I don't want to give this bank 1 star. This bank has taken out so much fees that it leaves me broke. There is not a strong enough word to describe the feeling of looking into your bank account and discovering the bank has taken fees for something. Not small fees either. I am so fed up with this bank and it's rude customer service. The face to face customer service has been extremely rude, not on one occasion either. Have changed since that ignorant experience and can say I am extremely happy with my new service and customer service. Also why can't the customer describe the ugly experience they have with banks.

i have been with Bendigo bank for the last 10 years and never have had problem with their service delivery, fees and charges or customer attitude i cannot fathom why a bank that displays social responsibility is down graded.

I have been using the Concession Everyday Account since 2018 and there are no overdrawn fees so I can overdraw my account without getting charged a fee also the interest is amazing.

My association with Bendigo Bank goes back to days before it merged with Adelaide Bank (about 10 years ago). Back then I cannot complaint on services they offered. Two years ago I started a family business, so naturally I chose Bendigo Bank to open a business transaction account. Everything seems fine until a week or so ago. A fraudulent transaction occurred overseas using my Master card details and I received a SMS alert from the bank. Much appreciated on this. So I organised to get a replacement debit Master card first thing in the morning of (Tuesday), 19/11/2019. Well as I write (Thursday, 28/11/2019), I'm still waiting for that replacement card!

Just imagine that I'm trying to run a business and cannot buy supplies, stock etc. for days! Furthermore, I cannot even update card details so my direct debit payments for various services can continue!

Mind you, my local Bendigo Bank branch even submitted another card replacement request this week, as the previous one hasn't even been dispatched after a week! The promise of an express delivery (due to business nature) of the card is taking 9 days and still counting!

I have used other banks and replacement card usually arrived within 5 days! Clearly this is something that Bendigo Bank still struggle to achieve!

In the meantime, I'm paying monthly account fee to get such a poor service!

As for the fraudulent overseas transaction involved my Master card ... Bendigo Bank has identified it as an unauthorised purchase and I confirmed this. I still have to wait for 45 days for them to return over AUD$800 to my account! This really is a joke ... NOT!

0 customer service, 0 security, 0 in everything. What you will do if a bank doesn't want to return your money and simply says go and make a complaint. Someone stole the money from my account and i put 2 requests and haven't heard anything for 2 months, they close my case without notifying or explaining what happened, gave me a number to how I can make a complaint if I'm not happy. unbelievable!! don't waste your time and energy with this bank...

Im 75 years old and have been a customer with the Maroochydore Branch, from not long after they opened. I guess all banks are the same
My new eftpos card hasn't arrived so I called at the Bank to inform them. Well it did arrive two days on. I contacted Bendigo Head Office to activate my card or I assumed. When I went to pay a tradesman the ATM said card not activated.
Back to my branch, a young teller rang Head Office, was assured the card was activated. Tested in the ATM not activated Head Office again, told the card had been cancelled. Let me remind you, this is a bank with total assets exceeding $4 billion.
The card was sent to Head Office to be sorted. That was a Friday. The following Wednesday I received a call from my local bank. The card has arrived back and with the same teller at my side, I extracted $20.00 from the ATM. Finally I have a card I can use. It gets better.
Friday the 18th October, I received a new Eftpos card in the mail!! No bank employee has been in touch. Not even an apology. From my experience it is obvious the management on the big bucks have little idea what is going on in the general running of the bank. That's serious.

I wish Bendigo bank did do bank processing on weekends like other banks do. To help there customers I called Bendigo bank 3 times and got 3 different answers one officer said that it will be done Saturday when other 2 said that they don't do processing on weekends

After 40 years with this bank and the closure on Saturdays and closure of community branches its time for me to move to one of the big 4 in protest of the recent changes.

I have held my banking with Bendigo Bank for over 15 years. You can not have a direct debit set up with them for a Friday. Friday morning I checked my bank had plenty of money in for my car payment due that day. Finish work Friday afternoon and see my account is almost $300 in the red. I am then left all weekend wondering if Bendigo Bank are going to honour the car payment or not. Come Monday they don't, have held my money all weekend and finally decided to give it back. Our local branch is open on a Saturday but Warrnambool no longer does. I could have gone to the local branch on Saturday to deposit extra funds but was not aware of the situation as Bendigo Bank do allow some transactions over the weekend but not when it comes to direct debits. They'd rather invest peoples money then let them have it.. Simple if there isn't enough funds dishonor the payment leave the person's money in their bank account. Absolute crap telling me we don't get the reports back until Monday but you've allowed a refund to process over the weekend. Very poor behavior from Bendigo Bank Warrnambool, [name removed] would not allow me to talk. Sad you lose sight of being a decent human for your income.

