That is because a large number of otherwise great auctions choose NOT to assist their buyers with shipping.
I am infuriated with one shipper in particular, from Va. Whereas most shippers will charge you a flat $10 or $20 for sending you your item(s), this one UPS tried to charge me $99 to send me a dozen miniatures!
I only spent $20 for them! (I have the address of the place to report these gougers, when I have time.) I was fortunate to find another shipper willing to do the job far more reasonably.
If I have a bad experience with an auction house, and getting my purchase home, I won't deal with them again.
Does this really matter to these sellers? IT Should!! Auction houses must affiliate themselves with a suitable shipper, or hire a few people and do it themselves.
I will browse here in the future, but whether or not I buy depends on how easy the auction house makes it for me to get my purchase home.
