I've never come across a more deceitful and underhand company than tinhat and the entire direct group. The company motto is 'profit first'. Quite happy to take my premium then messed me around for months after I had to make a claim. I am still without a working phone and having to take them to the financial ombudsman. Be warned: they will ignore you and come up with excuse after excuse. I would give zero stars if possible. Avoid the whole direct group

I call 3 times for coustmer service, when I try expelem my problem the line go down. I send e-mail to try what I have to do and still waiting.

We kneed the theft cover to work even if you leave your mobile phone on the table and it gets stolen it should be covered no matter where you place your phone it should be covers we would love our mobiles to be covered in all sercamstances let’s see if you can provide this with out having such rubbish tees saying you are only covered if the phone is out of sight or in a secured place if we did this all the time then why would we kneed insurance we kneed insurance invade we put our phone down somewhere and it gets stolen

It was easy to join in however, i recently experienced an accident with my screen and the insurance said they would replace the screen as well as the screen protector but they didn't, very poor communication plus they don't have a free number to call for the claim, they don't answer all emails.
I don't recommend it!

I found the process of buying mobile phone insurance with Tinhat very easy, quick and extremely competitive. I received all the paperwork almost straight away via email. As I haven’t had to make a claim yet I cannot comment on wether the claims process is as easy as buying the insurance in the first place.

I haven't claimed on the policy yet so at the minute, my opinion and experience with them is irrelevant. Will review and rate if I need to make a claim in the future. Setting it up was easy, received documents in my email and the charge for it comes out of my bank when it's supposed to.
