Coolcases.com is great, they shipped my order of 3 fans and 3 tails with 2 fan guards on the same day that I placed my order. I also requested USPS priority which they did for me. That was a really warm feeling. Jim helps out and replies to my emails and inqueries asap. He makes you feel like you are buying from a mom and pop store.

I purchased a 120mm JMC fan (recommended from a web forum I frequent) and received an email promptly confirming my order. The fan was sent and received in 4 days in a large box, with styrofoam peanuts and surrounded by nice bubble-wrap.

I was very happy with the fan and the promptness of the service, but after about 3 weeks I noticed some clicking from the fan consistently. I emailed Jim and asked him what the return policy was, and he offered to send me another fan free of charge, and I sent them back the defective fan.

Great service, great prices, no complaints.

Note: My transaction date was actually in 2000, not 2003. The system wouldn't let me input 2000. Anyway, I think a review from someone whose case from coolcases has withstood the test of time is valid. I ordered a Chenbro "Net" from coolcases.com back in 2000 when Jim Hanson was just getting his business going on the Web. I DO still have my invoice showing all of his excellent modifications but there's no number on it. Anyway, a then-top-of-the-line Athlon CPU went into the case along with a number of components. Jim made sure the case would be well-cooled and yet not too noisy. I'm still using the case today -- four years later, although I've since upgraded quite a bit. All of the original fans still work, and the noise level remains acceptable. The original Enermax 350 watt power supply Jim recommended and installed is still going strong, and this system has been used intensively for the last 4 years. I remember that back in 2000, when I was trying to make up my mind which case to buy, Jim helped me decide after I gave him detailed information on what I'd be using the system for, upgrade plans, where the system would be, etc. I remember ruling out one case because he said it'd be difficult to clean the filter. With the Chenbro, I've had no trouble cleaning the filter. It's been a great case. Heavy, but durable. Lots of room for excellent air flow and lots of room for all the components without everything being cramped. Jim was a repository of excellent information on cases, he was always pleasant and responded to all of my e-mails. I think it's a testament to his excellent service that I still remember him after (4) years and wouldn't hesitate to order from him again next time I need a case. Highly recommended!

Bought a nice quiet fan from Jim's site yesterday. I didnt get a chance to rate him back in 2000 when I bought my case from him so I will do so now.

I bought from Jim the additronics 7896-120 hotrod setup in the summer of 2000 before his webstore was even set up. Back then it was all done via email.

Happy to say that the case is still "cool" and that its gone trough many computer upgrades still keeping everything cool and quiet. Its probably the oldest component I have and its still great.

If you need a case and want to business with a guy who cares and who will treat you right, buy from Jim.

I've ordered three Addtronics cases from Jim at CoolCases over the past few years. Jim is great to work with, and really takes the time to find out what you are looking for in a case. Addtronics cases are especially hard to find, and it's nice to know there is a high quality outfit from where to get them. Now, these cases are on the expensive side, but they are the best. And CoolCases is the best place to find them. Jim also sells other cases, but my personal favorite is the Addtronics.

Jim Hanson (Cool Cases owner and operator) responded with extremely personable, and detailed emails to each of my questions, and produced an excellent case for my system.

I had been running dual Xeon 3.0 chips, with the retail heatsinks and fans on an Asus PC-DL mobo, in a P4 certified case with dual 80mm front intake, dual 80 back exhaust. But, whenever hyperthreading was activated, the cpu temps climbed to 70 degrees Celsius, with no signs of slowing down.

With the Chenbro GENIE SR10403, modified by Cool Cases to include two 120mm front intakes, 120 left outtake, 120 right intake, etc, my system stays around 48-55 under full hyperthreading rendering loads, and 30-37 when working without hyperthreading.

The only noticeable quirk of the modifications was that the 120mm upper right side fan appearently detached during shipping (UPS), but, thanks to the excellent packaging, was unharmed, and easily reinstalled and tightened.

I'm very satisified with the service and quality from Jim, and Cool Cases.com, and recommend his buisiness without reservation.

I haven't had the opportunity to come back to this site and post a comment about Jim and his business because I've been so busy with work, etc.

But I just had to.
