I have used this company twice in moving the contents of a 2 bedroom unit and very large tool collection. Because of the cheap rate I wasn't expecting miracles like the person in a previous review moving a $25k grand piano. What a pompous cheapskate. Any way my job was done courtieasly and reasonably efficiently . I had some scratches on my toolbox and bed head. But it was a difficult move and the 2 guys handled it pretty well .

It was a 4 bedroom move with not a lot of stuff and the guys got it done under 2 hours. It was cheap as well. So no complaints. I'll recommend it to people looking for cheap and efficient moving services.

The move was for a collection of furniture over an easy and very straight driving distance of ~10 minutes.

They were over an hour late and blamed it on the traffic (it was a weekday morning... like we've all never expected heavy traffic on a weekday morning).

Whilst moving the furniture, they damaged my plaster wall. I took pictures as proof and notified them on the spot.

I sent emails/made phone calls, got stuffed around their make-believe complaints team and got "legally" threatened when I produced pictures as evidence. By "legally" I mean a gentlemen with extremely poor English comprehension skills tried to reference a privacy clause against me because I produced a photo of their staff looking at the damage they had caused on-site.

In the end I gave up pursuing this matter and had to repair the plaster wall at my own cost. Please do not trust these incompetent operators.

We moved home back in Jan 2015 and hired these guys to do the job. What a mess they made and damages they caused to my furniture and new property, example walls, new timber floors and the list goes on. Charged me $1000 for not even 7 hours work and not even a full truck load. They took so long to move my stuff as they could not lift the furniture in the back of the truck. This is there way of making there fast money. I complained to the guy about everything that went on that day and he said he will resolve this matter and pay me for the damages. Since then i have been backwards and forwards with emails regarding this matter and they are giving me the run around as they don't want to pay and claim that they don't have no liability insurance in place!!! How is that possible??? They are liars and full of crap. I'm in the process now of taking this matter further with legal action to have my matter resolved. What a nightmare. Please do not hire these guy you will be doing yourself harm. They are the biggest cons!!!!

Booked a moving servicing a week in advance (for the coming Tuesday) and paid deposit as they requested (they asked for deposit /booking fee to be transferred within an hour to secure booking). Half way through the week I need to change the date of moving so called / messaged them a few times with no reply. Called them on the weekend and also left message advising the change with no reply. On Monday 8:30 am I called again and the same guys said the call/message received on the weekend don't get counted as communications on business hours (they do weekend service right??) and the call I made to advise the change is counted as last minute call so they will not refund me the deposit. WHAT A JOKE!! I literally called them early morning on Monday to change schedule on Tuesday and they told me that's falls outside of 24 hours and it's a last minute change so another deposit will apply if I need to change the date. Lost my deposit of $40 and would not recommend anyone to use this shifty company, no matter how cheap it is. You just never know about the hidden cost!!

I was really happy with this service today. My washing machine was moved from Northcote to Viewbank, quickly and efficiently. The removalists informed me by telephone when they were close to my apartment and were very friendly!
I will absolutely be using this company again! It was nice to feel no stress during this moving process.

Showed up 2 & half hours late after numerous phone calls to the company. Absolutely no accountability or apology for being so late. Sent 1 man when our numerous email bookings clearly states 2 men. They quoted prices in email and then stated it was more then stated quote when on phone THAT MORNING.. Not even a screwdriver in the van to take apart a bed.. Had to borrow from furniture shop up the street..I (single 30something lady) had to lift couches, tables, mattress, and everything else down 2 flights of stairs with him and unpack it all again from van as I was under time constraints as lease was up and had to get out that day. Feeling sore today. This company made a stressful day a lot worse and do not care about their customers, just interested in cash. Absolute disgrace.
Wish I had read reviews before booking :(

We recently moved from Elwood to Brighton, one 2 bedroom apartment to another. Both places involved a flight of stairs so it wasn't the easiest move. The guys arrived on time and took a about 10mins sizing up the order in which we would move things (they did not charge me for this but started the time after they begun moving). One of the movers spoke perfect english which made it easy to help and communicate. I helped with the move of my own choice and we had it done in 2.5hours. The guys helped me position the furniture where it needed to go and no damage was done to anything. Overall had a great and fairly effortless move so would definitely recommend. Obviously they have improved a heap compared to some of the previous reviews!

They were booked to move 5 boxes from Sydney to Brisbane. They were supposed to arrive on Sunday between 1 and 3pm. I had a flight booked to Brisbane at 6.30. When they hadn't arrived by 3.30 I called. They said the truck was broken down and they weren't going to get there today, maybe Tuesday, maybe Wednesday. When I asked why no one had bothered to let me know they didn't have an answer.

That week I sent an email and 2 text messages enquiring when they would arrive. No reply. I called and they said they would come on the following Sunday. Again I sent text messages asking for written confirmation. No reply. When I called they "100% guaranteed" they would arrive on Sunday between 11 and 1pm. On Sunday I called several times to check where the truck was. The guy who answered pretended he couldn't hear me (even though I could hear him breathing). He eventually texted me the drivers number.

