I am trying to help a friend redeem a gift code that I purchased as a gift for them for Christmas. The site is impossible to navigate. You need to begin order before you can attempt to redeem a code. And then, the code is not being accepted. There is no response from the "chat with us" customer service. I'm sorry to say, this whole enterprise seems like a scam.

For my birthday this year (May) my sister bought me a year long spice subscription. I placed my order with the gift card on May 13th, and paid an additional $5 for shipping. After a few weeks I contacted customer service with no response. My sister has contacted them, as well. Our next step will be to file a complaint with the BBB and with our cc companies for a refund. Such a good idea, but it seems pretty clear this company doesn't intend to fulfill orders.

Multiple months of a gifted 1-yr, monthly subscription never showed. Customer service was slow & unsympathetic, and obviously failing to correct the issue. I finally received a pro-rated cancellation credit for my gift-giver (who was mortified at my experience upon trying to do such a sweet thing for me). I left an honest review on their website which is - of course - not there (both weeks & months after having left the review, it's nowhere to be found). You'll only see 4 & 5-star reviews on their site. Totally a lie! I really love the concept & even the product in this subscription (though the recipes are often filled with errors), but never receiving the product & then battling cold, miserly customer service... This company just doesn't work. Do NOT give this to someone as a gift! It will just be a thorn in their side!

I placed an order on September 5, 2019 for a gift to be delivered by September 9. I was told it would be delivered 9/6, it was actually delivered 9/23 after 15 emails full of promises and lies. Never have I been so embarrassed and frustrated giving a gift. Repeated emails with Rebecca lead to more frustration. She continually promised it would be there in 2 days, as she was using the 2 day mailing service, and as an apology, a $20 gift card would be included in the package. Two days came and went many times, with Rebecca repeatedly telling me she was having trouble with "labels" The package finally arrived last night at 8pm. No gift card included. Have already emailed Rebecca to find out why it was not in there, not that I recommend even using a gift card with them after this mess, and she, apparently under the impression that we have become BFF's through this ordeal together, is "so happy" the gift was finally received, and if I can just provide my recipient's email address, she will just email it to her. I was trying to get my sister something different for her birthday and now, weeks past her bday, she just finally got my gift. Nothing extra put in with it or an apology note. Nothing. Save yourself the frustration and order elsewhere.

Received a gift card and placed an order - we've received nothing but excuses. At some point a representative will leave a note apologizing and telling us to contact their customer service rep below, but that will just renew the cycle of excuses and stalling. If I had a dollar for every time they said my spices were on their way, I could buy some nice spices that actually showed up from Penzey's. After 2 months I asked for a refund and they have stopped responding to me. DO NOT ORDER OR GIFT!

I've ordered from RSB in the past and had no issue, but with my most recent order they sent a fake shipping tracking number and would never give me the real one. Then I got a message that the shipment was "returned to them due to a label problem" but they assured me they would send a new one asap. They of course did not and did not reply to my follow up emails until I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They are saying now that it has shipped but still will not give me a real tracking number. I HIGHLY recommend that everyone who is dealing with shipping issues/non responsive customer service (Uly G?) to file with the BBB so that they can track what is going on with the company.

Back in March 2019 I ordered saffron threads, jamaican jerk seasoning, and shichimi togarashi. A few weeks ago, I received saffron threads and no salt seasoning (which I did not order). No togarashi. And my name is Sonya not Stephanie. Will you be sending me the correct order. Please see photo below of original order.....not impressed.

My kids got me a gift certificate from RawSpiceBar. I was so excited. I ordered spices December 30th and it is now January 17th and I have not received them. I have contacted customer service and received no response. They have no phone number listed on their site and no updates to the order confirmation that is emailed when you first order. Do not order anything from this company. Very disappointed. I really want my spices that I ordered. Order # RSB52507

I ordered spices on April 27th and it's now May 12th I still have not received anything from Raw Spice Bar, and I sent an email to customer support that they have not responded to. It's been over 2 weeks so it's unacceptable at this point.

I ordered from them a couple of years ago, and it took a long time to get my spices, but they were good. NOT ANYMORE! I just had to file a complaint with paypal because it's mid-Aug and I still don't have an order from early May. All I get from them is excuses, and dates they never meet. BEWARE. This is a scam and they steal money.

Order #RSB53626, I ordered 40.00 of spices back in April, I paid in full online, no spices were delivered. I emailed the company twice, once in May, once in June and still no response at all (as of June 9th, 2020). No phone number on the website. I have left a complaint with the BBB about this company.

Spice kits have left me feeling pretty meh, taste-wise. Often the instructions leave out ingredients in the list, but get mentioned somewhere in the preparation instructions. (This has happened to me multiple times) Unable to log into my account now to cancel and email responses for help have yet to arrive.

I've been with Raw Spice Bar for about 3 years. During that time, I've received, on a quarterly bases, a very nice variety of spices. The sizes were very generous. This year, the spices haven't arrived quarterly, they've switched to small tins, and only four tins arrived. Although I never counted exactly how many packets there were, it was at least six to eight packets of spices. I logged in today, for the first time since subscribing, and had been charged $88! Also to my surprise, my account had been canceled. Whatever changes have been made at Raw Spice Bar are not positive, at least for their shrinking customer base. Very disappointing.

Ordered a "Gift" card for my Parents who are retired and enjoy experimenting with dishes as one of their X-mas gifts this season. Turns out the gift card (Which was in excess of one hundred and fifty dollars) only supplies a discount on purchases so in order for you to fully redeem your "Gift Card" you have to pay in. I went back and looked and if it says anywhere in the gift card purchasing process that it is only a "Discount" card it is very well hidden. So "Merry X-mas Folks, oh and by the way pay for half your gift!"

I received the subscription to RawSpiceBar before Christmas. I activated my gift 12/24/16 and have not received anything from the company. After multiple emails back and forth and false promises still nothing. There customer service will not answer direct question like why my account still shows "processing" even as of today which is 3/5/17. They SUCK. Worst experience ever. Who has a company that doesn't have a phone number to contact them????

You sign up and are told your subscription will automatically "rollover" but you can cancel that any time by logging into Manage My Subscription" but of course there is no box, category or electronic avenue to cancel your "rollover" so they just keep charging you. I had to report them to my bank for fraud to prevent this rip off from continuing to charge my credit card, DON'T SIGN UP!!! SCAM SCAM SCAM. Lori H. Seattle, WA

I ordered and paid for spices that I never received. My bank reversed all credit card charges after I filed a complaint with Visa, the BBB and the bank. The company is simple awful and unresponsive to emails. There are other legit spice companies (Penzey's is a good one that I can think of off-hand). I wonder if the 4 and 5 star reviews on here were written by staff and/or friends of company employees??

Despite claiming that their gift cards never expire the one I bought my wife for her birthday is now disabled. Also I tried the chat feature that claims they respond immediately except they don't respond at all. It would seem the business might not be operating. I wouldn't buy anything from the site.
