Have been using other machines for years until I came across this one. Had no problems what's so ever. One thing that made me very satisfied was how easy it was to use and move around the house. The suction from the vac was very strong. Very happy

Can't go past 1 star on this one. Went and got the cleaner and took home only to fill with the solution and the water and find out the vacuum was broken and turning on and off intermittently. Very frustrating. Took it back and had it replaced on the spot, but had wasted the solution and didn't have that replaced. Took home and spent some good hours on the house only to notice that it really didn't make any real difference to the carpet. I understand that it is a slow process, but in my opinion the product does not work as they advertise.

This carpet cleaner works great and is not expensive easy purchase from bunnings I have 2 kids and cleaned up the food stains really nicely highly recommend your products even if you think you need new carpet

I hire the machine at Burwood Woolworths get home find out when I'm doing the floors but the hose is broken and it was leaking the whole time I got told to take it back to get a refund and pick up another one I picked up another one today my floss absolutely stink like wet gross mould I picked up another machine today and guess what that things broken as well get your stuff together they should send someone a fixed it and my carpet.

I have used the Britex Carpet cleaner many times in the past.. and have been ecstatic with the final result.. And the rental company I deal with are pleased aswell.. Highly Reccomend the product.. and would like to be able to buy one for myself one day.. Very Pleased Indeed

Have been using the Britex in our home for 10 years now and I find it very good. Use to use professional cleaners but found they did a lousy job and weren't thorough enough. I find the best idea is to spray on detergent with wand and leave it for a minute to dissolve dirt and stains , then vacuum it out. Then go over areas that need doing again. I find onlly need 1 capful of defoamer, not 5 like the instructions say or use fabric softener instead. Don't find the machine heavy at all , but can be a bit noisy. But what can you expect, it has to have a powerful vacuum to work properly. Have just finished doing whole house carpets, lounge and dining chairs and worked out alot cheaper than getting professionals to do it. Overall I find it a very easy and good machine to use. Added Footnote on 6/2/2017: Removed a massive amount of grit and sand that our vacuum cleaner missed!!! Time for a new vacuum cleaner.

We hired the Britex cleaner from Bunnings for 48hrs - not because we had a lot to clean, but because we wanted to do the house in two stages to prevent kids running over the damp carpet. I honestly didn't expect it to work as well as it did, so was pleasantly surprised. In fact, I don't think I'll bother hiring professional carpet cleaners again, as I was able to remove stains that they had failed to previously, and it wasn't much effort. It was great for getting around furniture that is simply too big/heavy to move. HOWEVER, I will say that there are some potential drawbacks to the machine:
- It's heavy and a bit cumbersome - tricky to get around tight corners, though the cord and hose were long enough to accommodate these spaces for us.
- It's LOUD. I had intended to do the hall near the kids' rooms after they'd gone to bed, but had to change plans once I realised how loud the machine was. I would seriously recommend hearing protection.
- The hoses can tangle which is mildly annoying.

Overall though, very happy with the results. I notice some people were unhappy with the price of the cleaning products that it uses and I could see how that would be a consideration for a larger home/home with more carpet, but for 3 bedrooms, a small hallway and a living room, it seemed fair - we still have over half a bottle to use for the next time we hire the machine.

I hired this machine today from my local Woolworth’s store and I can honestly say it is absolutely an amazing product. We had our couch professionally cleaned 2 years ago paid a fortune they did their extraction cleaning that lasted all of 20min and didn’t look much better. This product left my nick scali 5 seater lounge looking like it just came out of the shop brand new. I used it with the upholstery tool but used deep cleaning carpet cleaner and defoamer. Amazing amazing

I bought the new machine for cleaning at several customers' home in Bunnings Alexandria and the machine is sturdy and easily accessible because it is not huge and heavy.

I Hire the carpet cleaner from Woolworths and I bought 1L of "deep cleaning carpet cleaner" that should dry in 4 hours. For 60m2 I filled up the tank B with hot water just twice, left all windows open but are passed 12 hours and the carpet is still wet. It looks really clean, but the fact of not drying easily (how specified on the Britex product) is annoying me a lot. I hope is going to be dry for tomorrow morning.

Loved the machine, after trying many cleaners and pressure cleaners, this one certainly brought my tiles/ grout up like new after many years of tenants. I can certainly recommend for all to hire

I had hired a BRITEX for the first time, recommended from a mate.
I had used it on my rug and it didn’t come up as clean as I expected, so I went over it 2x more and itcame up cleaner but not as clean as I expected.
The white spots on my rug are still a grey looking colour.
I was hoping they would be white again, never mind

I was quoted $450 to clean my King Living sofa! I hired the machine from Bunnings and $70 and 4 hours later my sofa looks brand new. The upholstery wand was small but easy to use and the spot cleaner cleaned stains that had been there for quiet a while. If you just go over the sofa once you probably would not be happy - it takes time but my time is free and I will definitely use again.

