Extremely disappointing service! The owner was rude, borderline abusive on the phone after I politely refused to provide her with a copy of my house keys to keep at her office but opted to always be present at scheduled appointments. Cleaners would not show for scheduled cleans, avoid them!

I used this company for about two years. I put up with their rudeness and the house left pretty dirty and I would end up re-going over what they did or didn't do. I had an item go missing and emailed the company and called and got nowhere with them. Changed teams, only to have another item go missing. Do not use this company. They will not help you over the phone. I was told if you were unhappy that they would come back and re- do. As for the missing items forget it, the company will do nothing for you.

I recently moved into my new home and disappointingly the previous owners had left it in an absolute mess. It was too much for me to tackle so after seeing a MyHome Cleaning car in the area I gave them a call and organised for them to do a big clean for me. I was so happy with the result. They left the place spotless! The girls who arrived were so lovely and the communication from initial phone call right through to completion of the clean was wonderful.
I had no intention of having a regular cleaner but after seeing what a thorough job they did, I couldn’t help myself and have organised to have them come regularly.
If you are looking for a hardworking, happy team who will leave your place looking spotless, I can’t recommend the MyHome Albert Park girls enough. Thank you!

In the 3 months I have used this service they have broken the bathroom mirror on two separate occasions. My floor boards have been ruined and the grout scrubbed with something that destroyed it. I cannot recommend them at all. Extremely disappointed

We used this service on 10 January 2017 and will NEVER use them again. It is my strongest opinion that this group knowingly operates unethically, and moreover is unrepentant in their squalid approach to business. Don't even think of employing them! Read through all 26 of the reviews here and there IS NOT ONE good one. They quoted over the phone and then overcharged us. When confronted with this, the self-identified Manager lied and denied that he had quoted that price. When it came time for payment, however, they badgered me well over 6 times every day for their money, and were unrelenting in their approach. Their male window cleaner even tried to solicit a date with my daughter at our home, and I was overcharged for the insult. The walls were not washed down, and generally it was a very light clean, despite being charged $900 for a few hours of cleaning services. Overall, a thoroughly appalling experience, which will unequivocally never be repeated. The EXTENT OF OUR DISGUST with this organisation and the extreme lack of professionalism they have operated in cannot be overemphasised. I certainly hope this review will deter you from even having a thought about dialling their number!

My Girlfriend Recently went through the interview process with this company (MyHome), she was told she would be payed $23.60 per hour into her bank and work Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. After meeting a current employee she was shocked to find out this job is payed cash in hand at $16 per hour, the working hours can change with no notice and you are not allowed to take a lunch break even though you are not payed for it. DO NOT WORK FOR THIS CONPANY! If you use this company to clean your house you are supporting the exploitation of backpackers and foreign workings in Australia

I worked for this company for just over a month in need of some desperate cash having just finished travelling and moved here from England. The company solely employs and exploits backpackers who have no experience or training prior to cleaning your home and then charges you an extortion amount of money which goes in the owners back pocket.

The advert for this job can actually be found on the backpackers website, advertising a full time 9-5 Monday to Friday job and $22 an hour. However, this is far from the truth as some days you can finish at 1 and some days 5 and you do not find out until the morning. They also fail to inform you of the pay until your signing the contract. In addition to this, the schedule for the day is so tight that you don’t even have time for your lunch break despite the company still taking it out of your pay!

Secondly, the company pays all staff cash in hand. Bearing in mind there are around 30 girls that work there to me this seems very strange and somewhat like a tax avoiding scam. The company also take supper annuation from your pay packet, but have failed to provide me with my log in details now I have left, which leads me to believe I wasn’t paying it at all and in fact again, was going into the owners back pocket!

Last but certainly not least, is [name removed], the English lady who sorts out the cleaners day to day schedule who has a very very bad attitude. [name removed] seems to think her job is the equivalent to doing 5 law degrees, when in fact my dog could do her job blindfolded. [name removed] talks down to all staff and treats them disgustingly which I have experienced first hand. For example, I asked [name removed] for a day off (two weeks in advance as requested) which she told me no and without a chance to reply told me I have to leave if I need that day off and handed me an ending employment form informing me my last day would be the FOLLOWING Friday. I was more than happy to leave that place as it was beginning to make me very very depressed so I filled out the form and returned it the following day asking for a copy of my contract and my supper annuation details and went on with my day.

When I returned that day to the office, [name removed] asked to speak to me and then told me that in fact my last day was that same day which I asked if I was being sacked with immediate effect and the answer was no. So to my understanding, this is actually illegal and a big company with a brain cell to rub together would know I have working rights. Luckily, I know how to stick up for myself and asked to see the owner. To my surprise, [name removed] had lied to the owner telling him I wanted a few weeks off and not a day. [name removed] is a nasty piece of work but all I can say is she done me a favour leaving that horrible horrible place.

To top things off, when you walk into the office in the morning they have a register of names which they tick off upon arrival. [name removed] and co have added nicknames to each of the cleaning girls. For example, a South American girl was referred to as ‘Monkey’ - which in my opinion is racist. I know this is true as one of my friends worked in the office with [name removed] for a short while before walking out one day because of how poorly the owner treated her.