We have been with Bendigo for a few years and each time we had to dreal with Berwick Branch is terrible. It takes over 2 months to action everything. We have been trying to change banks and its close to impossible their processes are lengthy and they never keep to the dates that they provide their consumers.

This bank just sent us 14days notice it is closing its agency at Beachmere after approx 18mths with no explanation why. They came guns blazing huge signs advertising they would be opening agency at newsagent here. They had reps at entrance to shopping centre approaching people to change banks to them. I asked them if they were here for the long haul and their rep assured me they were and they were all for the community. I feel he lied and misled myself and others. I opened an account on his assurance like others and opened the account one of the Margate staff recommended me to. Another big mistake. When I rang them after letter regarding closure they told me in order for me to withdraw money to live on I would have to open a different account with card attached as one they recommended had no card attached and pay a monthly fee for that account as well as paying withdrawal fee's at teller machine here as none belong to big bank. The other option was to travel to Margate approx 25klms away. I explained due to illness I do not drive or travel that far so could not do that and that I had no photo ID to do that. Their answer was to spend money on an proof of age card. More traveling. I told them that I believe they have misled this community and were on a money grab by getting people to bank with them. That even if people closed their accounts some wouldn't so the bank has more customers than before. They were not helpful and many in this community feel let down by them. I and others feel they care not for the customer or community as they stated but their profit margins. Shame on you Bendigo Bank. You are like the big 4

I got scammed by a sophisticated scam artist on Gumtree and i was banking with UP (Owned by Bendigo) and so far i've had to deal with Bendigo bank for the case and no one at Bendigo has a clue what to do when something serious such as fraud happens. Branch knew nothing, case managers know nothing. No one can help me and it's all because i chose Australia's least competent bank. Stick with the big boys.

I just changed banks because of you guys closing 1 of my accounts over something so pathetic - but I really dont mind, am very glad that I have been put in this situation with whats going on in the world lol...

Been with you guys for over 10 years and have been getting treated like a piece of crap more and more all the time!!!

I'm sooo glad I moved my business account to the commonwealth a few years ago because you dont care about the little people.

Oh dear, watching open hours shrink, now no Saturday opening, gee why am I banking with them, can no longer pop over on Saturday nor pop in on the way home

Bendigo bank your adds say leave the big four and come to u, tell me why??? Shorter hours, opening later and closing early during week closed Saturday, queues getting longer, today 2 staff on queued out the door. And u call this good service

I’ve been with this bank a few years after taking over the morgage after a death in the family.the bank is happy for me to pay the account but I can’t check the account online. I’ve asked for regular statements to be sent one of whichI received.upon questioning the bank I was told the letters had been returned undelivered. The address was correct.

After 40 years with one of the Big 4 banks we thought it was time to look at other options. All our lives we had been model customers of 2 of the major banks paying off 5 mortgages over the years. We fell for the Bendigo Banks advertising promise of a better experience, only to discover they were even worse! No customer skills at all, the Manager at the Cooroy Branch was aloof and rarely interested in returning calls. The process of dealing with all the staff was disjointed and tedious. A complete fail.

Have been with them for over 8 years. I have never seen such incompetent banking. They even said they had security over 3 units that we didn't own. I am in the process of moving away from bendigo but they are being extremely obstructive.
My advice...bank elsewhere

I recently applied for a lowrate mastercard took them 5days to reply i have above average credit score supplied pay slips then they wanted bank statements i cancelled it i applied to one of the big 4approved in one hr card is on its way 2000 limit i only wanted 1000 from bendigo hopeless service bendigo bank

Have been with this bank for approximately 3 years having moved from the IMB (30-40 years) and perform 99.5% of my transactions online on a PC. I have never had a problem. When I requested to open another account it was done almost immediately online. Requesting another card took less than a week. Most of my messages through the PC app. have been answered within a day. Suggestions and questions have all been politely acknowledged and commented upon or answered. The very few occasions I have visited or spoken to my Nowra branch have been fruitful and politely handled. I don't expect every staff member to know everything about banking only to know from where to get the answers when they don't.