I texted the driver and gave him my daughter's number as she was waiting with the boxes and asked him to let her know what time he would arrive. Remember, I've been in Brisbane for a week by now (with 3 changes of clothes) waiting for the boxes. At 1pm he called her and said he would arrive at 5pm. I called him back, quite annoyed, and the time changed to 3.30pm. We're still waiting to see when the boxes will be picked up.

Total lack of communication, lies about arrival times, and zero interest in customer service. Avoid.

Big Mistake and they are not even here yet, booked in a week ago for a 8.00am start for 2 trucks and 4 workers. The night before the job they txt me and say they wont be arriving till 10am, 10am comes and goes still nothing then another txt this time from the driver who informs me he will arrive around lunchtime.
I decided to quiz him on costs and he tells me I have to pay for 2 trucks to return to depot and it will take 2 hours for them to get there, thats a total of around $660 on top of the removal charge, they said they have to come from Thomastown but when I booked I asked the person taking the booking and they swore black and blue the trucks would come from their Kilsyth depot which is an hour away from me.
Idea??? I will ring their office well the young lady there made some babble about the phones asked me to ring their mobile number (which I already had to no avail) which i told her so she said she was putting me on hold to speak to the boss which I agreed to and she promptly hung up.
Having serious thoughts about cancelling and hiring a truck and doing it my self but it was health reasons that made me hire a removalist in the 1st place. By the way its lunch time and if the driver/drivers show up we will be having a chat before any work is done. Had to give 1 star otherwise you cant submit your review it would be easier if they had stars in negative

We moved from a 3 bedroom unit and it was a fairly short distance between the homes, maybe about 5km.

Melbourne Cheap Removals arrived at our property 10-15 minutes early and we weren't charged extra for any additional time.

The guys were very friendly to both me and my wife, they handled our possessions with care and helped put everything in the positions we wanted in the new house without breaking anything.

I booked them 3 months in advance and paid a non refundable deposit. They didn't turn up. I kept ringing and they kept telling me lie after lie- will be there in one hour, will be there 1/2 hour, etc. My husband guessed they were at another job or hadn't managed to hire a truck yet. They finally arrived 2.30 in the afternoon and tried telling me more lies about how the truck got stuck and so on. What a joke. The truck they bought was tiny and in no way suitable for the job. They finally apologised but too late. Asked them to go. Learned a lesson. Booked a family company later to do the job and will never pay a deposit again. What a rip off.

I moved a distance of about 5 km, with a medium truck for an apartment size move. The movers were 45 minutes late, and wouldn't answer the phone when I called. When they did turn up they wanted my Mum and I to help them with all the heavy lifting while they stood in the truck and had things passed to them. They were VERY obviously trying to extend the time they were paid for. They broke an outdoor table into pieces, which could not be fixed. When I called and emailed about this damage, I received no response at all.
Worst customer service I have experienced.
Save yourself the hassle, pay a bit more for a much better service. I would never use them again, and would never recommend them.

Moving from 2 bedroom unit (Brunswick) to townhouse in Coburg. Movers arrived after 4pm, rather than 9:30am. No compensation offered. In fact, they tried to charge extra for stairs and insisted on cash. We did not pay extra and paid by bank deposit, since the office was closed and we could not pay by credit card. I used this service 5 years ago with no complaints, but never again. Disgraceful!

1 bedroom, 40 metre apartment took 3:30 hours for removal to a 5 minute driving destination.
2 guys were friendly but too slow and not professional.
If I wasn't there, I will have bad damage to the both property and furniture.
Very stressful day.

They were suppose to come between 1:30 and 2:30 pm but never came. They kept calling and said they would come and it got later and later. When it was finally 8:00 pm I had enough and told them not to come. DO NOT HIRE! I wasted a whole day and took a day off work for nothing.

2 bedroom unit move, but quite involved, as half my stuff had to go to one address, and the other half got donated, plus a lot of books had to make their way up to the third storey of my new place. Through your a long tough day, the guys stayed cheerful and polite, communicated well, and were flexible and helpful. All this for the least expensive move ($720 for 8 hours of hard work) that I have ever had.

We shifted house 700m away with only a few large items of furniture (fridge, washing machine, table, bed, couches) & it took over 6 hours costing $550! No dismantling or assembly was required as we did it already.
Something that should have just been a "lift & shift" took way too long. They advertise as the cheapest but they take forever to move (this is where they seem to make up their money).

The movers were friendly and polite but incredibly slow! Would not recommend these guys to anyone.

These people moved my 81 year old parents. They caused unsightly damage to the refrigerator door, which now has 3 large dints, and they couldn't care less about it! When my elderly mother pointed it out and asked what she should do to claim compensation, she was told just to call the company. They then asked her to sign the job completion docket, which, as it turns out, indemnified them from any damage. I am now taking this matter to VCAT on the advice of consumer affairs.You are unable to post a review for a service you have not used. Do not use these people!!! Type do not deserve to be in business!!
