promptly and fully to a few email enquiries I sent concerning watch battery replacement, resealing and pressure testing of 3 of my watches in my collection.
He gave me a realistic timescale, full details of work to be carried out and a comprehensive price guide.
I dropped the watches in to him this morning and immediately I spoke with him I knew he was completely trustworthy and realistic about the time the work would take to be completed and I had no hesitation leaving the watches with him.
He gave me a voucher for a free tea or coffee in the restaurant on the 4th floor of Debenhams!
I returned just an hour later and Craig had carried out the work perfectly and had supplied me with individual guarantees for each of the 3 watches, for the work carried out. Superb customer service.
In this day and age we are far too quick to criticise services provided and I hope my appreciation of the work and the manner in which it was conducted goes some want to redressing the balance.
Thank you Craig. You are a credit to your profession and to In Time, too!

I have been using In Time at Daniels of Windsor for several years now, usually to have new batteries fitted to my Seiko dive watches, and pressure testing. Never been a problem.
However when my Reactor Atom had a problem with the battery that was fitted by them, and the date function stopped working, I contacted the head office to see if this could be fixed.
The head office told me that my watch probably needed a replacement movement and a service which would cost between £75 and £90.
Armed with this info, I rang Daniels, spoke to Milad who told me to bring the watch in. I took the watch in on the Monday, and explained to the lady there that I wanted the repair done and told her that I had been in contact with the head office who had given me the quote for the work.
She said that the watch would have to be sent to the workshop, and that I had just missed the deadline for that day, and that the watch would be sent out the following day.
After 10 days I contacted Milad at Daniels for a progress report, only to be told the watch was still at Daniels waiting for my authorisation for the repair !!!!!!
At this stage I got rather angry, as I had already agreed and authorised the repair 10 days previously !!
I got the standard apology !!
Why do people apologise for bad service ? Surely the problem should be owned, solved, then an apology issued !!
I contacted the head office and explained my frustration, upon which an Area manager contacted me, again apologising and offering me a discount for my frustration!!
I explained that apologies and compensation are not what I want, just the service I as a customer am paying for !!
My repair was prioritised and I collected my watch yesterday from Milad, who said nothing, gave me my watch and took my payment !!
SURELY THATS WHEN I SHOULD HAVE RECIEVED AN APOLOGY ???
If you want a good review, provide a good customer service !!

The crown had to be replaced on my watch and the service was transparent and timely, but the crown was loose and poorly fitted when I received it back, and it broke off within a few weeks, after I had originally had it for several years without issue. Took it back and was told this wasn't covered under their guarantee. Took it to another shop to be repaired by the manufacturers, and it required a slightly more expensive full service, but it came back properly repaired, like new. No trust in their performance after this poor job and worthless guarantee, would never go to again.

We took four watches in to Crystal Peaks In-Time, which had been in our house fire. We did not expect much as they looked disgusting and two weren’t working, but as they were sentimental we asked In-Time to do what they could. The service and staff (in particular, Jodie) was fantastic. They came back all working and you couldn’t tell they had been in a fire. We can’t thank In-Time enough.

Had a Longine wristwatch serviced at a cost of £353 some years ago and quoted the same earlier this year. It was still losing time when it was returned from the first service by In Time and in the last two years started getting condensation behind the glass. I discovered the Longine now do their own repair service repair and I gave it to them to carry out at a cost of £295. The watch is now accurate like never before and the watch is like new.

How they can justify being more expensive than the manufacturer is a mystery. How they provide such a ropey service and be expensive at the same time is also unbelievable.

Get a quote from your watch manufacturers own people before you opt to get these guys to do it. Not only will you get a better repair, but you'll also most likely get it done cheaper than these rip-off merchants.

Avoid is my recommendation.

Funny how they respond to comments and look all considerate and pro the customer but then there's no facility to follow their reply up with a further reply. Just go through the comments and see what I'm talking about.

Well, despite any problems of Trust Pilot's non-existent reply buttons, it's safe to say I would not give you lot the opportunity to touch my watch ever again. I don't need an apology, I doubt a refund would be forthcoming, and in any case, my main agenda is to relay my experience of your business.

I might add, another criticism which I've seen in other reviews is of a tactic of turning a request for an adjustment into a full-blown service at an inflated price.

Don't fall for it people.

Having took 7 watches in (including two Tag watches) Jaz looked after me and even completed the work in 2 hours. Really pleased with the service and found out they also do Breitling batteries and jewellery repairs. A service I will be using.

I called the In Time Debenhams (Clapham Junction) store and spoke to a man called Kaan Donmez to ask them how much a repair of my Casio watch would cost. I was then told that he would not be able to quote me or even give me an estimate as the watch would have to be sent to Casio and they would provide a quote.

I then visited the store to have the watch sent to Casio, and after Kaan had a look at the watch, he advised that it would probably be cheaper to buy a new watch. I let him know that this was a very sentimental watch and so I would probably prefer paying for the watch to be replaced. He then said that he “didn’t want to waste his shipping money when I wouldn’t even get it repaired”, I asked him how he knew I wouldn’t have it repaired and he responded by saying it would be about £165 pounds and “could I even afford to pay that”.

I found this extremely discriminatory as when we spoke over the phone, he had been willing to send it and now wouldn’t when I came in person and I believe that this was based on my race and gender and do not believe he would have asked an older white man the same question. I am generally very level headed and so calmly said to him that I could see he is frustrated when all I want is to send my watch to Casio for a quote, I asked if there was perhaps anyone else I could speak to and he said that there wasn’t. He said I could just call the number on the pamphlet if I had issues.

Again I said politely that all I wanted was to please send my watch to Casio for a quote and that this watch means a lot to me. He said I should sent it myself so he wouldn’t have to pay for my shipping and again he refused. He then said he would just give me a quote himself without sending it to Casio; from a price list he has otherwise I can go and buy a cheaper watch. All I wanted was to have my watch sent to Casio.

I have said this before but want to reiterate that I am a very level headed person but this interaction brought me to tears as I genuinely felt it was because of my race, gender and perhaps age. I expressed why I was upset as well as why the way he was speaking to me was hurtful and Kaan said he couldn’t help it as that is just the way Australians speak.

I have decided to take further steps against this kind of discrimination with other bodies but wanted to relay my experience on here too. Thanks for allowing this platform so I can do so.

Just want to say their service was excellent.I took various watches for new batteries all complete within 2 hours. I discovered one of the watches did not work and returned to In-Time it was thoroughly checked battery worked but mechanism was not. It was sent to be mended and took less than 2 weeks only paid for the mechanism repair wonderful service , thank you Caitlin.
