The Mount Vernon Carpet installer, Michael, did a fantastic job with our basement floor. He was very careful to prep the floor and take the time to get ready for the vinyl install. Michael was thoughtful, considerate and conscientious about his time in our home and was a delight to work with.
Michael was exceptionally meticulous and didn't want to leave anything undone or done poorly.
Our contacts with Larry were also very favorable. He was very patient and thorough about the business part of this job and also advised us when needed about our best possible choices for the work we had done. I went to two places to look for flooring and decided to purchase with Carpet One. They had a very nice showroom, a friendly and clean environment, and available sales people ready to help. The one tile that I loved was at Carpet One and the other place I looked, it was nice to see the larger selection at Carpet One so I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything "good". I received a quote from Carpet One as well as the other business and for some reason Carpet One was over $100 less which made it even better. Pick up was easy, everyone was so helpful. We will return there for the next flooring project in our home!

We had original 15 year old carpet in the living/dining room and original linoleum in the kitchen, laundry room, powder room and master bath removed and replaced with beautiful CoreTec Plus luxury vinyl plank. The installers were amazing and had everything completed in 1.5 days. One of the installers stayed until 9:05 PM on the first day getting all of the CoreTec installed. On the second day, all of the baseboards, 1/4-round molding and thresholds were installed and the job completed. We are very pleased with the results and will definitely use Carpet One again.

Had to coordinate with multiple individuals, as apposed to one project manager, to get the complete job done. There was also some lack of subcontractor communications with customer, times when job to be accomplished or when they were going to arrive late. In the end, the new kitchen and dinning room is beautiful and more functional than before thanks to the help of Ronda, Cecil and Kristin.

We purchased carpeting from Carpet One many years ago. While the carpet has performed as expected, it was time for a change. Once again we went to Carpet One to look at options and receive a bid. Ultimately we chose them again.
The space we needed to re-carpet is irregular with acute corners and radius areas next to floor tile. Our carpet installer took time to get everything perfect. He also left the entire home just as tidy as when he had arrived.

My new home took about 14 months to complete. During this time I made numerous visits to the store to select (and sometimes re-select), tile, carpet, etc. Alissa was always helpful and patient in addition to being a great resource.

Last year (June 2016) I needed to replace a really awful laminate flooring job the previous owner had DIY'd in my kitchen and dining area. I went into Carpet One because I had them install carpet in a rental several years before. When Larry Henderson approached me he had his work cut out for him, as I was VERY UNSURE of what I wanted. I did know that I wanted something durable and that looked good. I explained to him my two previous costly nightmares with hardwood flooring and with laminate flooring, both of which had been installed by professional contractors and done incorrectly! So I was very leery. Larry was GREAT in that he answered all my questions (patiently). He has a good command of what is available and the best application. I decided on luxury plank vinyl that was installed in the kitchen and dining room by Duane and Brian (very personable, easy going and professional men who know their craft). Fast forward a year to June 2017 when I returned to have the same floor installed in the remainder of the upstairs, as well as replace carpet on the stairs that Carpet One had installed 8 years ago. This job was a little more labor intensive, as the floor had to be built up to match the existing floor. So, I was thrilled when Duane and Brian pulled up, as I knew they knew what they were doing! It took them two days to build the floor up with new plywood & cement to level it out. But when they left you would never know they had been there, other than I had brand new floors & carpet. They cleaned up after themselves and again, were personable and careful as they worked around the house & answered my 4 year old grandson's constant barrage of questions! Even letting him "help", which he thought was GREAT! Brian has made a friend ! I became aware of Carpet One about 9 years ago when they were the company that my church contracted with to replace all the carpeting & flooring in our fellowship hall as well as the countertops in our commercial kitchen remodel. They did an excellent job then and now. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Carpet One.

On May 24, 2017 I visited Carpet One MV to discuss a hallway needing re-carpeting after water damage was repaired. Tanya was friendly and helpful - and even though it was the long weekend -- they were still able to send their installers out on June 2.. The installers were very professional and did an excellent job. Later, when another problem arose in October between a carpet edge and an inadequate metal strip between my kitchen and LR -- I called Tanya right away -- and within days - they sent out an excellent technician to fix the problem. I recommend Mt. Vernon Carpet One to all my friends -- and anyone else who will listen. From start to finish - their professionalism, interest in pleasing the customer, excellent service and affordability - is plainly evident.
