I went on their site to POTENTIALLY purchase their course. Before I bought it I went and found a secondary option and decided not to go with safe driver....well today I look at my bank statement AND THEY STILL CHARGED ME FOR THE COURSE!!! Wtf. Called customer service today and explain the situation and the lady named Mary said "call tomorrow between 8-5 and the girls will help you" I then asked who these girls were AND SHE HUNG UP ON ME!!!. Horrible customer service, such a scam.

I bought the course ahead of my teen going to the DMV to get his learner's permit. Ordering leads you through a couple of options that includes having you select your state. Teh process was easy; however, at the end they do ask some required and frankly annoying marketing questions. They do this after you've paid and after an in-moment survey about your experience has passed. When my teen logged in he was presented with sample tests from Wyoming and Missouri, not Illinois. No videos, no training. Just sample questions. Perhaps I missed something, but it was not at all obvious this is all they're providing. I figured there still may be some value in this--provided the laws don't conflict with Illinois'. The web address of the course is also not Safe Driver's URL. It takes you to https://course.nationalsafetycommission.com. Recommendation: Search elsewhere.

They ask way too many authentication questions and then lock you out of your account if you miss too many(you have 90 seconds to answer), then when you call to unlock it they quiz you to reopen it. I am sure if I would have failed, they would have used it as an excuse to charge me again. If I knew it was this tedious I would've just gone to the class in person and been done with it. I am afraid they are going to try to charge me again for my certificate after reading the other reviews. Very shady and misleading.

It's not just the $25 they advertise, they then charge you $30 to get a emailed certificate, the course takes all f-ing day, and you cannot just take the tests and move on - you have to wait 25-50 mins PER section and there are 13, and it constantly tests you with 90 second pop ups to make sure you're still there and upsells you constantly. There has to be a better one.

These scammers will not reply to any emails, I sent affidavit 9 days ago and three emails and nothing. Can't finish course. Warning!!! Ripoff!!! I will report to the right people in Texas to drop this site!!! Stay away!!!

The course itself was fine, nothing special really. I had issues receiving my certificate in the mail, paid $34.95 on top of the original $25 for the course to receive next day shipping. Did not get my certificate until 5 days later!!! Not only that but their customer service was HORRIBLE. Completely useless and RUDE.

Product was good and easy to use. Did not appreciate the upsell tactics used to try and add additional fees for rush delivery and rush processing, etc. Seemed to imply that the certificate would not be sent out in expected normal timeframe (preying on people's concerns with legal system).

I don't understand the concept. With this "Sheet" it doesn't confirm you KNOW the laws of driving & what "genius" approved NOTES during a Test? It's like DMV GIVING A TEST IN DIFFERENT LANGUAGES when all the signs are in ENGLISH (As far as I know) ?????

Found this coarse on Google, saw that it was completely online and convenient for my schedule, paid the quick $25, and now I'm on my way to taking care of the ticket I got by mistaking an HOV lane for a toll lane!

Quick and simple, and the enrollment procedure is a bit rebellious at the start and at the end. The application is very thorough. Learned stuff, that I didn't know. Steep affair, kept my time in check.

The customer service was very friendly and prompt with their response when I had questions/issues. The course materials are very easy to use and the online course was easy to maneuver through. I would use them again!

The sign-up and advertising is very misleading. They advertise $25 and that the certificate will be emailed to you -- but the email is an additional $30. Other online courses are much more reputable. SafeDriver does NOT show you BEFORE you pay the $25 how much it will cost to have it e-mailed. Others will. Do yourself a favor, save money, and take another course. Also -- don't believe the ShopperApproved reviews they have - those are bought and paid for.

So this site got me to buy because I read reviews and they were great. Bought it and the things I hated about it are as follows: 1) Makes you stay on the same page for 30-40min(you seriously could reread the entire page like 75times before the time is up) 2) Very boring. I've taken different driver's ed classes and this one was very hard to keep your attention. 3) It promotes that it's "the shortest" class. Not true. I've found shorter and more interesting ones. 4) Better remember the questions you answered they ask in the beginning regarding your personal info. This annoying pop up box comes up constantly to ask you different questions regarding those answers and you have 90sec to respond. If you get it wrong or run out of time, it suspends your account and and you have to call in and verify all this stuff. Plus they ask all these stupid questions again along with others you never answered before. 5) At the very end, they slap you with a hidden $30 fee if you want it emailed vs snail mail. Overall by far THE WORST course I've taken. Only thing I can say is the customer service representative was very nice.

THEY ASK YOU FOR AN AFFADAVIT THAT YOU WILL HAVE TO MAIL PLUS IT TAKES MORE THAN 2 DAY AND YOU CANT COMPLETE YOUR COURSE UNTIL THEY HAVE RECEIVED IT THEY DONT TELL YOU THAT WHEN YOU $#*!ING PAY THE MONEY THOUGH. THEY WAIT UNTIL YOUR IN CHAPTER 10 AND COMPLETLY BLOCK YOU FROM CONTINUING THE TEST!!! THANKS TO THIS WEBSITE I WILL HAVE TO END UP PAYING FOR MY TICKET IN COURT WHICH IN 175$ PLUS HAVING IT ON M DRIVING RECORD AND LOST 75$ I PAID ON SAFEDRIVER,COM!!!!!!!! THANKSSSSS FOR NOTHINGGGGGG

When you try to have this company mail you your certificate instead of paying another fee , it didnt happen that way. Instead I got charged for them to email it . When I had requested it to be sent by standard mail. This website is a joke

They advertize a $25 course. AFTER you've provided your credit card number they tell you they need another $29.95 for their server to email you your certificate of completion. You don't find out about the additional $29.95 charge until AFTER you've made your $25.00 purchase. It's shady as hell, even if it technically isn't illegal. Use someone else who is upfront with their charges.

Said it was the shortest class the law allows. Another company said it would take 5 hours.I am 7 hours into the class and still have another 1.5 hours. Started with a 10 minute time out and has another one in the middle of the course. I highly recommend either paying the ticket or fighting it in court.

What a scam, you sit for 4 hours and I clicked that I didn't want the Completed certificate sent to me, I opted for NO extras and I still was charged 2x $26.95 and $25.30. When I called up to resolve the representative told me that was to send the certificate in 1 day. Go to a traffic attorney and spend the $50 then you are not wasting 4 hours on the weekend taking this ridiculous class. I called up my credit card company and they took the charge off!!

They are not honest about the cost or process up front. You must order and pay (in addition to the $25 you pay for the class, for your driving record and receive it prior to starting the class. When you finish the class( the one you pay $25 for) there is another fee to get the certificate of completion. The class itself is good, but they need to be honest about the cost of everything and the order that you need to work upfront. The website outside of the material is poorly done and not user friendly. They would not have to pay so many people to answer customer calls if they were honest upfront and put a better designed website in place.