If you have any morals you will not use this company and stop the exploitation of young backpackers.

Wow, wish I'd seen the reviews before I signed up to these guys... We were accommodating when the owner wanted to go on his cruise and moved our clean day around, but when they left our house unsecured (unlocked, alarm unarmed, key easy to access) for 3 weeks whilst we were away over Christmas, I emailed the owner to ask for an explanation - instead, no reply, they just didn't show up again! This after months of paying $140 each clean - for no more than 2hrs - for a small area of our house too! And don't fall for the owners salesperson tactics - "we have permanent employees, 3-colour cleaning system, etc... " Every time they came to clean it was different cleaners and most were new/being trained each time, and looked like back-packers (search 'myhome' on FB & there's a post on a french travellers board looking for cleaners to work with them) - so I'd say their turnover is high, and their cleaning services are expensive and average at best. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere...
Btw the franchise I dealt with was the one on Union Rd, Ascot Vale.

I felt compelled to write an updated review as I have recently changed cleaning company to another one (not naming any names), but one that rated very highly on this site. Turns out that the company encourages you to write a positive review and as a reward, they give their cleaners a tip. Hence why there were so many positive reviews. Comparing the two companies, now that I have used them both, I think the My Home cleans were of a higher standard. Plus they did a lot more in the allocated time slot than my new cleaners, like more dusting, dusting blinds, emptying bibs, general tidying. So hence why I felt I needed to write another review. My Home isn’t so bad when you compare to the so called number 1 cleaning company on this site.

The quality of the clean very quickly deteriorated - although the first clean was thorough and good value (2 people for 2.5 hours), the second clean was far worse (missed several things, and by the third they were just phoning it in (didn't empty some bins, counters still had crumbs, missed vacuuming areas of floor).

They wanted to charge $300 for the initial clean but relented and instead charged me the 4-weekly price of $165, even for the first clean. Reasonable value for 5 person-hours. The second clean was probably only 3 person-hours, and the third clean, the team of two came and went in under an hour!

On top of this the communication was poor - unless it related to making a sale or getting paid! After the initial clean they just assumed that they would come back four weeks later, without ever stating such.

They then showed up on the day without so much as a reminder or courtesy call/SMS. I was away on holidays so this didn't exactly work well. Same again for the third clean - I had to call to check whether they planned to come, and what time. A reminder SMS would seem to be prudent, and very little effort (it could even be automated).

I never actually got a cleaner through the door as the customer service was that bad... logged to have a quote on the website. Waited 2 weeks, then followed up with an email asking where my quote/call was. Waited another week. Then got a call. Very sorry, just got my email. Got organised to come around Saturday with the previso that if I could do Friday that would be better. Fortunately i got Friday off so I rang and rescheduled so it was easier for them. They confirmed and all was good. Sitting here on a Friday with no cleaner. Waited 20 mins. Rang MyHomeClean. Oh no madam, your booking is for tomorrow. Forget it. 3 strikes and you are out...

Had them fir 18mths reported poor cleaning recently and recent clean was the worst I had put up with running late very busy and I dont clean that!!! Mind you I was paying for areas that I chose to clean but that wasn't reported back. Decided to discuss recent incident with supposedly customer care person who needs to find another job, as he was no help what so ever he sided with the cleaners and so much for customer being right or meeting customer who has been with them for 18mnths half way!! There
was no acknowledgement of being a good customer or trying to give you a free clean since they failed to clean properly which by the way is in their policy. I was treated like a second rate person and by the way paying $120 per clean which have since realised have been ripped off. I have put in a complain with product review. This company needs a review of their policy and product as they are failing to deliver. Would not look at them again and by the way referred x2 people who stated I recommended their service and received no call to say thankyou here's a $50 Coles voucher or even a thankyou!!

Got a phone call this late afternoon cancelling the end of lease carpet cleaning booked in for the next morning!
I spoke to Ben – I can only sum it up by saying that he is rude, unprofessional and lacks basic customer service skills. He also had the audacity to hang up the phone when I was asking to speak to his manager about the inconvenience this last minute decision has caused me! He wasn’t able to offer me any other dates! The manager, Simon is meant to call me back to discuss other dates but so far nothing! They just don’t care! Please don’t waste your time and money on using their service for carpet cleaning. I'd give them zero stars but one star is the minimum possible!

One more person who wishes she had read the reviews before using this company. On the bright side - the person who cleaned my sofa did his best. However the scotch guard he applied left a sticky mess. The company agreed to come out and clean it off - but then refused to refund the money I paid for it, when I didn't want it re-applied. (Offered only reapplication or credit toward future services which I would never use.) Ignored follow up phone calls. Refused to provide a name of company owner/senior manager for me to talk with. Lectured me about how good they are. And hung up on me after 2 weeks of my polite attempts to get resolution. As so many others have said before me: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Haven’t completed at least 30 % of the job..
Without authorization taken $ 1145 from my credit card and have complained to credit card authority and still under investigation.
Do not recommend this company for any services/
Authorities should cancel their business registration and take legal action for cheating customers.
