A very big thanks to Sam for getting me a phone that Vodaphone could not do. I was with Vodaphone for 18 years and they would not give a tough phone. I spoke to sam she said they do contracts, so she set me up with a uleufone 6E, because of my business. I have not broken it yet and its a lot cheaper to a big thanks... Allen

I’ll try and make my comments independently unbiased and as honest as can, I have no loyalty to any network or supplier other than that of value for money and (for me) security, reliability of connectivity, good business acumen and after sales service.. So.. let’s be honest, depends what you want... plenty of high street shops about and on line “bargains” Some (most) of which have been in trouble one way or another before now...for various mis-selling reasons or hiking the price once you are “in contract” however: if you are prepared to swap (usually your network and phone number) around all the time (monthly, annually or let’s face it if you want a nice phone, every 2 years!!) that could be a “convenient” option for you. I originally researched these guys for business reasons .. (I needed a company that understood my needs... security being a major interest and customisations a high second) I spoke directly to Vanessa and Sam and indirectly to Stephen... (I’m guessing the top trio?) between the three they have everything a business needs (no offence to the rest of the business colleagues that I also dealt with which are equally as capable and helpful whenever I called or emailed), but In my case I found that whoever I dealt with I had a pretty much instant follow up from one of the top 3 even if it was just to check that “I’d been satisfied”. Interestingly I happened to mention my personal needs.. not just business (yes, the “Damn I broke my iPhone screen” type stuff) and also my international requirements... (friends and colleagues visiting the UK). Surprisingly, to me, they came up with matching or better offers and contracts than I (or my friends) were already getting... My recommendation? I’m still independent.. my needs change (and yes I still look around) but I haven’t found any company that matches these guys for enthusiasm, technical know how, or let’s face it general “it’s broke can you sort it” moments ... they have my vote.... and my current loyalty for the foreseeable...

I contacted the Phone Trader looking for a quality basic phone. Vanessa discussed my needs and answered all my questions quickly and effectively. The phone arrived in a few days and is exactly what I wanted. Advice was excellent and the phone arrived quickly. I would highly recommend them both for advice and efficiency.

Took phone in to replace smashed screen, and sensor stopped working, two weeks later phone died due to software problems. Took it back, they fixed it (it was nothing to do with the screen change, they'd made a point of avoiding warranty when I picked the phone up, by pointing out an invisible bend in my phone that meant the phone would never be the same. Picked up fixed phone, and the 69% battery died after 2 hours. Phone is now basically unusable. Would not use these cowboys again for anything

I was glad to find a company that could give me useful advice on rugged phones, as I need one for my work. As the Ulephone that I ended up buying is Chinese, it is good to know that Phonetrader provide the U. K. Warranty. I was given useful advice on which phone to purchase and the new phone arrived within 24 hours of ordering, as promised and a full V.A.T. invoice was provided. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I bought a defender 2 because it could take 2 sims and was Qi compatible however after buying 2 brand new Qi chargers one failed altogether and the other linked to the phone and cut out repeatedly. I then decided to splash out on a dedicated charger from the phone trader only to find it was out of stock. with no further contact from them for about a month i phoned them and discovered they no longer stocked the item and instead sent me an alternative which again didnt work. At this point i went to the shop in Daventry and when confronted with my issues admitted there was a problem with the phone, it seems it was not as advertised Qi compatible and they were hoping to get a dedicated base. Because the plug in charger always fails before the phones i have had previously they told me they could sell me a Ulafone 6 and base with a generous discount and that it could take 2 sims and a micro SD card so i bought it only to find that it would take 1 sim + SD OR 2 sims and to top it all they had the same deal on the website a week later. The lesson learnt is dont believe everything they tell you
