Dropped my 6 month old car off after being pushed here by my insurer GIO, rear ended accident, not at fault other party insurer not associated with GIO covering cost.

Picked up my car after 20 days, in fairness they called me after a week and said you can pick it up we are waiting on a beaver panel but your cars rear is all fixed and you can come back to fit the beaver panel in 30 mins, I declined saying I will pick it up when completed.
Picked up and went through the report of what we done, the rear bumper which was badly damaged instead of replacing they repaired. Reason given it would take too long to get a new bar. I complained and left, called my insurer and told them it wasn’t good enough and expected it replaced. As it was wet when I picked it up I couldn’t really check the car over, when i checked the next day I looked over the bumper bar and saw it wasn’t even attached that well and had a lot of movement. I then looked underneath the car and saw substantial damage still there. In the sunlight the colour was completely wrong, my 6 month old car now looks two toned.

I went to get my Camry bumper fixed at Capital Smart Coburg after an accident. AAMI recommended this place. A big mistake, my car bumper is fixed but scratches all over the windscreen and side windows.
I called them and was told to bring my car in.

Supervisor Matt or Natt simply ignored the issue and said that they do hand car wash and these scratches are old. He did not even look at the windscreen and side windows.

It is 18 months old car and now I have to get the windscreen and all windows replaced.
Not sure what they did in the repair centre, may be spray painting next to my car or used dirty clothes but my windows and windscreen has been ruined.

Stay away, we are just a number

I damaged a rear bumper and the undertray on a new car,assessor agreed re a new bumper and tray plus tow hook cover ,fast turn around .On pickup paint colour correct ...but far to much orange peel..correct term?.Spoke to manager an hour latter car bumper had been polished or cut,as new .Front office girls were fantastic.Old saying cheap insurance is bad insurance ,but I was happy with outcome .All I would say is inspect your car before driving off as I did .

pitty there is not a 0 rating so ill give a 1 for tyrying, shocking service car delivered dirty on flatbed after electical issues not fixed, no communication and when asked for information fed lies.

When we phoned the person in charge of paying the freight charge $130.00
She stated she wouldn't pay for it.
Capital Smart didn't have a forklift to remove the heavy package they ordered from Melbourne
So the truck company had to come back for redelivery
Well you will need us before we need you and then customers will go to another repairer when they cant get the parts they require
You aren't the only repairer.
I am the only supplier.

I took my car in at 8am this morning and was pleasantly surprised to have it fixed by 2.30pm. Well done for the wonderful service to me and my car.

Its taken this company through NRMA 14 days to simply inspect, replace and re-install bumper.
The cars due date has been pushed back 3x. Disgraceful company. no care for customer etiquette

Our car has been repaired twice by Capital Smart Welshpool (WA) and our experience was second to none on both occasions. Last week our car was assessed on Wednesday and we were told to expect it to take a week. But then we got a phone call late Friday morning to say it was done and ready to pick up! Brilliant! Perfect job too, good as new. And the car had been fully cleaned inside and out. Cannot think of a single thing they could do to improve our experience. Our insurer is Shannons and they even paid for a taxi ride home after drop off and again to pick up.

Above and beyond from the truly delightful lady who welcomed me when I arrived and explained the process in such a warm, comforting, happy manner, to Dave the assessor who was so polite, knowledgable and informative. I was blown away by this company's professionalism and support. Their staff went our of their way to create a relationship that made the horror of the accident. They fitted in calling an uber around my work times. Even when I picked up my car, Dave came over and explained in detail what had been done and he could not have been nicer. The best customer service from a company I have experienced. Well done Nerang SMART repair - you rock!

Had to wait 4 weeks for a cable harness. So plenty of time to make sure everything else was perfectly repaired. Drove home okay, one week later with little driving done, a dreadful screeching noise from the driver side front wheel, where damage done involving kangaroo. Sounded like a rusty old wheel barrow.
Capitol sent tow truck to pick up the car and said they would assess straight away and call if it had to stay and they would arrange a rental car if I needed one, I said I definitely would.
No phone call by 4pm. so I started phoning, couldn't get through, when I did, guess what, "sorry where closed".
Thanks guys, you stuffed up my arrangements for tonight and tomorrow.

(Cautious 2 stars) ...AAMI really over the top sold me SMART and the 3-5 day turnaround makes it sound good, so went for it. Arrived and assessed in 2 minutes (!) to be told turnaround is now 10-12 days, as the panel is too big...on a small 2-seat car?!??

Worried now, as damage looks ordinary so questioning their skill level - reviews on here are concerning. Very polite. Uber home, with promise of call when ready and Uber back. Impressive looking premises.

Can’t fault the service so far and will give 5 stars if the quality of the repair is good.

Suncorp and AAMI apps say I could track the progress of repairs, but neither came close to working. AAMI also want me to fill out a form with diagram of the accident, but have not attached it to the email they sent to me 7 (seven) times.

The surprise of my car being ready in 3 days, not 10-12, meant I was in Brisbane when called. With Easter in the way, I now can’t collect it for a further 4 business days, it’ll be a week in the end. I’ll ignore this if the repair is good.

FINAL EDIT:
Collected car after Easter. Seems to be a very good repair and told there is a lifetime guarantee on the work.

5 stars practically flawless from start to finish. SMART in Nerang, QLD

Waited 4 days for a minor damage rear bumper repair. Upon arrival anyone (apart from the mechanic) could see from 20 m away that it wasn't installed properly with plastic parts sticking 1 cm out of alignment at odd angles. I got offered a quick apology and asked to come back on Monday. The mechanic had the nerve to ask if everything else was OK... How could I know? And right now I'm not sure they know either.

I was directed to Capital SMART at Archerfield, QLD by Suncorp for basic repair. The Log Books stolen by the repairer while in their hands. The keys were handed across with the books...only the keys returned.

Suncorp has attempted to wipe their hands of it the scenario, hence I have escalated to Australian Financial Complaints Authority.

Had to get my BMW X3 repaint because we drove over spilt paint on the road and took them 9 days until I got the call to pick up my car . When arrived I found my brand new car a mess and full of dust inside and the tires still had paint on them even tho they were meant to be replaced and when I complain they attempted a quick cleanup and said they'll order my tyres for me . Next day I noticed my side skirt had overspray so I went back to get them to polish it off. Got home again and found the clips holding my flair guard had popped out so I had to bring it back again for them to had only attempted to glue it in place so I've rang AAIMI to lodge a complaint and still waiting for them to get back to me . Very poor quality control!!! On top of that during the drive home after they glued the flair I realise where is my car keys ? Well I found them sitting where my windscreen wipers are .

I had someone key two front panels of my car and I was sent here by my insurance company (AAMI). After they repaired my car I noticed the paint job was really bad, the car was covered with overspray on the outside and the inside. I took my car back and gave them the opportunity to fix the mess they had made. After first denying they had coursed the overspray, they eventually took my car to fix the spray job and remove the overspray. I got my car back 3 days later and the car looked the same. I phone AAMI and told them I wasnt happy, and they sent an assessor out see the damage that Capital SMART Hallam had coursed. My car was then sent somewhere else to have the panels resprayed again and to have the overspray removed. How did they get overspray over the entire inside of my car? If your insurance company sends you here, request somewhere else. These guys dont care about their work or your car. After some research I found that Suncorp own Capital SMART and AAMI.

I have been in the insurance business for years. This was the best service repair and insurance involvement I have ever had. From the claim to the repair I cannot speak highly enough of the whole process. Absolutely the whole process seamless. Uber from Capitalsmart to Hertz waiting for me. Hire car waiting. Same for the return and the repair was finished early and a great job. Well done.
