Today, October 29, 2007 I called the company & quickly got a customer service rep. They told me my order had been cancelled. They said the special on the external hard drive was a mistake. I would have liked to see them honor their mistake or at least contact me directly. I was still patiently waiting for an external hard drive that will never arrive.
Although the experience was not what I expected Computerbrain agreed to refund a fair portion of the expediting costs. This speaks well of their customer service.
Would probably shop here again if the price was right.
On the 11th of March, I bought and Acer Laptop from this store on amazon.com. On the 13th, they sent me a tracking number to follow up with FedEx. I live in Maryland and the item had to get to me all the way from where their warehouse was.
Somewhere along the way, the merchandise got lost by FedEx. I contacted them. They kept telling me we will call you back over and over but they never did. Finally I got a hold of them. They said they couldn't give me another merchandise or refund my money unless Fedex paid them for the merchandise.(Even though I paid for the item and the shipping was on their part) I spoke to their customer service and they were terrible.
They lied about everything that I asked them. I had already talked to FedEx and they did not know that.
Now, after paying $890 for a laptop, I didn't get my item neither did I get my money back. This is not a way to treat a 19 year old. I don't even have that much money.
Don't Buy From This Company. They Lie, They Steal and I Don't Think They Have Any Merchandise To Sell To Anybody. They probably take your money and buy the item from someone else.
My lawyer is filing a Lawsuit against them and I'm also filing a police report.

2/10/06 and I received it on 2/16/06. I did not request any express delivery though. When I received
the package and item were in excellent cond. I would recommend this store to everyone.

I called Computerbrain to cancel my order, since it still showed backordered. They informed me that they also received inventory - - and it was cheaper than Buy.com.
The Service Rep was very friendly, answered the phone in a few rings - -rare these days, and I would purchase from them in the future.
