Venue customer service is unsatisfactory and I will never remcommend them to anyone because they take no action for your complaints, their executive office/customer service phone line made me wait for an hour and I was still unable to talk to anybody after waiting for 1 hour. They will never ship your order right and they will charge you for something you did not order.

If you want to read what this store is up to, we are tracking our problems with this store on our blog. www.everykeyword.com This place is a scam, they canceled our order but left the shipping charges in place ($600 total) so now we are being billed for the shipping when no order took place. Ridiculous.

Its been been 2 weeks since i cancelled my item before it was shipped. The charge is still on my account. They said some one would be in touch with me within 72 hours 144 hours ago. To top it off. They actually tried to sell me some thing else because i had $81.00 left of my $1650 credit limit that the $1539 balance used was never shipped or processed!

I actually cancelled my order with venue.com today after a month of waiting with the same backorder crap as well. The Customer Service Rep told me that since it was after 30 days it would have to go to their corporate office. Furthermore I have now been billed for an item I haven't even recieved yet. Te rep told me to make the minimum payments since it's going to take 1 -2 billing cycles for this to go through and I should get all my money back. I don't buy this and unfortunately I saw all the complaints about this company after I placed the order. I just filed a complaint with the BBB. I'm waiting for their response, but I've heard that it may be neccessary to call the actually credit, World Financial Bank. I'm going to try this tommorow and I'm also going to see if I should get a lawyer as well.

I ordered a laptop and a cd player on september 15,2009. It is now November 9. I cancelled my order around October 20 because tehy kept saying my items were on backorder. EVERY TIME I CALL i would get a chinese lady or some guy. The same people everytime. Every time i call i ask for a supervisor or manager adn everytiem tehy tell me that there isnt one on duty, or they are busy, or they are only tehre from certain times. They are so shady adn assholes. I have recieved a free gift of speakers exactly 3 weeks from september 15 of course, and now im stuck with those until they send me teh return labels. I asked for them since the day i cancelled my order and i have yet to recieve them. Every time i call since saturday it says tehy are experiencign high volume callers adn im on hold and it hangs out. This last tiem i just tried calling i looked at my cell phone and it was 17 minutes adn 34 secodns and it disconnected automatically. I am very angry with this company and they say my order wotn be "cancelled" until 1-2 billing cycles, even though tehy BILLED ME FOR THe MOTNH OF OCTOBER AND I HAD NOTHING. I had never even received my prodcuts so i dotn get how they can bill you when you never recieve anything. I did pay tehm the one payment of $51 and i mailed that and my capital one out on the same day the 26 of october. Both were due the 31st. WELL capital one got taken out of my bank acct. on october 28, while venue i think deliberatly made my payment late by saying they didnt recieve it until november 2. SO idont get whhy it would take that long for one company and so quick for another. they told me several tiems they would send my return labels too by email and by us mail and i still have yet to receive ANYTHING. i am not paying them anything else so they can suck a dick. HOpefully i wont get bad credit cuz im hoping that in 2 months it will all just be credited back like they "say it will" but we all know how that goes.

Update 11/11/2009- After calling once again to check on my order I was greeted with a message stating that all orders have been canceled and all accounts were closed. So I am assuming Venue has now gone out of business finally. If you were waiting for an order, never received it or have any other problems with your Venue account please contact World Financial Capital Bank (the bank issuing credit)

My story


I am a new and very unhappy Venue customer. My story begins toward the end of August 2009 when I first received their sales catalog out of the blue. I am college educated, have good credit and usually trust my judgment. Well, browsing through the catalog I was impressed even though some of the prices seemed a bit high. Feeling confident I both applied for a pre-approved card and ordered a 15.6 Compaq laptop. I placed the order on 2cnd of September, this item was intended to be a birthday gift for a friend (Oct. 3rd) who wanted but couldn't afford a laptop. Everything went well as I anxiously waited the 2 - 3 week suggested delivery time line. Assuming that it would be here around the 25th of Sept. Making a long story short, it's now almost November, two months after I placed the order and two payments later -- the laptop is still not here! I've been given the runaround by customer service reps, having called a multitude of times (8 times now at least) but to no avail. Each time when inquiring about the status of the laptop, I am told that it's either been back-ordered (3 times now), it was already shipped on the day I call to complain conveniently (2 times), they haven't gotten any status updates on my order (2 times) and on one occasion I was put on hold just to be hung up on. Keep in mind also when placing my initial order, at no time did the Venue.com website indicate that the item was out of stock. The exact laptop is still listed as of today (10/28/2009) and as one would assume available. I am at the end of my rope here and feel that I have been more than patient. Generally I am very easy going, level headed, giving person but not one to be taken advantage of, but I am feeling like a fool right now. All I want is the goods/products I've paid for. It's simply bad business to keep paying customers in limbo like this. I am still paying for this laptop even though I haven't yet received it, too afraid that my credit will be negatively affected if I stop paying. After writing this I am filing a complaint with the BBB.
