I have been using Josh's Frogs for 2 years, purchasing frogs, supplies, fruit flies, etc. I have called, emailed and messaged them on social media with questions. I needed fruit flies urgently during the onset of the Covid-19 mess and they got my order out in 2 days even though they were swamped. I have always found GREAT help and support here!

Bought dry goods, a fruit fly culture and springtails. Happy overall with everything but the fruit fly culture. About 2 weeks after I got it I noticed it had mites. I've raised fruit flies for my dart frogs for a few years now and I've never had mites even if the culture was a month old (I raise hydei). I've read on boards they typically have mites in the ff cultures/media so maybe avoid live stuff and stick with dry goods.

My order of 1/2 inch crickets were barely larger than pinheads. My son worked hours on creating a habitat for crickets only to be devastated when immediately upon delivery emptying the ant infested box of crickets into the new habitat thereby infesting said new habitat with ants. "Customer Service" will not correct the problem without my sending pictures (because I'm lying?) despite my already informing them that I am out of town and not able to do so. 1st and last order. Also the other items ordered have not even shipped yet.

joshs frogs has a no live animal guarantee if temperatures are above 85 degrees at any point in the delivery. This is absolutely $#*! as to put this on the customer. I can with a doubt promise you that as a customer i don't know the roudhddhde accuracy of the temperature, the internal temperature of the delivery truck, and so on. They also told me that it gets over 85 degrees at their location so, why would they even ship if they know that it is too hot to begin shipping. This company is more about the money than the customer. No empathy....just refer to the policy.

I've used the company for a few years now, and so far I have not been let down! They always have seemed to over supply my insects so to account for any die-offs during shipping. I have had many orders arrive 100% ALIVE, even during the winter months when the live arrival is hit or miss, all because they had included a FREE heat pack that usually you would purchase for a few bucks, but I'm cheap. I had one issue a long time ago with terrible shipping (dead do to being handled and tossed around in shipping), but that was not a problem I snapped a pic and as soon as they saw the email they sent me a fresh order at no charge (no shipping charges either) Josh's Frogs will continue to be my go to supply store for my lovely creatures!

I live in the upper peninsula of Michigan, and during the winter months, it can be very difficult to get live insects locally. My only real option is to order them, but then I have to worry about delivery in zero degree weather. I’m so happy that I found out about Josh’s frogs from a local feed store in Houghton, MI. Each time I’ve ordered my insects, they arrived on time - the few worms that may not have made the trip in zero-degree temps were automatically replaced bc Josh’s Frogs adds 10% more insects to your purchase for JUST that reason. Anytime you order a live plant or animal, it’s a toss up, but Josh’s Frogs is such a great company. I know they would do their best to assist me if my insects arrived dead or if I didn’t receive them in a timely manner. Josh’s Frogs is my only insect retailer and I plan to stick with them forever. I’ve even found that the quality of my worms are better then anything I could get at PetSmart. Thanks, JF!

I’ve used Josh’s Frogs for about a year to buy large amounts of feeder insects. The only problem I had is when I lost a package and I was able to get help to get everything figured out. It was fast and courteous. I don't know a better place to get feeder insects online.

I recently ordered four small houseplants from Josh's Frogs and was very happy! The plants were all happy and healthy. They were well packaged for their journey in the mail. Can't wait to order more plant babies from here!

I order my son’s snake supplies from Josh’s Frogs. Depending on the weather you may have to wait for shipping, which is understandable. They want your stuff to arrive alive. Have never had any issues, but if I did, I’m sure they would take care of me.

I don't order all the time but when I need live insects I use Josh's frogs I have gotten good shipments Everytime the one time a order got mixed up I contacted them and they made it right and got me my order very promptly. I will continue to use them because of the great customer service and live insects that I have gotten here.

I have purchased from Josh’s frogs twice. The first time was to start my roach colony and the second was to buy a variety of feeder insects for all of my reptiles. My roach colony has produced hundreds of babies... and I was extremely surprised at how healthy all the feeder insects that I have received have been. I haven’t seen a dead one yet! Can’t get that kind of quality from the chain pet stores.

I ordered my first shipment of crickets from Josh's Frogs and they arrived quickly in two days. Once they warmed back up they were healthy and very active. It has been almost a week and they all look so healthy!! I would definitely order from them in the future. Thanks for your attention to quality and your helpful videos too:)

I have ordered twice from Josh's Frogs. I ordered mostly dry goods (no livestock). Both times the ordering process was smooth and seamless. They did a good job of communicating the whole process, from the day that the order was processed to the day that it shipped and when I could expect to receive my order. I will definitely order again.

I have been looking at different sights on line at the tiny dancer alocacias
I found them at Josh's frogs for half of what the other sights wanted. So,I ordered 2 of them.They arrived in less then a week and we're green and very healthy! It's been a couple of months now and they are happy and growing.
I will definitely order from here again.

We bought a bearded dragon around 6 weeks ago and starting using Josh's Frogs for insects. So far we have bought 2 x 1000 crickets and some mealworms. The shipment was smooth and they arrived within 2 days. We are very happy with the service provided to date.

My bearded dragon goes through 50 crickets a day certain times throughout the year. Buying that many crickets in a pet store is way too expensive. I’ve ordered online from other places and received mostly dead crickets. Josh’s Frogs crickets are alive and healthy. And their prices are great. Once my mail carrier left the crickets where I didn’t see them until the next morning in cold weather (even though the box was clearly marked ‘live insects enclosed’) and half the crickets died. I called Josh’s Frogs and they sent out a replacement shipment free of charge even though it wasn’t their fault.

I started researching out for dart frogs and came across Josh's frogs and realized there was more to it than what i thought. Josh's had all the info i could want right there on their site so i went through it learning as much as i can. I had questions and emailed them the staff gave me great responses and the truth about what i could or couldn't do. I didn't want to spend alot of money not knowing if i would enjoy the hobby so i wanted to use a tank i had they helped me buy answering all the questions i had and helped me decide on a pair of Big scaled least geckos and i built my first vivarium to suit them with help from Josh's staff on everything from substrate to plants and finally the geckos. I am very happy with Josh's and now am looking forward to my next vivarium which will be a Dart Frog / Morning gecko combo. I have no doubt that Josh's will be helping me through this one also. The above review was for previous purchases and my latest purchase one of my original big scaled least geckos escaped and i ordered another to replace the lost one who could not be found.
Update as of 5/1/2019
My order arrived in perfect condition and she is now enjoying her new home.

I currently have a bearded dragon, crested gecko, leopard gecko, and an axolotl, and have always ordered my needs from Josh’s frogs. I’ve watched many of my favorite youtubers swear by their site, so when I got my crested I ordered everything I needed from here. I’ve ordered live plants and dry goods but no insects or animals so far. I am beyond happy with everything they’ve provided me. The plants have always came beautiful and packaged great. I have also ordered decorations for his terrarium but received one broken, and customer service responded very fast, and offered me a refund or to send a new one. They provided a full refund (only because I didn’t mean to order it in the first place). Overall absolutely love this place and currently have a plant order as well as mealworms on the way! Whatever you’re looking for, Josh’s frogs is the way to go.

I placed an order of goods through Josh’s Frogs. After checking out and paying I got an email a day later saying I would have to pay double shipping charges even though I had already placed my order and it had been processed. Staff was condescending when I made a complaint and would not give a refund or return shipping label for the half an order they already shipped