Ok I read all these review prior to hiring from bunnings for 24 hours, but needed to clean my couch so I was hesitant but got it for $38... wow wow wow sooo good! So easy, it was loud so I put some ear plugs in, but great! Would definitely get it again! It cleaned my couch back to brand new!

I hired one of these from my local Bunnings. Worst idea!!! Total waste of money!!! I ended up with soapy water all over my floors and wand didn't suck up any of it so had to use old towels and clean it all up by hand. If this product is meant to make cleaning easier it has totally failed. When I complained to britex customer service i was told i wasn't holding the wand correctly. I tried numerous different grips and angles but these did not help - this wand did not vacuum up ANY water. Either you need some sort of special qualification and training to be able to operate this product correctly or it is really badly designed and doesn't do what it claims. This product does not make cleaning any easier. Don't waste your money or time!!

Carpet cleaner does get dirt up but will not actually remove anything stronger than sand and your average stuff that can be picked up in a regular vacuum cleaner . Carpet still looks dirty after three run overs. You're better off getting a large scrub with a handle and wash it and then vacuum after ..actually works. Big waste of money , was less sore from the scrubbing method which makes no sense. You have to work harder using the machine

I hire a britex carpet cleaner from my local Bunnings. It was fantastic it brough my cream coloured carpet & my lounge up beautifully. It even removed old stains. Will definitely hire again.

UPDATE 21.05.19 I must say that after the grout dried, I think it was cleaner than before I used the britex machine. However, I still wouldn't recommend the machine because it is too hard to use.

I hired the Britex Tile and Grout Cleaning machine for two days from Bunnings, with the intention of cleaning the large areas of ceramic-tiled floors in my home. I used it for about two hours, doing approximately 18 square metres, before I collapsed in a heap with every muscle aching (slight exaggeration, but I was exhausted!) I didn’t attempt any more cleaning, and returned the machine to Bunnings the next day. To explain:

My floor tiles are textured, and any type of mop I have tried only skims over the top of the tiles, and doesn’t get down into the dips to properly clean. I had hoped the Britex machine would do this, but found quite a few problems:

The head has a brush in the centre for scrubbing the grouting, but the surface for scrubbing the tiles is only foam, so does not get deep down into the tiles hard enough to clean properly.

After scrubbing the tiles as best as I could, I found the suction of the machine is not strong enough to remove much of the water, so basically, the dirty water was left sitting on the tiles and in the grout.

I used the correct amount of tile and grout cleaning liquid as given in the instructions, but when the floor did eventually dry (1-1½ hours later), there was a greasy residue left on the tiles which showed every footprint walked on it. I don’t think I was using too much water to clean.

The whole system is not a good design because of the fact that the wand head has to be manually moved to a different position to be used on the grouting, then the tiles, back again etc etc, and you can only do a small area at a time or you’d be standing on parts you’d already cleaned. I found it impossible to manipulate the wand head to do the cross line of grouting without standing on the area I’d already scrubbed.

Also, you are constantly bending to scrub hard enough, and also bending down to the buttons on the machine to turn the vacuum on and off as you don’t have the vacuum feature turned on when scrubbing the grouting, only when doing the tiles and (trying) to remove the water.

It is physically a demanding job, not as easy as it appears on the Britex video. I just wish I had read the reviews before I hired it. However, Bunnings were good enough to give me a refund after I explained the trouble I had. Britex say to ring them if having problems, but I didn’t bother. I was doing everything right, and it was just too hard and inefficient.

After returning the machine to Bunnings, I looked around their mop and floor cleaning section, and a staff member confirmed that there really isn’t anything that easily does the job I wanted, ie without getting down on my hands and knees and scrubbing. She also said that she has many enquiries for exactly the same thing. A professional cleaner quoted $800 to do the job for me, saying it would take him the best part of a day to do it (well paid, isn’t he?) I think I’ll just do as I have done in the past, get down on my hands and knees and scrub (or con my husband into doing it) – that does the trick, but is very slow and very hard work. So to any budding entrepreneur, there’s a big gap in the market for a hire machine that will efficiently clean a textured floor and grouting, more easily than the Britex.

I guess it was part the cleaner and part me the operator as Im fussy and could work on soiled areas more the wear and tear tracks in doorways came up better than expected .. Id highly recommend the Britex anytime
